Hagen didn't dwell too much and as soon as he got to the restaurant was nothing short of quiet. People looked at him but he paid no mind as he sat down and twisted a strand of hair around his finger. His clothes were simple and honestly not as warm as he should have. But he couldn't afford too much. So right now it was a white button-up under a white hoodie and white cargo pants with simple white sneakers. He had a choice and he chose food over warmth. Both were good but one was better than the other he assumed. He sat down and instantly went to reading the menu quickly. Sure of what he wanted before he even got here. And when he found it he smiled. The waitress made her way over to the slouching boy and hesitantly asked if he was ready in a rather soft tone that you use with children. He noticed this but ignored it, even though he hated it. A lot.

"Yes. I would like the Mickey Mouse pancakes, madame" he said with a rather blank tone as he looked up at her boredly, handing her the menu before she could ask. "With chocolate milk" he added as if this wasn't the most childish thing to order. He was aware that it was. But that didn't make HIM a child. He just appreciated cartoon character shaped pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate. And chocolate milk was quite delicious.

"Is that all, honey?" the waitress asked with a smile and got a glare in return. His fingers gripped a strand of hair but he then sighed.

"Yes. Thank you" he rolled his eyes as he leaned his chin onto his free hand, elbow propped up on the table. As she left the hand on his hair and began fumbling with the small chain holding his digital camera around his neck. Looking off into the distance as he waited for his food. He felt a small hint of frustration but hid it behind a blank look.

Holy Son of My Mother!... YOU'RE THE SON OF MY MOTHER!! Empty Re: Holy Son of My Mother!... YOU'RE THE SON OF MY MOTHER!!

It was a pleasant day for a nice meal, so Wolfgang was, as usual, perusing the local resteraunts and such, unnaccompanied by his guards. Of course, he had two snipers positioned within range of him, but only so his staff wouldn't fret over assassination attempts and such. Who would want to KILL possibly the most FRIENDLY, most WONDERFUL, truly AWESOMEST ruler ever? Preposterous, indeed. The mere thought of an assassin gave Wolfy the giggles. I mean, in other countries, or over international waters, yes. Assassins could reach him easily there, but in Gelemort? It was a long ways away, had tight security, and few people within Gelemort would even consider harming him in the slightest. So he felt entirely secure upon walking into the little resteraunt that was his absolute FAVORITE place to eat breakfast. And someone just ordered his favorite meal! As the waitress walked away from the boy, he smiled. "Eyyo, miss!~ Couldja make it two orders of them pancakes and cokit milk, please? Thank youse!~"

With a cheerful smile, the regally dressed eccentric ruler took his seat near the boy who also ordered Micky Mouse pancakes and chocolate milk, so the waitress could be better able to serve them both. Turning to face the boy, seated about a seat or two to Wolfgang's left, the noble savage (here that, Vasco, huh? NOBLE. Savage! >xD TAKE DAT!) of a king flashed a smile. "Eyyo kid!~ I'd almost say youse looks a bit too old to be eatin Micky flapjacks, 'septin, I eats em every time I eat 'ere. How old is youse anyways? Seventeen? Eighteen, maybe?" Examining the boy, Wolfy would have obviously been able to figure out he was no older than fifteen. Unfortunately, Wolfy was AWFUL at guessing ages...

Hagen kindof cringed as he hear the man near him speak. He looked back at him and could understand what he was saying very loosely. He didn't so much know the language but had picked up words here and there as he spent his time around the area. He did understand the age parts. He considered how to reply for a moment, hoping he might know a different language so he decided to test that out.

"Ummm.... Fifteen... Fifteen.... Fifteen?" he tried, hoping he understood one of them. He ran a hand through his hair before finding a strand to twist around his finger, looking at him with a rather bored expression, rather quiet otherwise than his response. His eyes were scanning the older man, trying to assess who this man was and how to react around him. He did notice his clothing and noted the regal appearance. Chocolate Milk being set in front of him. He glanced at it.

