Jailbreak - Night of the Triple S [Closed]

Post by Sal on Sun Oct 07, 2012 4:00 am

With the exception of countless crates, barrels, and refrigerated containers, it wasn't such a bad place. A little chilly, but it was certainly bearable. Despite common belief, the chimera enjoyed cooler temperatures every once in a while, but that was usually when they were accompanied by snow. Snow was this cat's best friend, because it was such great fun to play in! Making snowmen, having snowball fights, and the rest. He'd once made snow angels and then played a rather unfair game of tag with his partner-in-crime, Secundinasci Invidia, or "Seccy" as the little captain sometimes called him. Unfortunately this wasn't a winter wonderland, but a storage room, and sooner or later the people that were actually supposed to be there would show themselves, and Sal didn't really want to get caught up that situation. After all, he had snuck in through an unguarded rear entrance. The door hadn't closed properly, so he didn't have to worry about any locks or setting off any alarms, and even if security checked the surveillance tapes later, he didn't live in this country, so he wasn't worried about anybody hunting him down for this.

Scanning the wares, he spotted a box full of meat. Luckily for him, it appeared to be the meat that was set aside for the night so that it could thaw. In the storage area, it was about the temperature of a refrigerator, so the stuff was still safe to eat, but at the same time he wasn't fond of cold meat. He knew he would go back for a few steaks after he found some less perishable wares, just to be on the safe side. Peeking back at the door, he reminded himself that he had to be out of here rather quickly. Sec was supposed to go through the front to wait for him so that they could flee the scene with a bit of attention once everything was said and done, but Sal wasn't old enough to be at a bar like this. As a result, he had to make a more stealthy approach. Pulling a few of the sparklers out of his pocket, he replaced them with some dinner rolls and made his way toward the kitchen. Yes, it was a bar, but at the same time the owners were smart enough to have a kitchen built into it to service hungry customers. While hangovers were always more bearable on an empty stomach (not that Sal would know), it wasn't fun to sit around all night with a growling organ. Those that planned to limit their beverage intake were the most likely to purchase food, but the occasional patron was past the point of logical thinking and did so regardless.

"This is gonna be fun," Sal giggled as he slipped through the doorway, almost crawling through. The chefs were busy at work, and the smells were so pleasant he almost regretted his plan to scare some folks. His sparklers weren't just normal sparklers - they first emitted sounds similar to gunshots, then they released a smoke similar to those used for military purposes. After that, a bright light that would blind anyone looking directly at it temporarily. Last, but not least, came the fireworks. Those were the best part, he had decided, but he knew that he and Sec wouldn't be able to stay for that long. That had plans to visit other establishments for various little games, some similar to this one, others, not so much. Planting the devices in the corners with practiced dexterity, he ran through the kitchen, his long, shaggy hair and tail trailing behind him. One of the chefs almost dropped his pan in surprise, but managed place it on a nearby surface before stepping away to notify security. That meant that time was running out, and Sal had to make a scene soon, otherwise things were likely to take a turn for the worst.

"Hey, you hear about...weird guy...jail...yeah..." It had been heavily accented Amestrian, and he guessed it was due to the fact that it wasn't a common language in this country. Sal stopped in his tracks and turned to the source of the voice. A rather large woman was sitting at a table with some equally large men, and the young Ishvallan was willing to bet his boots that the rosiness of her cheeks wasn't from the cold. His soft, white cat ears twitched and turned toward her to pick up the conversation. "They say it's a monster or something, no kidding!" At that, Sal pulled out the switch that set off his little devices and looked around for Sec. At his signal, Sal would set them off and head out. After the little bit of information he had overheard, there were some changes to his mental agenda.

