Though Theo dose not reconise this as Alchemy. Calcifer is believed to have a celtic fire god trapped in it's blade. To the point Theo even believes he hears it's voice talking to him.

BRIEFING:
→ The symbol on the left inner circle is Fire Reverberation. Which helps direct the heat once is the friction and inner reverberation brings it up. The top symbol is the symbol for water. It draws up moisture of whatever molecules Theo is using. The right symbol is reverberation. This starts the motion to his alchemy. The bottom symbol is for air. This draws air into the alchemic reaction. The triangles that make up the circle which make up fire. You can't have heat without fire after all. nsulated guards are worn on his hand's to keep himself from being burnt.

The lance blade and part way up the lance vibrates causing the air to vibrate rubbing the molecules together till the heat of the air and blade at 100 to 300 degree.

So.... my only question is how does he create heat without burning himself? Does he have gloves? Or something? Otherwise it would definitely burn his hands given the temperatures that he can reach with it. So..... are there any weaknesses with his ability?

The heat is focused on the buisness end of the lance, the blade end.

Is it really necessary for the lance to be that hot? At the heat it is, without stating otherwise, the lance itself would begin to melt, as a note. It's entirely dependent on what it's made of, though, if it's steel, that's getting close to home.

As well as that, metal conducts heat, so it doesn't matter where the heat's focused - the entire lance would still become sizzling hot.

You don't realistically need to hit those high temperatures to kill people; 100 degrees celsius itself still hurts like a BITCH and will cause serious burns. I'd say 300-400, with anti-conduction measures implemented, would be more than hot enough to prove that Theo means business.

I meant a guard as an insulated grip-sorta thing to stop heat flow, but this works just as well.