He did consider drinking it for a moment and slowly went to grab it before looking back at Wolfgang. He was unsure for a moment before turning back to it and grabbing it and taking a drink quietly then looked at the man. A bit uncomfortable with the situation, honestly.

As the boy repeated his age three times, Wolfy, obviously, didn't really notice anything odd about it. In fact, people tended to say things to him like that a lot! Rather weird, actually... But, nonetheless, he carried on with a friendly smile, nodding pleasantly. "Fifteeh'en?... Yah know, youse looks a bit older'n fifteen. Hm..." As he made small talk, the waitress returned, deivering food and milk to Hagen and Wolfy, offering a courtsy to the latter. "Thanks Vic'tria~ These is the best pancakes in the world, y'know." With a gracious smile, she looked back to Wolfy. "Thank you sir, I'll be sure to tell the chef. Besides, we should thank you for eating here so often- we get so much business here, just so people can see you!" As she walked away, Wolfy began to eat his pancakes, taking a sip of milk after every three bites or so.

Turning to the boy, he swallowed the food in his mouth and smiled. "Soes, what would I be able to calls yah?" of course, upon asking the boy for his name, he didn't really feel the need for an introduction on his part, considering the majority of people knew him by face and name... Or, to be fairly honest, it seemed to be a SMALL majority...

To be honest Hagen wasn't sure is he was just misunderstanding or if this man just spoke in a way he had never really heard. He figured it must have been his lack on knowledge of the dialect or something. He looked down at his pancakes and swiftly grabbed his fork and began eating, a little more cheerful now. He looked back at him for a moment before looking back.

"Most say I look younger, actually. So I am glad you think so. My name is Hagen Brandt. And you are?" okay, sue him. He didn't know. He hadn't been here all that long. He knew that they had a nice leader, but he didn't know a name at all. He just figured it was some guy locked up in a room, surrounded by guards, making decisions without ever experiencing the true life of the Gele people. Little did he know the man walked amongst them and even stranger, ate from the childs menu. He didn't really question to man for his choice of food as he never really thought about it in regards to himself. He figured judging a man by the food he ate was a bit silly. Mostly because no man looks manly eating a cupcake, but it didn't make you a girl to like them. Come on, they were freaking cupcakes. How do you resist their cupcakey goodness?

He went back to eating and toking the occasional drink of his chocolate milk. Not eating all that fast, kindof slow actually. He was rather surprised somebody was speaking to him at all. Not that it was uncommon for people to try but normally included them talking down to him. And that irritated him. Even when he was acting childish. So this was somewhat refreshing.

Hagen Brandt... That was a cool name. It was almost as cool as Wolfgang Murinyo! OR COOLER. Possibly cooler. And he said that people normally get his age too low? "Does they, nows? That's a bit weird; yah dunt even look any younger'n sixteen." He also noted that Hagen didn't know who he was, which was normal. Most people only heard about their country's leader when he made a public appearance; considering Wolfy was always out in public, he didn't need to make too many public appearances. Although people tried to get close to him and be able to say they hugged the Roy de Royaume, not a lot of people really even knew him by appearance, and some didn't even know his name. So this was rather normal. "Roy de Royaume de Gelemort, Wolfgang Murinyo II, at yer service, Hagen!~" With a pleasant grin, he stated his full name and title, as was customary when speaking your name.

Hagen was a little thrown off by how he spoke and had to think for a moment every time he spoke to figure out what it is he said. He smiled slightly as he understood the first thing he said. He liked that. Looking his age, or even a year above his age. It was better than looking 12. That was for sure. "Thanks" he felt the need to say, twisting a strand of hair around his finger tightly as he used his other hand to take a slow drink. He set the cup down then tapped his fingers lightly on the table before hearing the second part and his fingers froze as he thought for a second. His last name... No, it was most likely a coincidence. A lot of last names were shared by people who were in no way related. So he figured this was one of those cases. He looked at him and smiled uncomfortably. Something about this man was odd, and now with the knowledge of him being the leader of this place seemed even more odd. Politically you usually didn't allow the man who orders Mickey Mouse pancakes run a country. He then remembered he shouldn't judge based on that but... Something about this Wolfgang seemed a bit weird.

