Today was the day, for nor real reason. Every so often this day came around, with no solid parameters to go by.It just happened when the feeling of need arrived. Every once in a while she'd poke around the known to be still more or less intact buildings around Central. There was generally still a lot of left things that were useful i one way or the other. Hardware, food, things of daily use. What Raziah had back in the day known as officer dude's place had long become a perfect place for looting. Of course, the things of actual value, like canned food, and useful items, she had taken quite a while ago already.

Nonetheless, there were still lots of trinkets to be had in a place like his. Crazy a person as he is, he'd have quite the assortment of things stockpiled that were basically free for the grabs now. Salvaging random items and materials sure wasn't the kind of plan the girl had originally in mind for the near future, but what else kind of option was there, besides that and fighting with people over their things.

The place was, naturally, pretty rundown and propably held together by mostly the cobwebs by now. The temptation to simply burn them all was big, but in hindsight, Raz deemed it quite counter-productive to bring the whole place down to a smoking pile. So she went for the more subtle approah and cleared the way with her hands to begin rummaging through the sort of familiar drawers and cupboards.

It has been quite a while since there has been a visit to his den he would call home. A place which isn't really that lively, and more of a location to lay low when things aren't looking great back at the headquarters. Or perhaps to merely just drop off the loot he got from his adventures? He honestly doesn't remember, all of it is too much to keep track of. Most of those loots were hats, and lots of it, and he had to get some of them back.

Which is why, in this particular tiding, Nikolaus happened back to his original place of dwelling. Walking along his own merry pace, like a boss. He punched a looter or two on the way, and tripped another. They were an eyesore to the security officer. When Nikolaus finally reached to his house, after going down the sidewalk where he curiously saw a midget commit suicide, his eyes squint to notice one detail that he does not exactly remember about his place...

"Looters! Those mofos."

Kicking the half-opened entrance in, snapping it ajar. Stepping inside, as his saber was drawn out of the scabbard. Within a moment, he took large and fast strides past the rooms up to the sound where the rummaging took place. Forcefully pulling the door to that room with the ginger inhabitant to an open as he steps inside. At the sight of the girl, his tenseness relaxes, sheathing the drawn sword back into its place from her sight.

"Well well, if it isn't Dahl! My partner in extinguishing the supernatural and all that is abominable." His demeanor had not changed despite those times spent apart, "Long time no see, ginger-girl."

"Good t' put that thing away. Usually, pointy things wav'd in my direction turn in'o pretzels." The sharp response was informal as always between these induviduals. Crazy Nikolaus Stuka and snappy Raziah Dahl. She'd not actually noticed him approaching from the getgo -regardless of being used to watching every possible direction for assailers and begrudgers- but at long last, audible steps had her shoot a peek over her shoulder just in time to see a well known uniform with a just as well known head on top of it with a well known hat in top of that, and the sheathing of what seemed to be a so called "pointy stick".

"How's it come, that you's, like, not busy shootin' people for once? An' got the time to, like, poke aroun' Central?" Raziah had yet to actually face this person, instead, she'd blatantly keep looking trough the assortment of stuff. Not like there was any kind of possibility for Mr. Stuka to attempt and stab her or anything, since he'd already had plenty of chance to do that right now and even more so back in the day. "Aneway. Like, guess you don' mind me takin' some of yer things over the time. 's not like you were around to use 'em yourself or anythin'. Because it's like, hard t' make a living off nuthin' and favours alone. Need t' live off, like, somethin' at least." Some things found their way into the shoulder bag she brought while they were talking, others didn't made the quality check and kind of dropped to the floor. THe redhead mostly took things of daily use to pawn off for other stuff and items that would make for reasonable material in metal business, like old cutlery to remold into useful things. Since in the end, even though the whole destruction thing already happened quite a while back, not much was back to standarts in the general area of Central City.

Of course she was sort of happy to meet someone she'd known, but it was far off a tearful re-uniting. Nevertheless, Raz kind of was anxious to hear a line of news or two that might be helpful in one way or the other. This guy usually had something going on. Maybe even something profitable. After all, she'd still no plans to live in current circumstances forever. And to get out of the pile of rubbish that was central for a while now, she'd proapbly do anything. Sadly, one cannot just walk out there and leave it, unless they wanted to be left with nothing after a few miles of walking and a few days passing. Otherwise, she'd sone that right off the bat.

He browsed through the things of his laid in such a chaotic mess. Just why did the ginger girl mess up his home? He leaves for JUST a few months, or some time, and she messes his house up and lets spiders take residence in his place, and probably let a few looters take some of his well deserved and well given treasure he reaped from the people, righteously, if he may so add as well.

