It was a warm day. The sun shone with a light breeze that made the chimes jingle softly in the window. The breeze carried over the light perfumed scent of flowers and the atmosphere was one of calm. It left Theo content for once in what felt like a long time. Actually he felt happy. Now working at house of Pi and as wait staff they had accepted Theo into the family. No questions asked about where he came from or his past. He saw Shula and her friends regularly too. Often enjoying his break with her over a cup of tea and a slice of cake. And sometimes it being Cake he himself had baked. Mr Holzer having taken Theo under his wing like the little gay son he had always wanted figured out the blue haired creig had a knack for baking and cooking and was teaching the other nice recipe book of sweets.

Today was one of those days. Theo was concentrating hard. An icing bag in hand filled with sweet whipped cream as he carefully left little swirls on top of fine chocolate frosting. He was hoping Shula would be visiting today to sample his chocolate and strawberry cake and have nice chat.....maybe she would bring that brother of hers too. The man sure was some nice eye candy to stare at. Humming to himself s he placed a fresh strawberry on the whirl of cream he couldn't help but smile. He was....a lot happier now.

It had taken forever for him to even figure out where to start. Ran knew what he had said was wrong and in the end he had sent the poor fellow away. Here he thought he had been something special and yet, he ruined it, just like he ruined a lot of other things for himself. He REALLY needed to get a hold on his arrogance factor. It was getting him in so much trouble. With people he cared about, with people he didn't care about, it always got him in some sort of bad position with the laws and morals of others. He needed to learn and control him. Oh well, shit happened, he supposed.

He felt so awkward dressed the way he was today. A tight suit with a black jacket over a white shirt and a pair of ironed black pants. At least he didn't stick out so bad now. His black bangs covered over his right eye and the tattoos. Oh well, it wasn't his concern what they thought of how he looked. A hand ran (haha) through his hair and he took a deep breath, He needed a drink, maybe something to wash out the bitter feeling he was feeling. A foot in the door and then he pulled it open and pushed his way into the building.

What an odd little shop. Something he expected to see out of a movie and the colors! He blinked a few times to get used to the whole look of the place, what with the waiters all dressed nice and rather attractive. It made him wonder what weird fantasy dream he must have been having. It was all just.. odd to him. Nevertheless, he stood, trying to figure out if he should stand there or find a seat? How did this place work.. he was confused a bit. Those eyes looking over the people happily bouncing table to table. He thought for a moment, maybe the man was here. Then again, if he was, Ran was likely to get kicked out. Nothing new there. Ran WAS an asshole after all. So, he stood there, looking rather stupid.

Placing the now finished cake in the fridge ready for Shula's visit he hummed an irritating pop song that was stuck in his head to himself. Changing his baking apron for a serving on he couldn't help but sing to himself. "It's hard to look right...at you baby!" Swinging his hips as he took the other baked goods to the cake counter he placed the eclaires and brownies on display before getting on with his duties. "So here's my number...so call me maybe!"

Yes he was the perky one around the café and admittedly a little strange to new customers but his accent generally had them melting at his fingertips...and not in a sexual way. He was wiping down the tables waiting for Shula to have his break while singing to himself. His head would snap up every time that little bell would ring to see if it was the ishvallen girl and of course to check for her stud muffin of a brother had joined her but each time the only thing that grew would be his pout.

"Your stare was holding. Ripped jeans skin was showing. Hot night wind was blowing. Where you think your going baby..." He half sang to himself when the bell chimed. He span round fast an egar smile on his face only for it to fall. Staring back at him was the man who dumped him on his ass after he chased him across the desert. Biting his lip as he dropped the clean rag on the floor cringing at the large squelch it made on impact. Yes Ran had chosen to swoop down on him...swooping was oh so very bad.

Ranmaru Akiyama, asshole extraordinaire! On a mission for something stupid he didn't want to, was standing there, looking like a moron and shifting awkwardly. There were so many pretty boys around and it was beginning to be uncomfortable. The look in his eyes showed indecisiveness along with the mingled debate on whether to even stay there. He pursed his lips and sighed, shifted his weight then looked at the walls as if they were the most interesting factor. A particular man came up and asked him if he needed something and Ran ignored him. Why did he feel so.. awkward? That was when he saw the reason. A familiar face.

His eyes came upon those of a matching color. Red upon red with the opposing pair almost shocked and panicked. Ran didn't blame him, he'd react worse if he were in Alastair or Theo or whatever his name's shoes.H expected a scream and a smack or something rather painful like a stab in the eye socket. In response he pretended not to notice. How he wanted to talk to him, but he felt so... guilty still. A feeling he never knew he had. Despite his trying to bury it, it never went away. Hatred for why this man took it all wrong. Ran had cared he just.. needed to figure things out and now he wass being stared down like a monster.

Heavy with a sigh, he flopped in a sat and stared forward at the wall. Why couldn't he just leave.. he had to hope the man wouldn't murder him. Truthfully, he was hoping he would approach himself. Maybe then a conversation he had practiced would be able to work and yet in his mind, all he could think about was sweeping over to him and just pulling him into a kiss. Ugh.. what WAS wrong with him. He had no one to talk to about it and even Kaede laughed at him, calling him a pussy. It was irritating, no one understood. No one wanted to understand and with that, he realized how being an ass leaves you all alone. Oh well, he'd survived that long he could survive longer, he supposed. A cough from his throat and what felt like blood rising in his mouth. That was weird.. Must have been the strain lately. Oh well. Again, he'd live... hopefully.

At the chair, Ran just sat and stared at the window, weighing calories. How many each treat approximately had and the amount he'd have to eat without going over his sweets limit. Most of it was over, maybe he could get some hot water? That seemed easy enough. Yet as he opened his mouth, nothing came out.

His cheeks were a slight red but he couldn't help but smile. Had Ran....come looking for him? It was possible the man had business in central and was just coming here for lunch but part of Theo prayed he had been hunted down by the other. Quickly diving into the kitchen and brewing a sweet tea for the man he placed it on the tray. Stopping to preen himself in the reflection of the fridge for a while. Frowning at how his hair just seemed to refuse to settle right. Giving up he lifted the tray heading back out humming softly to himself.

Hoping Ran had stayed and not worried about his dive into the kitchen and had left. But luckily he spotted him sat at table looking very depressed. A fellow waiter walking over but he shook them off. "Don't worry...I have it." He walked over to Ran and gently placed the Tea in front of him. "Hello....Welcome to House of Pi. I am your host Theodore it's nice to see you...." He smiled letting his melodic accent roll the words off his tongue like gold for ones ear. He smiled softly a light blush on his cheeks. Being this close to Ran...he just wanted the man to pull him close and claim him. how had one man become such an obsession.