Ah, Gelemort. The bitter and ice cold land of his grandfather and his brother, both of whom had once been kings, although his grandfather's incredibly long claim to the throne was certainly more honorable and well-known than his brother's two year stint at the job, which ended with the complete and total devastation of much of the country, only to be mended by the Loony King, also known as a Mr. Murinyo. It was a little amusing, really, that the one who declined the title of king here would know so much of its rather brief history; about a century since it's founding, give or take a few decades, and three kings, four if one were to count his great-grandfather, who was the head of the family when they were cast from Rouen, but whom died soon after hitting the shores of Gelemort, in one of the initial skirmishes with the Lokhyn, thus leading to his fifteen year old son taking the crown he'd been planned to have.

Hmm... Perhaps he should retire as a teacher of AP Gelemortian History... Eh, no matter, he shook those thoughts from his brain. Now was Sal's fun time, and he wouldn't spoil it by dawdling at his duties, due to some thoughts about the nation's history, since nobody really cared about Gelemortian History; it was the history equivalent of Calculus II, and nobody liked Calculus! But people did like explosions, and Sec was a slight bit amused by the prospect off drunkards falling off of their bar stools in surprise, as Sal's plotting came to fruition.

He'd been told to enter from the front, so he did such, after Sal went around to the rear. His captain was bravely going in solo from behind, and would work his way to the front, just in time to make a daring getaway as the chaos erupted.

But for the time being, there was really not much Sec could do. So, to quell a bit of boredom, and lose suspicion, because nobody just stood around in a bar like that. So he took up a stool, and waved the bartender over. "You speak Amestrian?"

"I do, eh. What'll you 'ave?" Ah, Gelemortian accents. They often sounded so... dainty to Sec. Oddly so, oftentimes. Not quite as charmant as a genuine Rouenian accent, a lovely sound he'd only heard maybe twice in his life.

"Hmm... A martini, I suppose." As the bartender prepared the drink, Sec turned to glance around the bar, looking over the patrons. He soon was approached by a man with a rugged beard and thick sideburns, who was a little tipsy, at least, and was interested in conversation, to which Sec could temporarily supply.

"So, you hear about the beast-man they caught, eh?" Hmm... Another bout of that rather graceless accent, it seemed. Ah well, he'd survive. At least the man spoke Amestrian fairly well, even while slightly impaired.

"No, I don't believe I have; do explain, though." As he spoke, the bartender delivered to him a martini. It was his personal favorite of drinks; a classic, truly. Two ounces of gin, a half ounce of dry vermouth, complimented flawlessly with a green olive at the bottom. He took a small sip of it, savoring the flavor, as he listened to the man again, who'd been steadily drinking, and was now babbling incoherently about some land-shark and a cell. Interesting... But Sec caught a glimpse of Sal through a window behind the bar, giving a view of the kitchen, and he smiled slightly, tipping up the rest of his martini, and biting into the olive, chewing it as he set the glass back on the counter, standing, after tipping the bartender and paying for his drink, and as if on cue, he turned to leave the bar at the precise moment Sal dashed out of the kitchen, followed by security. With his long stride, he made it to the Audi, his nice replacement car for his Mercedes, sadly dead and gone, on a casual stroll, taking up the driver's seat as Sal dove into the passenger's side. Hitting the gas, the car shot off almost immediately, narrowly leaving the bar cops behind in his dust. "Where to now, Captain?" Looking into the rearview mirror as he spoke, he caught the glimpse through the window of the bar of a bright flash, and saw the man with the haggard facial hair fall clumsily off his stool. Ahaha... Sec had to grin ever so slightly at that, nearly chuckling softly at it, amused indeed at his correct prediction. Glorious...

