BRIEFING:
→ Since Gavin's research into chimeric alkahestry, he's more recently turned to pseudo-medical applications to increase the power output of his own body, as opposed to relying on an outside source. The fruits of his labor are Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength, and Cat's Grace. They are not strictly offensive nor defensive, but rather utilitarian in nature. In reality, they are do not even push him to the bounds of human or into super-human territory, but rather help him perform as though he were in his physical prime.
Bear's Endurance was the first to be field tested, so-to-speak. Already middle-aged, this ability gives him an extra push in stamina. He can run faster, strike harder, and exercise longer. This is done by preventing a buildup of lactid acids in his body, which is the cause of fatigue and tiredness in one's body as a result of strenuous activity. While this does not allow him to run marathons for fun, it does allow him to stay active throughout the day, or keep himself from getting too tired in the middle of a battle.
Bull's Strength was next on his priority. By stimulating the release the same chemicals that repair muscles after a workout, they've gotten tougher and, as a result, he's gotten stronger. While he still needs to work out to keep his strength up or improve it, it also helps prevent a good deal of muscle decay due to his age. As a result, this “old man” packs a wallop with each swing of a mace.
Cat's Grace is the final part of the trifecta. Being an older gent, this gives him a disadvantage in two areas in terms of dexterity. First, it's already begun degrading and certain, smaller motions have become to increase in difficulty. Second, his dexterity was adapted from a different generation. While this helps him with things like hitting a baseball or cracking heads with a mace, this leaves him at a loss with things like game controllers and keyboard-and-mouse setups. By restoring his dexterity, he is able to operate as though he were one of the “younglings,” and go about his business. This, unfortunately, does not actually make him better at video games, but it does allow him to apply his dexterity to digital interfaces as easily as swinging sticks.
All three of these, however, do not allow him to perform at superhuman capacities. In addition, their continued use has led to him not only relying on them more and more, but also has a visible effect on him, and is starting to make him look much older than he actually is.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
→ Bear's Endurance: By blocking a portion of lactic acid buildup, Gavin can stay active longer than a man his age normally would be able to, and more along the lines of a man in his physical prime.
→ Bull's Strength: By stimulating muscle growth (and with proper exercise), Gavin can carry as much as any other young buck on the battlefield. Coincidentally, he can also smash things just as well as any other soldier, and soldiers are really good at smashing things.
→ Cat's Grace: By restoring his dexterity and also allowing him to adapt it to modern uses (such as dexterity with a keyboard and mouse), Gavin's hand-eye coordination applies to both old and new uses. This does not, however, make him any better at Call of Duty.

Re: Wolfe's Buffing Alkahesry
Sorry! Technically, it was done before, but after contemplating it while working one day I realized I had inadvertantly strayed directly into Wrath territory (a la FMA: Brotherhood). I've reworked it now in smaller steps, and I'm probably going to go in a different direction in the future than I originally intended.
So, this is the rework. Honesty is appreciated, whether it's good or bad.