"You have the same last name as my mother" he said, chuckling before looking back at his food. He still found that unimportant but hell, it was conversation and he figured he might as well not be rude so he kept it going. He didn't mind talking to people, in fact right now he kindof favored this odd man. If only because of the fact he saw him as his age. Which tragically nobody else did. Then again, he was quite sure there was many a time he didn't act anywhere near his age. Speaking of which... What was he going to do later? He felt boredness coming on strong. He kindof felt like a little playtime wouldn't hurt...

Behind the casual thanks the boy had said, Wolfy sensed a bit of happiness, something like relief. He had no idea why the notary commentation on his age would be so complimentary as to instill a sense of gratitude such as this, but he was nonetheless pleased to see that the youth of today still had some respect and courtesy. Or maybe Wolfy was just getting old. Young people ALWAYS seemed so out-of-order to old and olding men. So maybe not... But either way, I digress. "You're welcome, me bredah~" And what could be considered his normal dialect could, in this case, be called foreshadowing, had Wolfy known what he would soon learn.

At the mention that Hagen's mother was a Murinyo, Wolfy had to ponder this; it wasn't a common surname. So he had to see if it was what he thought it meant. Casually as a normal person asks a normal question, he glanced to Hagen and asked a question with bigger gravitas than that which it would originally seem. “Her name wouldn’t happen tah be Linda, right? She’d be somewhere in her late 60s, early 70s about now?” What he gave Hagen was a description of his own mother, and with good reason; while he didn’t have a brother he knew of, it was fairly possible… Hagen’s answer should determine exactly what Wolfy needed to know…

Hagan twisted his fork to rip off a piece of pancake of which he then shoved in his mouth, listening to Wolfgang. Having to pick everything he said and translate into more well spoken sentences which was hard to do for him. And when he was done translating he thought for a moment. He figured he must be some relative if he knew his mother. He nodded slightly. Yes. This was perfect. Beyond perfect even.

"Yes, my mother is named that. She is also of that age" he said then looked at her and smiled "You know her?" he asked, finishing his chocolate milk and putting down the glass down and looked back at his pancakes. Almost done, which he felt disappointed about slightly. But he ate well enough so it was fine. But damn they were delicious. He leaned back again and looked back at Wolfgang again, hair twisting around his finger once again as he watched him. Waiting. Curious of how they might be related. Maybe he was, like, some kind of uncle or something? Not by blood of course. He figured his mother got her last name from a previous marriage and perhaps this man was somehow related to this man. That just made the most sense to him.

Holy Son of My Mother!... YOU'RE THE SON OF MY MOTHER!! Empty Re: Holy Son of My Mother!... YOU'RE THE SON OF MY MOTHER!!

Post by Wolfgang Murinyo Wed Jan 11, 2012 12:11 pm

So... This kid's mother was Linda Murinyo, of the very same age of Linda Murinyo... At first, Wolfy wondered how this was possible. His mother would have been a few years too old for children by the time Hagen was born, it was odd. But after considering the possibility, he found something else almost as intriguing; the probability of the two of them meeting. It was rare enough that one has a sibling they don't know about. But it is rarer still that that sibling is more than twenty years his junior! This occurence... The sheer CHANCE of it was insane! But here they were, eating flapjacks and drinking milk together... Most people in his position would be silenced by the event... Forced to do nothing but shake their head in disbelief. Maybe even cry. But of course, the eccentric king was not one for being average.

He laughed. He laughed wildy and jovially for a full four minutes and thirty-nine seconds. Some people turned to look at the cackling man, and some turned back to eating, knowing that their sovereign was a bit strange anyways. By the time he finished laughing, he had regained some of his composure. But that really didn't mean much. Jumping from his seat, he quickly enveloped Hagen in a brief bear hug, grinning like a madman. "Ah, man! We're brothers, Hagen, we're brothers! She's my mother too, me bredah, ha-HAAA!~" Excitedly talking, he was a little harder to understand, but thankfully there was less dialect to translate. But who cared? He had a little brother!