"Oh? Shooting people? Pssshhh, that's old news. It's just too bloody easy, or rather bloodlessly easy..." His fingers lace against the saber's pommel, tapping against the pristine frame of the fine sword, "I personally am the sort of pointy person that likes to cut myself a head, or ahead."

It was a while since he seen Dahl anyways, Razberry Dahl, or was it Raza Dahl? Ah well, she had that kind of forgettable first name, but an easily memorable surname. For all he knew, she was probably dead in that whole RIOTE explosion deal back then, but that so far has been pretty much a failure, seeing how she draws breath, how she is alive. That Raziah Dahl is just one tough S.O.B. cookie to crack and crumble under the toll of war.

"Sure, sure, take them. It's not like I don't have any use for my own hard bought things..." He sarcastically quipped, "Would you like me to hand you some of my cash as well? Seeing how you're greedily TAKING MY BELONGINGS, I don't know why I am not arresting you at this point."

He walked backwards and past the door, swaying the creaking and obviously defected door to an open and close, until it snapped off its hinges... yep, he isn't living here anymore, screw this.

"Bah, a man can't leave his house without it being broken into these days." He grumbles. Thoughts of Cenz flashed in his mind, just how much to renovate it, which at this point, he thought it'd be better to just take residence in Hei's old apartment, "If you really want to do something besides leeching off of me, just join the military or something. They need alchemists to do their jobs, and you obviously have too much time on your hands." His eyes narrow into saucers, "What have you been doing for the past few days anyways? Do you even have a job? I should've figured you put your entire life on my hands, not that I don't appreciate the authority I should have over you."

At least there was that. Free stuff, all right. Since she'd long stopped paying attention to sarcasm on this one guy. "But of course, if there's, like, some money to be 'ad, coun' me right in." Raziah kind of expected him to step back from that offer for free money to go with the free stuff she had already snatched. "And of course, you're not arrestin' me, like, anytime soon. It's the least people can do in this big pie of rocky crap right now. Like, make the best of what there is to be had, the military dude's shoul'n't be arrestin' citizens tryin' to not die. And if you do now'days, there's, like, plenty of more to go around with a record far longer."

There really wasn't much left in that shell of concrete, besides dirt, shattered windows and broken things, maybe some old things as well, but not much of real value, so the smithess was done ratehr fast. And with that, she was able to actually for the first real time in a while turn to that officer guy instead of talking to him while averted. Too bad he was in fact just about to leave the place again, seemingly mixed between disappointment of how his place turned out and being straight upset about it. "What would they, like, even need people like me for. The so called looters, that steal stuff from each other, who apparently need to be, like arrested or anything." If there ever was one chance to give a snappy response, this might just be the one. And the redhead couldn't pass on it. One second she was just a tiny step over a common thief, and all of a sudden, she'd been promoted to worth of an actual job with the military. The hell kinda hypocrisy was that? Surely none to let pass by uncalled. "And of course, i don't 'ave, like, a job. Pile of rocks ain' exactly the best place to find any. In case you, like, 'ad not noticed yet." Tripping over random things, pieces of random things, random rubble and other unspecified matter, Raz decided to follow Nikolaus back to the hole in the wall where a door resided not too long ago. "Then a'ain, they'd, like, let you in and made you sort-of-important, i guess." Blatantly ignoring the generous gifting of useless scrap just moments back in time, she continued. "You know, you could, like, make use of yourself for once and instead of talkin' ma ear off 'bout it, set me up the right way. Like, you must know at least some people to be useful on the topic. 's long as there's pay, i'm, like, down for that generous offer of yours." The part about athority fell victim to selective cognition entirely - funnily enough, if what seemed to eventually transpire here would become reality, that'd be propably truer then ever before.

In a mixture of swift and stumbling motion, the militant was shoved out the door onto what remained of the street by the one-eyed-ginger-looter. "So, do we, like, get goin' anytime soon or you wussin' out like a wimp?" In no time at all and totally shameless, half of what originally was said in the conversation had been turrned around to fit the perception of the girl.

Talk about a spitfire tongue. She had some sort of wit to her if anything, nothing like that girl he had met back then whom took a murder quite roughly. Wait, it's not a murder if nobody screamed help, that was a mere position re-assignment from life unto death. Right. Can't be murder if Nikolaus had done it, he was merely providing law to the lawless, and a death sentence.

