Akito's Stoneblade Alchemy

Post by Felix Lucas on Sat Feb 11, 2012 9:10 pm

...........................................................................
CASE FILE: Transmutation Equipment

Akito Satay
...........................................................................
NAME:
→ Stoneblade Alchemy

TYPE:
→ Alchemy: Basic Stone Manipulation

LEVEL:
→ One

FORM:
→ Akito normally draws his circle with chalk on or near whatever stone he's transmuting, but for small, emergency transmutations, his circle is stitched on the inside of his jacket.

...........................................................................

BRIEFING:
→ Akito's circle is currently dedicated to stone, with the zodiac symbols for Leo, Gemini, and Cancer to symbolize the breaking-down, restructuring, and reassembling phases of alchemy, and the bottom symbol being the one for stone. The circle is mostly blank, to leave room for modifications as he learns new techniques. To use this alchemy, Akito has to know the basic structure of the stone he is transmuting. He is most familiar with limestone, granite, and pumice, though he also knows most igneous and a decent amount of sedimentary stones.

PICTURE:
Spoiler:

→ Akito's coat, in addition to keeping him warm, functions as a circle for small transmutations. Akito takes off the coat and lays it on the ground, circle facing up, and lays the stone he is transmuting on top of it. For larger transmutations, he normally carries some chalk in the left pocket of his jeans, which is normally protected from the evil rain by his coat.

...........................................................................

SPECIAL ABILITIES:

→ Akito uses his alchemy to control the shape of stone. Provided he has his coat or some chalk, and some stone to transmute, he is almost never helpless. His preferred materials are sandstone and granite, but he normally carries around some pumice in cities so that he can make knives or spikes or some such in an emergency.

Not so much a point that needs revising, but just to correct out of confusion; the 'Form' is the form of the circle, ie what it's engraved upon, if it's anywhere, etc... not the materials you use. ^_^

Likewise, the stuff you removed about caltrops and the like would most likely go in the 'Special Abilities' section. Sorry about all this arsing about. ^_^;

It was already there: Spikes=caltrops.

APPROVED

Keep in mind shape restrictions, the fact that stone can become brittle if stretched too thin, also that you need to know exactly what you're working with - ie granite will be heavy and won't be as fitting for more precarious structures, and chalk will snap easily.

Just be careful. You haven't put many specifics/statistical restrictions in, so just make sure you don't go overboard. Otherwise, it's all good, and I like the way you're doing it.