Re: Jailbreak - Night of the Triple S [Closed]

Post by Silvac on Tue Oct 09, 2012 11:24 pm

It had been four rotations of day and night since silvac had been thrown into the jail that this city possessed. It was unlike any jail he had been in before, they didn't remove his clothing like he figured they would so he still was wearing the robe that he had purchased a city or so back. The chimera had been careful thus far until he arrived at this city, the police hounded him almost immediately after he had disembarked from a plane that he had snuck upon. The chimera hadn't been prepared to handle such a response so quickly, he hadn't establish a small hide out in this city yet like he had the others or even the entire sewer system in the case of London. It was a very brief flight that turned into a rather brutal fight between several squads of police officers and silvac; eventually of course using some kind of batons and weird shock launching weapons they caused silvac to be unable to move. Instead of killing him they brought him here... where he had been fighting inmates to assert his position the best he could. Pretty much all of the inmates here were human... Save him of course which honestly made sense since he figured that no one in there right mind would even bother to capture him. He obviously thought wrong as they placed the bindings on him that resited even his awesome strength....

It was simple now, he sat in his cell and waited for his food while his cell mate sat in his rack reading a book of some kind. The man didn't speak because he didn't have a tongue, it was strange but silvac didn't feel the need to talk to this man, he just knew that he wouldn't mess with him and through that he wouldn't mess with the man either. It was a few more hours before meal time and silvac was engrossed in looking a map of the cities near here. His ears twitched and he looked up to note that there were a few prison mates staring at him; he was sure there was a few around the corner too. Instead of using brute force or anything the chimera turned his head back to the map. He inspected it for a few more minutes before he heard the bars slide open and someone step in. The chimera turned his head slightly to note that a burly man, one with a anchor tattoo on his hands entered. He wasn't wearing the orange jumpsuit like alot of the other were, instead he was wearing what appeared to be a guard outfit. The man set down a small circle platter that had two plates on it and then exited the cell closing it after him. The chimera picked up one of the plates, instead of holding food or anything of the like it had a piece of paper on it. He couldn't read it and the chimera furrowed his brow; the man that was his cell mate grunted as he slid off of his bed and then took a look at it. The man grew pale and sighed, he glanced over the piece of paper directly across from silvacs. In a few minutes the man was trying to explain something to silvac. He made a gesture across his throat and made some odd sound..... That's when silvac realzied they planned to kill the both of them; whatever reason for the man... but Probrably because silvac was a chimera. The chimera bit his lower lip and then the man punched the wall grunting angerly.

Silvac sighed gently and then sat in the middle of he room looking at the bars thoughtfully... they couldn't kill him if he escaped right? The chimera bit his lip softly and then tested the bars... they weren't as strong as he thought they would be. If anything he'd be able to break them and escape, perhaps maybe taking a few of the prison folks with him... The chimera grunted softly as he broke the bars off and tossed them on the floor, they would serve well as bludgeoning weapons. The chimera put a foot on the door and then stomped hard on it sending it clanging off of the railing and down a floor to the ground. He was on the second floor apparently, he had always figured he was on the ground floor. Now that he knew better he could formulate a good plan. The cellmates were startled all along the level at the metal on concrete sound; that was even better. The guards would be quick about this if they were smart... but then again a guard in a prison honestly wouldn't be as smart... hopefully. Taking a leap from the railing down to the first floor he landed squarely on a guard that was staring surprised at the random door that was on the floor. He went down without a sound due to the dual cracks of his collar bones as a 230 pound force landed heavily upon him. Silvac took the guards keys and tossed the firearm to the side.... which was smartly caught by his cellmate, the chimera also tossed the man the baton that had a warning symbol on it. Silvac recognized that as a baton that produced shock when it was used to strike something... at least it felt like it when they hit silvac with it.

The chimera glanced about and started to unlock doors in which people were getting out of their beds and such exiting their cells. A few of them shook their heads and laid back down; silvac didn't understand at all but didn't try to force them to exit. The chimera took another five minutes opening locks and such... until the first few guards arrive in utter shock. The chimera tossed the keys behind him (quickly taken up and worked on more locks by some eager prisoners) and started to walk towards the guards. Two of them immediately fled as fast as they could while the other three drew their sparking batons and charged at silvac. He sidestepped the first one, was about to counter the second one as a trio of shots rang out and all of the guards that hadn't fled fell gurgling as their lifeblood drained. Silvac glanced behind him to see his cellmate holding a smoking pistol. Shaking his head disapprovingly the chimera stepped over the bodies and continued on. Hopefully the commotion would be enough for him to escape; and hopefully with fewer deaths than that....

