Malchik gay best friend

Post by Theo Chulainn on Mon Aug 06, 2012 12:59 pm

Theo sighed as he paced outside the teashop. He really needed work....Ran had sent him away. Cruelly shot him down and told him to go. What a waste of time and money. It was so much like Drai it hurt. In the end he had turned and gone back to central somehow missing the mess of the war that had messed the land about leaving horrid scars.

But now Theo was poor and homeless. He was hungry and desperate for work. Hoping his face wasn't plastered on papers he stood outside the tea shop. Would they hire him? He had no clue. The man t the karaoke place had left him with a good reference after Theo had to inform him that he had to go. Sighing heavily he let his back hit the brick wall with a soft thud. His bright Hawaiian shirt like a beacon making him stand out. Fumbling in his pocket he drew out the cigarette packet and lighter with sigh, He was smoking far more then he liked now a days...to much stress....Here he was homeless...jobless friendless....seriously life throw him a bone!

Oh, Central City. For over centuries Central had been the capital of Amestris and the heartbeat of the country, but with the country so often ravaged by war, it was almost ironic that a city as old as this was constantly under construction and presenting new buildings. Some days Shula really missed the lovely townhouse she'd lived in when she first moved here, the bouse attached to the others in its row and part of a historic district. That neighbourhood had stood more than a hundred years. RIOTE had destroyed it the first time they swept through the city, and now that area was being rebuilt yet again, modern apartments being neatly stacked where her beautiful garden used to be.

Being in Central as often as she was felt nice, but the many areas back under construction were just a stabbing reminder of the constantly turmultuous state Amestris as a whole seemed to constantly be in, like some volatile chemical in a beaker that was only contained by the glass and cork. One touch and it reacted, and uncorking unleashed hell. Shula sighed, walking through the area, a ruffled blue tunic swishing around her body over black jeans as she took it all in, occasionally checking her own reflection in windows of stores and homes that had survived. Central had changed so much. So had she. Hair that had once been buttery-dyed blonde and just to her shoulders was now snowy white, all golden traces gone, and the braid she kept it in most days hung loosely at her hips. Trendier makeup styles had become more plain, a dark blue and silver gem glittering on her forehead. By all outward appearances, Shula wasn't the same woman that have moved to Central two years ago. By inward measures, too; she'd learned, grown, and changed so much since then. Shula was no longer the timid and shy child of a sleepy village that was uprooted to Central by tragedy. She now carried herself confidently as a woman who held command of the third largest base in the country and their most thriving metropolis, and who was no longer afraid of the world or her own responsibilities.

South would always be home, but Central was what had helped make her who and what she was. Shula smiled warmly, turning the corner and very happy to see something that had survived. Something of a guilty pleasure, but it was entirely harmless. The little pink schoolhouse-style building still stood, its white gingerbread trim unscathed as the purple Pi symbol stood boldly over the door. The House of Pi. The nice thing about guilty pleasures where you were a regular was that everyone knew you there, so apart from getting little extras with her order, going there was always like visiting very fabulous friends. With dessert. And really cute butts. Normally this was where she dragged Csilla for their dessert-dates, and occasionally her papa when he was in town (and watching Phillip flirt with Mr. Holzer was just plain adorable), but today, Shula was alone as she took a breather. She was in the City helping organize things between Central and South and was running some new plans by Hans, but her meeting was earlier that day, and left her the rest of the day to just breathe. And no better place than the House of Pi for that. It just eminated happy.

Shula paused as she reached the door, hearing a heavy sigh, and peeked around the corner of the cafe. A man in a very loud floral print shirt stood, puffing at a cigarette and looking genuinely bummed. Then again, Central had suffered massive losses; a lot of people looked pretty forlorn. Be thou for the people... Letting go of the brass handle, Shula stepped closer, keeping a polite distance from the man. "Excuse me," Shula said politely, waiting for Theo to acknowledge her or tell her to piss off. "Is everything alright?"

"Excuse me," He jumped nearly dropping the cigarette that he clutched tightly between hissed teeth. "Is everything alright?" Red eye's met red and Theo was starting to wonder why on the main land this weird strain of genetic colouring of the eyes was so popular. In Creig Red eyes generally meant that the owner was part of the Chuulain clan's lead family.

He shook his head sweeping his hair from his face and stubbing the cigarette out blowing out the last of the smoke through his nose. "Um...yeah I guess..." He mumbled taking in the short girl in. She was a proper albino with white snowy hair. She was a cute sort of woman who seemed to radiate warmth. He smiled weakly licking his lips. "Just...pre interview nerves so to speak." His voice was lyrical showing his accent from the green nation.

He shifted nervously in front of her. “Um...sorry for wasting your time....” He grumbled feeling the urge to have a second cigarette. He really needed to cut down before it affect him like cancers or....make him fat urgh he really didn't want that now.

"Um...yeah I guess..." Shula looked at Theo as he finished his cigarette, long-used tot the smell of someone else smoking. At a place like the House of Pi, there were usually only a few reasons guys would be fidgeting outside like this. One, they were a boyfriend of one of the staff and fighting with them (which never made for a a good day for anyone); two, they were a boyfriend of some girl who'd gone into the cafe for sweets and didn't want to go in themselves (even though Mr. Holzer promized the boys didn't bite hard); or three- "Just...pre interview nerves so to speak."

His accent was strange on the harsh Amestrian words, lilting and bouncing, and almost musical. It was kind of pretty, even if it didn't pair with the language at all. Shula smiled warmly. "Oh, you're here about the opening? Be nice to have someone new in; since they lost Tino Mr. Holzer's had hell trying to keep it smooth in there." And good staff were hard to come by, especially picky as Mr. Holzer was. The man fidgeted again, looking almost ready to bolt like a gazelle.

“Um...sorry for wasting your time....” Wasting her time? She was the one who said hello. Giving a small shrug.

"Not at all. And if you're late, just tell Mr. Holzer that was my fault- he knows me. But really, good luck!" She really was there often enough that all the staff knew her, and Shu loved chatting with Mr. Holzer when he was free. The atmosphere, the smell of sugar, the boys just coming up to sit with you in the booth and have a fun time of it all. Stepping away, Shula reached back for the door, opening it wide and then holding it open for Theo.
