New Faces Empty New Faces

Post by Guest Mon Oct 15, 2012 2:26 pm

"You've been doing quite well over the past couple of weeks Sasaki-chan. Keep up the good work." The man behind the desk spoke as his head was bowed over the folder that lay open before him. Her picture was paper clipped in the corner, her expression proud yet serious as she had stood there for that photo. It didn't seem that long ago that she was getting that picture taken. She stood now with her hands behind her back, clasped as she carefully smoothed out a little crinkle in her police womans uniform. Her long dark hair was tied back in a neat bun, her bangs hanging in a point upon her forehead as they always did. Her blue eyes appeared calm and cool, but behind them she was a little bit of a nervous wreck. She hated having to meet with her boss. Especially under these circumstances. Oh how she wished that Kaede could be here too, but then again he wasn't the one that was at fault here. She was the only one, and she accepted that responsibility completely.

How long ago now had Kaede gotten himself hit by that car? That they had solved that case? It had to have been a couple. And over these past few weeks, she had been sure to keep her performance and whatnot squeaky clean. She could not afford to lose her job for such reasons than losing her cool. Sure, she and the head of defense had had their little... "excursion" last week, but they had caught a robber in the process. And THAT was self-defense. They would recover no issues in the hospital for the next few weeks for sure. But in any case, todays meeting was to decide whether or not she would be monitored so closely as she had been before. So far? It seemed like that would be a no. "Thank you sir." She said quietly, her sapphire eyes watching him as he seemed to consider one last thing upon the page before signing his name and closing her folder. "If you have another episode, I will not be so lenient. Dismissed." And with that, she quickly turned to go, closing the door quietly behind her. There was no reason to remain in a room filled with such contention for her at the moment.

Her lips tightened as she exhaled slowly, making her way quickly out the police headquarters to the street, one hand resting on the hilt of her sword to ensure that it did not fly around to much in her hurried footsteps. It wasn't until she was at the end of the block that she finally slowed to a stop, not even realizing that her other hand was clenched so tightly at her side. God... why was life so topsy turvy right now? Her mother was off on a mission for the next few months, and then there was the wtf between her and Kaede, and then.... She saw Ran. Closing her eyes for a moment, she took a deep breath and shook her head, walking onward towards the nearby park in order to clear her head. She could use a drink, or a decent series of drinks. Or... maybe someone to talk to. That wasn't her mother or her partner. She had no idea, so her heels clicked softly on the pavement as she strode beneath those sakura trees, the sun twinkling between those leaves.