Re: Jailbreak - Night of the Triple S [Closed]

Post by Sal on Wed Oct 17, 2012 1:59 pm

After leaping into the passenger seat of Sec's Audi (and he had to admit, the vehicle was certainly nice to look at), Sal adjusted himself properly, holding onto his hat. If there was one thing he didn't like losing, it was his hat. Especially since it was a brand new leather hat, its rich brown color and pale yellow plume being something that he knew would make the pirates of old proud. Of course, now wasn't the time to think about some old dead guys - now was the time for action. Said action wasn't really something completely new to the tween, as he had done some questionable things in the past, but at this point, he didn't care much about what Gele's law enforcement thought of him. Once he left the country, he would either be safe right away, or have to lay low for a bit. He was good enough at the latter to allow him to continue without a guilty conscience of any kind. Dusting off his leather coat - which complimented his hat - the chimera turned toward his driver and trusted right-hand man, Sec.

"Well, Sec, I don't know if you heard, but apparently there's something interesting at the nearby jail. Whaddya say we go have a look?"

Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out one of the dinner rolls he's liberated from the bar's storeroom and bit into it. It was a bit dry, but it was better than nothing, he supposed. At that moment, he paused, remembering something. He forgot to go back for the meat! A look of sheer disbelief crossed his face, and his shoulders dropped. As he sighed, he shook his head, trying to rid himself of the thought. Despite food being permanently placed near the top of his list of priorities, Sal had other problems to worry about other than forgotten steak. Like the so-called monster they had captured and thrown into a jail cell. Sal tried to imagine what the beast would look like, but everything he thought of involved dragons or some such creatures. He doubted it was a dragon. After all, the only real dragons were komodo dragons, as far as he knew, and those weren't really dragons at all, just fat lizards. At that, he imagined a rather overweight lizard standing on two legs, its belly well worthy of being called a "beer belly". The overwhelming girth of the thing caused him to burst into laughter. "Yeah, right, a lizard-dragon-man," he laughed to himself, shaking his head some more.

Suddenly a faint noise reached his ears, and they flicked about wildly as he attempted to focus on the source. It was the sound of something exciting going on - shouting, but not really out of fear. As a matter of fact, the sound reminded him of most conflicts in movies, especially the ones about war. He'd never really liked them since he wasn't a big fan of unnecessary violence, but he had to admit that they usually had good plots. The ones he'd been allowed to see, at least. Being 14 had its disadvantages, and he couldn't think of any advantages to balance out the bad things. Well, there was the increase in respect that others gave you as you grew older, but that wasn't much. Despite having matured incredibly during the past year, he still had his 8-year-old mentality stuck in the back of his mind, and it tended to surface when he didn't need to be serious. Pulling his consciousness back to the present, he gestured that Sec should drive toward the noise, which just happened to be where the rumored beast had been held. Not that he knew whether the rumors were true or not, or if it was still there, but he was still curious, and wouldn't give up until they got to the bottom of the story.

Re: Jailbreak - Night of the Triple S [Closed]

Post by Sec Invidia on Sat Nov 03, 2012 1:02 am

As Sec drove down the snowy roads of Vaingloria, he had to ponder some things. For one, was his Mercedes really as nice as he'd thought it to be? Ever since Sal had ventured with him to the car dealership, and picked out the Audi for him, it had at least doubled the benefits of the Mercedes, and with some upgrades, was also fairly bullet-proof, and had a closed top. Because he'd learned a valuable lesson in open-roofed vehicles; crazy assassins adored them, especially when they served as uninvited passengers. Oi vey, he didn't want to even think of that incident again... Hurtful memories best to be kept with most of his childhood, ne?