Hagen was highly thrown off my the laugh that seemed to drag on but after a moment he just went back to eating and that was when he suddenly felt himself being... Hugged. And what he said... It echoed in Hagen's mind. the logical side couldn't process this... How could they be brothers? He knew his mom was old but... How old was this man?

"Ah, man! We're brothers, Hagen, we're brothers! She's my mother too, me bredah, ha-HAAA!~"

Hagen, we're brothers!

brothers!

brothers?

Suddenly Hagen smiled widely. Finally he felt an excitement roll through his body and he released a childish giggle as he hugged him back. He felt his mind began to shift from that intelligent teenager to the child Hagen. What were the odds of this! He was now unable to put numbers to that statement and felt nothing but a child-like excitement.

"I've always wanted a brother!" he said excitedly with a very pleased smile. He was unsure how this particular mood was triggered... Maybe he really was excited. But he wasn't really able to figure that out now. The only thing that mattered was he had a brother now!

At first, Hagen seemed not to be very enthused as to being his brother, and he had almost wondered if Hagen didn't want him as a brother... BUT THEN. He was reassured by Hagen's giggles, which he percieved as awesome incarnate. LAUGHTER WAS ALWAYS THE BEST SIGN OF HAPPY. Oh, and it got even BETTER! If Wolfy had been reassured by the giggling, what Hagen said next was the best thing in the world! "Me too, Hagen, me too!" By now, some people were looking on at them, amused, and some were rather touched by this obvious union of family. Of course, Wolfy was rather oblivious to everyone in the room but Hagen. His brother!~ "Whoa-man, Hagen, wese is gonna haves us so much fun! I'ma take you to the movies, and the arcade, and we can hang out at fast food places, and we can play video games, and kickball, and hockey, and all those other things brothers get to do!~"

Post by Guest Tue Jan 17, 2012 9:23 am

At the promises of video games and hockey and other fun activities he smiled especially widely. His brother... Imagine the life of being the brother of the leader of a country. He didn't know how to show his happiness correctly so he just giggled with a very happy tone. "Really?!" he asked excitedly. He would love the idea of being able to do all these fun things with somebody else who was FAMILY. He had always liked the idea of family, actually. His problem was never his father or his mother. It was environmental, really. "I mean, that'd be so... Awesome!" he said excitedly. He honestly couldn't even remember the last time he got to do stuff like that with anybody. Either he did it alone or didn't do it at all.

"I never really got to do stuff like that" he giggled and looked up at him with a wide smile and a childish sparkle in his eyes. At first he thought this man was weird but as soon as he found out who he was how could he possibly think he is weird now? Family wasn't weird. Even if they WERE weird. They were family. And you had to love family, right? Right? Well, just now, Hagen pretty much did. Maybe he will think this out more when he loses his childish wave of excitement.

Actually he would most likely talk himself out of his love later. Then actually work towards that. But right now he wasn't going to judge at all his odd newfound brother. Nope. Not one bit.

Wolfy grinned as his BROTHER expressed excitement at the prospect of brotherly activities. Indeed, he too was excited; the closest thing to childhood entertainment he'd gotten was stealing and dealing. POKER, that is. And blackjack. Also, drugs, but that is irrelevant. Either way, now he could do stuff like beat his brother at Halo, or let Hagen beat him at Halo sometimes, or he could get together some people and play football and stuff! Fun stuff! "Really, really!~ This is gonna be so cool, man!" He grinned, anticipating the GLORIOUS brotherly bonding required. I mean, they had like, fifteen years of brotherhood to make up for!

"Me either, Hagen! Let's go, then, c'mon! We can start now!" Giving a great, purely excited laugh, he handed the waitress the appropriate amount for both meals, plus a pair of 40% tips. "Peace, miss~ Thanks for the good service, I love this restaurant!" Grinning, he grabbed Hagen by the arm and excitedly fled the building.