Begrudgingly sighing over her point. There was no use in arresting her, jail is as full as is, and then he has a recruitment to go with. She could be trained to use things... yes... she did help in putting down the undead abominations last they were at this very house. And quite well too, despite the eyepatch she had. Oh right, she should be a veteran, a powerful soldier commando veteran, only reason she lost an eye and wears an eyepatch. Only reasonable explanation around. But she certainly talks a lot that his ears are chewed off, given Nikolaus has a mastery over not talking as much, unlike the past few moments, but that's an exception.

Wishful musing aside, Nikolaus saw himself towards what would be best defined as outside his home, or what was a pathetic shamble of it. Only the thing was, he was kindly interrupted in his musing by a rather thoughtful girl, with a simple shove out towards the street. For someone his size and stature, being shoved by the little girl like that, says a lot about her strength. A LOT.

He regained his footing rather easily to turn around to stare at the she-ginger, tapping his soles against the cementy ground of the street.

"Woah! For a midget, she shoves really good." His thoughts flowed, his face donning a frown from her disparaging remark that came after. Then again, it was the remark he didn't absent-mindedly pay heed to.

"I am not a wuss, fuck that. If you're REALLY up for a challenge, then I'll sign you up and put you into my security corps. Try not to faint when you get to see the action." His voice boomed at the smaller statured midget (then again, a lot of people are midgets to Nikolaus, or was it the other way around?) "Stay here a moment, redhead, I'll have to get something quick."

And so he zips past the miniature girl, coming back no faster than a second and some odd seconds. Flinging his uniform albeit dusty and reeking of some stale scent, mostly due to days of being left in a drafty closet, at her in general. Taking long strides past her and towards a recruitment station. Which shouldn't be too far.

"Let's go, I can't wait to show you how boot camp is like... under my supervision, oh, and put that uniform on." He laughs softly, "I'll be setting you straight, that I give no doubt about~"

From one second to the next, things were settled, decided and put to motion apparently. Within no time at all, some uniform was brought around as well. Although it wasn't quite one that would fit the much smaller stature of the girl, compared to the one of the original owner. But it would propably work out for now and when the opportunity arose, she'd already planned to complain until a proper one would be issued. Before the Stuka had even finished his sentence about getting into the uniform, the girl had already vanished back into the house they just left and around the corner inside of it - since SOMEONE had stupidly removed a perfectly fine door from it's hinges. "You, like, better don' even think about peekin' in on me. 'cause i'll make sure you'll end up with less eyes than me, if you do. B'cause, sightseei'n ain't free, ya'know." Besides regular shame betwen males and females, there was also another reason for why she'd propably ruin his day, if the military man dared to try and catch a glimpse of things. Which reason was, them scars of memorability status, that were supposed to be hidden away from people.

Moments later, Raziah stepped out of the place for the second time within just minutes, this time, clad in a uniform at least a couple dozen sizes too big in all departments. Rolled up sleeves, legs and tucked in cloth testified to this. The clothes she had been wearing up until now were stowed away in the bag originally intended for pickup things she had planned on finding. Shouldering the strap of said bag, Raz made effort to follow after the guy who had just on-the-fly-enlisted her into military service. "I, kinda, don't quite belive, that things gonna be much harder then living on a pile of rocks. And, like, as ling as there's pay, i can do it." Enthusiastically making great strides to follow behind the guy, the smithess was positively sure that this was a step upwards from where she had ended up after trying to go to Central to make a grand future in metalworks. If it was shootin' some people, she could do that, she'd seen worse by now and had more then one fight with people, most of them ended at least bloody for one or the other party. What could be different about this, except that there was some kind of structure, and most important, pay for it.

"You, like, better don' even think about peekin' in on me. 'cause i'll make sure you'll end up with less eyes than me, if you do. B'cause, sightseei'n ain't free, ya'know."

He looked back to see a disappeared Raziah Dahl, sighing over her statement with a slight twinge of irritation bulging within him. Okay FINE, she tries to play with the pervert card and all that, it's not like he can't imagine her without anything on, and then again, it's not like he has such aspirations to behold the presence of a girl years younger than him. Not really his tastes anyways, with the whole underaged pedophile angle and all. He likes his women to have more "oomph."

"I, kinda, don't quite belive, that things gonna be much harder then living on a pile of rocks. And, like, as ling as there's pay, i can do it." Says she when she came out, prompting Nikolaus's attention when he was a bit busy kicking around a few abandoned cans on the sidewalk to pass the time outside.

"And don't forget, in the brighter side, at least you got experience with myself! Be proud of yourself, ginger girl. Be very proud." The Colonel proclaims with good grace, turning to lead the girl forward towards the HQ... which should have taken a while, to which he took the time to enthuse and give her an idea of how bootcamp will be for the next few minutes...