Speaking of which, he did briefly ponder it; with a Cretan mother and a father who was rightful heir to the Gelemortian throne... Why Amestris? Perhaps it was Truth's doing... Indeed, as Sec thought about it, those crooked club owners and criminals who took him in weren't too bad for him in the long-run; as high-class crime lords, they had just that: class. They taught Sec two sides of the world; the formal, polite, and proper side, and then the street-style side, where he learned to load his pistols, to dance with a sword, and to gather information if he needed it, or anything else he could gather; from a wallet to a bounty. Maybe he was supposed to have been in Amestris... He thought too much about things.

Distracted, he almost missed the stop, had Sal not chimed in with his ever-deepening voice. Ah, puberty... Sec remembered it well, when he was twelve. One year he was around four feet tall, the next, a towering six foot five beast of a man. And by fifteen, he was around seven foot, serving nights at the doors of Central's most exclusive night clubs. He missed and despised those days equally, actually... True, he'd been used, abused, and lied to, but it was good work, good pay, and a fine home while it lasted. Nothing like the Ole Miss, though.

Back to Sal. "At the jailhouse, you say, Captain? Why yes, in fact, I did hear a thing or two, from the drunkard I chanced to sit beside in the bar. Something about a land-shark, and a beast-man, whom was captured, but for why, I could make no guesses. I take it as you, also, have heard these rumors, Captain?" A little rhetorical, but a legitimate question, nonetheless. And of course, in that same posh tone as always. He occasionally wondered how he'd sound while speaking more informally, but subsequently had a good chuckle; it seemed impossible to imagine. As far back as he could remember, he kept up the same charming tone of voice, the same posh, just-noticeable Cretan accent, and the same eloquent vocabulary. It was as if he'd had fine tutors growing up, and while he lacked those, he did have a band of Cretan slumlords for parents. And for all the crime they were worth, to the day he torched the place, them inclusive, they were rather scrupulous about the Proper Way. Hold the door for those behind you, stand as a lady excuses herself from the table, defend your oaths to the death with an unerring valiance, and greet a lady for the first time with a kiss on the back of the hand. Each little rule of chivalry had made him the man he was in the Audi at present.

Sec glanced to Sal as the young man laughed at the thought of a dragon-lizard-monster. It was indeed, kind of amusing. Well, was amusing, anyways. Until the Audi stopped near the jail. Apparently, there was a prison riot, that much was clear, and prisoners were escaping by the dozens. And in the midst of it all, Sec saw through the windows of the jail, a beast of a man. Lizard-like in appearance and rather large, though not as tall as Sec, who was essentially rivaled only in height by Slenderman.

"Hmm... Interesting." Blinking twice, Sec shrugged and parked the car, exiting the vehicle and stretching his long legs in doing so, dusting off his suit, before turning to face the door, and then Sal. "So, Captain; your call. Shall we enter and see what this ruckus is all about, or find another adventure to sate your spirit?"

Re: Jailbreak - Night of the Triple S [Closed]

Post by Silvac on Sun Nov 04, 2012 1:07 am

It was at the back of his mind; it was begging him to stop this madness that was going on around him. His body wasn't listening to his mind anymore though so it was merely just response to threat and an over abundance of it. Given the fact that once in a blood rage Silvac was worse than most normal men ten times over; he wasn't about to be stopped and he was lucky that most guards with guns or stun batons were other wisely engaged. The few that weren't were easily dispatched, he wasn't sure how or why and he didn't care about either at this moment because at this moment it was he and not them that would survive. The man that was with him since the beginning of this outbreak was tiredly leaning against a wall watching the chimerae break the ranks of the guards like tissue paper; they tried their best but the chimerae broke bone and metal like cardboard. His strength was far past what the gear was intended for this and only after silvac was done with the wholesome slaughter of most of the guards in said ranks did they realize this. It wouldn't be long before the heavy riot gear was broken out and maybe that wouldn't even be enough.

Within it all Silvac never felt so alone, the terrible weight of nothingness after life around his shoulders. He had glimpsed it so long ago it seemed under that torn roof that it felt like just a watered down version now. The chimerae broke into a trot beckoning his companion to come with him; the man sighed heavily and followed the chimerae. There was no turning back at this point and there never would be; the prison was in absolute chaos. There were gunshots rising over the sound along with screams of both rage and pain; it made a horrid chorus of sounds that neither man or beast would wish upon anyone. It was then that a sword was pressed through his companions body and it was then that Silvac felt the blood spatter against his back. The chimerae turned to see a crazed looking man who seemed to be giggling insanely holding a sword through his companion's chest. There was no light in the man's eyes and it was clear to silvac that death had almost been instant, that searing pain of absoultion raging through the air.... Silvac hated that feel but he loved it at the same time which made it so much harder to do what came next.

Instead of letting the crazy man withdraw the strange blade silvac kicked his companion's body into the man making him become separated from the sword. The man skittered to a stop and went for silvac's throat with a long wicked looking piece of metal. Silvac caught the man's hand and with a twist and jam broke the man's arm causing him to drop the piece of metal. Silvac didn't give him a moment to recover and kicked his body with his left leg while still holding onto his right arm. Breaking of both bone and flesh was heard as the man was physically separated from his arm and thrown back about twenty feet. The man didn't get back up as blood poured out of his now ragged arm hole. The chimerae turned to his companion and whirled backhanding a guard with the man's arm, this caused the guard to basically do a back flip and land in a heap. Pursing his lips silvac looked at the sword that the man had used. It was beyond words....

There were screaming faces upon each side and judging from how it seemed to slip through flesh without making much of a sound was incredibly sharp. Sighing gently the chimerae ignored the raging conflict and put his foot upon his companions shoulders. He placed a hand on the sword and stopped when his companion put a hand on his leg and looked up at the chimerae, he held up a picture and with the light now truely fading from his eyes... Died on the spot. Silvac took the picture and looked at it, it looked like some graveyard, where it was he couldn't tell. It had to be from somewhere else... He pocketed the picture and squatted next to his companion gently placing his hand on his shoulder while the sword was drawn out. The chimerae sniffed his body and sighed again; why was it that the ones that he thought would survive... didn't? He never would get an answer to this question he figured so he didn't bother dwelling on it.

The chimerae stood sword in hand, his ears twitch and he scowled as he heard and felt a few prisoners run past him. The chimerae turned about and was greeted by a phalanx of guard shields and batons. These batons didn't crackle with energy but instead seemed to be made out of solid stuff judging by how they were covered in red and had undoubtedly fell quite a few overly rowdy prisoners. They slowly marched forward, silvac looked at his new weapon and blinked slowly. If it could cut through flesh that easily it might be able to cut through whatever it was that the stuff that the shields were made out of. If not silvac would probably just end up throwing a whole bunch of guards like using an over sized baseball bat... There was no harm in trying at this point. The chimerae charged into the shield wall with his shoulder and sword low.... And swept the guards that he rammed into off of their feet. It appeared to have a larger amount of guards than it actually did when silvac broke three of their ranks and ended up against a door. His momentum didn't stop and he ended up smashing both door and guards. The sword didn't cut through the material as easy as silvac thought it would but it served it's purpose. Once he sharpened it it'd be much more deadly. Silvac took a moment and then turned about to look at what was left of the fray. Not much really considering all and all but he was still locked in here until someone got him out.