-Next few minutes-

"...And remember, do whatever your drill sergeant tells you. It's a bitch to argue with the chap I'd say." Finishes the explanation with haste, the Colonel finally led her up to the Central Security HQ, leaving the door open for her to step through as he would follow through it himself, letting it close behind, that she would be enlisted in Security department, thus it means she may have to learn more about etiquette, Amestrian laws, and arrest regulations if not lethal force permissible doctrines.

"Lose the shoulder cuffs, you're not a Colonel. And... just sign..." He walks up to the counter, pulling up an enlistment draft, shoving it towards the shorter ginger girl, "Here. All your information, blah blah blah, typical enlistment shit."

Oh damn. She was not a colonel. Raz had kind of hoped that no one would notice this little detail. What an awesome skyrocketing career that would be, from ensign to Colonel within the blink of an eye. But alas, this was now foiled. So she had to make her career the old-fashioned way: hard work and possibly sexual intercourse with some supers.
Silently, the redhead had followed Mr. Army dude to Central Security HQ and recieved the ensignment sheet from him. More or less unwillingly, she filled her information in as best as she could spontaneously. In turn, the bit about eventual death and the accompanyieng distribution of belongings, body parts and organs was skipped and not agreed to with an X signature. For a moment the girl hesitated, before she was about to finish. There HAD to be a part for mentioning recommendations. Because she'd have to state she's best buddies with that Niko person. Or maybe not. In her mind, Raziah was sort of debating with herself, if mention of connections to him were benefical or hindering in this instance. In the end, she decided against scribbling a note on that topic on the back of the sheet and just finished it off with a superb signature in finest handwriting. "And t'is that."

Leaving the paper on the counter where Niko had originally pulled it from, the new ensign now turned to him, mockingly threw him a sloppy salute and summarized "So i, like, sold me soul to you people, now i expect fun thin's to happ'n anytime soon."

Nikolaus snatched up the fine paper of mighty paper bark skin, also known as paper as mentioned before. Reading the points to which he saw her handwriting he founded most abhorrent and disagreeable. By goodness! It's just so terrible and squiggly to a point he would just want to smash it against the nearest subordinate's head. So, he did the most sensible thing and flung the clipboard with the enlistment form at a random recruit followed by a clap of applause to the ginger head. Notably that said clipboard poked out an aide's eye out, which hours later on, he would have to get a botched eye surgery which leaves him with one less eyeball, as he would later suffer from eye perception problems and spiral towards a case of depression and alcoholism, lamenting over the loss of his eye as he would later contemplate suicide, BUT, that is not that guy's story. Still in present hour than the future, which would not have hover cars, or would it?

"Don't be a smart ass, we haven't taken your soul just YET." Nikolaus took a walk outside the HQ as he dawned upon a fancy classics car, signalling a Sergeant to man a car, followed by a gesture to the cyclops, "NOW this is your ride to Styx itself, off you go to boot camp where you'll be trained the ever living DAYLIGHT out of you, until you sweat your blood and eat your own bile, but those bits aren't important. The important thing is, you are now one of us, and are free to abu-- use your power with responsible temperment. Now off you go, get in this car, you're off to bootcamp first things up. Now MOVE RECRUIT! We don't have all day."

At long last. While it was with the ever-dreaded military, at least Raziah had somehow managed it to abuse her weird connection to officer guy to get a job. A job that would be the figurative ticket out of this hellhole of a live in this junkyard of a place. Or Central or whatever. Or somerthing. She didn't actually care that much, long as the cash would flow in at some point. For some reason or the other, she had, though, kind of the feeling Niko had not actually come to know her at all. All he did was make basic training out to be horribad and increasingly difficult. If he had cared to know, he would have known better then to depict that stuff hard for her. I've already outmanned tough guys at the ironworks, t'is not gonna be that much worse, i can live with hard work. That she thought. She wasn't as stupid as to believe it would be a good idea to misbehave from this point on out, so nothing was actually said.

After she had followed the person, who was just a few hours ago a crazy military person with serious psychic problems and suddenly was someone she'd have to take orders from. And had to like it. Thus the oneeye-ginger had to and did. For now. Soon enough she'd be the one to give orders and stuff. Or something along these lines was her plan. Tightening her poisture somewhat to not impress as a slob from the getgo, Raziah saluted Niko a final time -also properly as far as she knew this time- and then scurried over to the car and got in. Before she knew it, the door was smashed shut and the driver put the pedal down onto the tarmac. Or at least that`s what it felt like. Amestrian Military seemed to like it fast, immediate and without delay. And thus the learned smithess got herself into military duty out of the blue.