Re: Jailbreak - Night of the Triple S [Closed]

Post by Sal on Wed Nov 14, 2012 7:30 pm

Nodding, Sal wiggled a bit, clearly anxious. He was itching to find out if there was any truth to the rumors or if they were just exaggerated fantasies. "Well, Sec, I'm really hoping that it's not just a rumor. I think it' be pretty neat...we might just be able to snag us a new recruit, don't you think?" If there was truth to it, how did they manage to capture something that was, well, monster-like in appearance, and most likely not on par with the average human? That would likely remain a mystery for a long time - that was, if the rumors turned out to be true. He kept having to remind himself not to get his hopes up, but that was always difficult in situations like this. The scenery and atmosphere had changed, however, as they pulled up to their destination. It seemed there was a riot of sort taking place, and it just made things much, much more exciting.

There were bodies, weapons, and blood. Making a face of disgust, the young Ishvallan hopped out of the vehicle, his boots crunching in the snow. It wasn't a pleasant sight at all. There were shards scattered about from broken glass, wooden furnishings, and more, all adding to the chaotic landscape that was this Gelemortian jail house. The dark red flecks stood out against the pure white on the ground, and he felt his stomach turn slightly. Situations like these heavily influenced his decision to become a pirate. It was actually something that had a place in the promise made to him - that things would change. What he was seeing now, however, wasn't much better than what he had witnessed on occasion, and it made him glad that he had taken control of the operation, becoming Captain Salazar Masu. At least now he could make sure that they had a part in the changes that came about in the world, and this type of violence would have to be prevented. It was unnecessary and cruel, the two things that annoyed him the most about violence.

Glancing at Sec, it was apparent that he had noticed something through one of the windows. Curious, the chimera looked inside, only to be greeted by the sight of something not entirely different from what he had imagined. It had the appearance of a lizard, a sea creature (such as a shark or dolphin) and a man all in one. Rubbing his hands together for a moment, he thought about it. Was he really going to go into this now? What if the lizard man was just hostile? Would he attack them? Then again, it took more than just brute force to start a riot like this; Perhaps this beast-man of sorts was more intelligent and would listen to reason. Making his decision, the boy nodded, realizing that the noise had died down to a simple murmur, most likely from what few survivors were left. "Let's go in, then, and see what this is all about, First Mate."

Stepping up to the front door, he noticed that it was locked up tight. There were plenty of available options he could use to get the door open, but he felt it wouldn't be appropriate to cause any more destruction than had already been inflicted upon this place. A man with a blade stuck in his chest was leaning lifelessly against the wall nearby, and there was a ring of keys hanging from his wrist. Letting out a rather shaky sigh, Sal walked over and pulled the object off of him, checking the keys for any distinct visual differences. Moving back to the door, he began to try the keys one after the other until one finally worked, causing the door to unlock. He pushed it open, hand positioned so he could quickly reach any of the few sets of weapons he kept on him.

Once the opening was enough for him and Sec, the chimera stepped inside and looked up at the beast. Though they were vastly different in appearance, he couldn't help but think that their circumstances were likely very similar. After all, they were both quite unnatural beings, but at least Sal looked a bit more "normal" in terms of human characteristics. For Sal, it was only his ears and tail, but this...this man... looked like something out of a storybook. Doing his best to push that fact aside, he looked the stranger in the eyes, the smile on his face and his crooked eyebrows full of genuine concern. It was likely that Amestrian and Ishvallan wouldn't work, but he didn't know much of any other languages. Just enough to get by - the important words and phrases. It was worth an attempt, at least, so he defaulted to Cretan.

"...Hello... can you speak?"

Re: Jailbreak - Night of the Triple S [Closed]

Nodding as Sal spoke, Sec did, in fact, have to agree with him; a potential recruit, indeed, would be a blessing. "But of course, Captain; should this rumor prove true, and let us hope it shall, we may yet have a new shipmate." And following the same thought trail that one Mr. Masu was thinking, Sec did, indeed, wonder; how had they managed to capture and imprison such a man as was described? Of course, Gelemort DID have a rather talented military, with a wide variety of weapons at their disposal, as well as a highly skilled cavalry, but how, in fact, had they caught a man such as that, even with such supplies as their nonlethal laser-cannon (for lack of better wording...)?

As they neared the prison, he had, of course, noted the rioting on scene, which was when he exited the vehicle, a decision Sal chose to agree with, in his own dismounting the Audi. As he neared the door of the prison, he had already drawn his pistol and rapier. Blood and gore was scattered around, even outside, where a few incidents had occurred as prisoners escaped and continued to escape, around them. Sec was perfectly apathetic of the crimson-stained snow, however, as always. Sal, however, as Sec noted, scrunched his face up at the sight and stench, not at all one to enjoy such things. Indeed, the waste of human life was abundant here, and it brought to Sec's mind a faint feeling of mournful sorrow for those who had fallen to the snow in cold fate. Truth was cruel, however, a lesson Sec knew much too well, so he carried on, stepping over corpses and blood puddles as easily as he would step over the occasional jagged stone in his path, or a puddle of mud, on a rainy day.

It wasn't that he didn't care people had died there. He was used to it, was all. Having been raised essentially by the Cretan-Amestrian mafia, though they didn't quite associate with such a name, the blood was all too familiar; as a child, he hadn't known enough to feel any different about it, lacking the morals to care when strangers died, and as he grew, he wouldn't bat an eyelash at the idea of pointing a gun and pulling the trigger, and in fact, didn't blink as he fulfilled such ideas. It wasn't a happy childhood, but it had prepared him for the cold, cruel, harsh reality of life.

Staring in through the window, to get a closer look at the man, he noticed with a mild expression of surprise that the man was well... not much a man at all, rather, a beast. A nautical equivalent of the fairy-tale Beast, to be exact, from the "Beauty and the Beast." Noting in particular that the man was certainly powerful, appearance-wise, at least, he figured it was no doubt that he had started the chaos. In addition, he figured that the man had to be a skilled tactician, or at least, had to be smart enough to escape his cell before the guards were notified. Perhaps he could be dangerous, but it seemed a little unlikely; as soon as Gelemortian police could arrive, he would be overtaken by reinforcements, and therefore, Sec and Sal were likely his only escape.

As Sal approached, Sec nodded in response to his suggestion, and watched, with a bit of disdain himself, as Sal took a ring of keys from a dead man. While Sec could have done such a thing with no guilt or remorse, Sal was of a softer heart than he, and it did pain him a bit to see Sal put in that situation. No matter; what was done was done. The door unlocked and it opened, and the duo entered. Sec stepped in cautiously, behind Sal, absorbing everything in his field of vision; the heart of the chaos, the man was fending off guards alone, as prisoners escaped, shoving roughly past Sec and Sal as they realized yet another door had been reopened, apparently having been sealed off by guards, to keep people in the prison, or perhaps to keep the beast-man's affiliates from getting in, should he have any. THAT obviously, had failed, of course...

As Sec pondered these things, he saw a man come up behind the huge monster of a man, aiming a rifle squarely at his misshapen head. Sec, acting on instinct and practiced skill, brought up his pistol and with a soft crack, or at least, softer than that of most firearms as strong as his nine millimeter, fired a shot, turning the left-hand side of the guard into an exit wound, a small fountain of crimson spurting out of his head as he dropped, like a rag-doll, leaving the rifle on the ground. This, obviously, would have been quite sufficient to attract the chimera's attention... Ah well, all the better it did.

Hearing Sal shout at in Cretan to him moments later worked out well. Should the man be able to speak, it would seem kind of likely that he'd speak Cretan, as it was a little more common than Amestrian here, so Sec, with Sal, awaited a response from the large beast-man.

Sec knows the following languages, and will occasionally use them!
Cretan
Ishvallen
Xerxian
Amestrian
Rouenian (Gelemortian Dialect), and all of these languages are spoken with a posh Cretan accent.

PLEASE NOTE; Sec is THE tallest human male character on MDA! He is 7'5", or 7'11" with his platform shoes and fedora. Which is really tall! And stuff!
