Pissing Jack off

Post by Aaron H on Fri Nov 02, 2012 2:30 pm

"WELL DEAL WITH IT." Aaron screamed at his phone for no real reason. His emotional fervor came from what appeared to be nowhere. He'd argued with no one in particular on a dial tone. His friend was pissed at him. When had a situation escalate to such unbelievable circumstances? It started as a casual conversation and ended with Aaron shouting about something Jack had said. All friends fought, but Aaron's retorts were always on NONEXISTENT ears. His friend long since hung up two minutes ago and left the messy-haired man with a grouch of a frown. There was gone, his good mood and it seemed to call to him, the building called 'Starbucks'. Coffee made everything better. ALWAYS. Maybe it was an addiction. Aaron preferred to call it 'preference'. Unfortunately his mind wandered to his friend he'd been arguing with. Well he wanted to be a dick, Aaron could be too! So he walked in with intentions so cruel.

His order was quick, coffee with sugar and cream. The steaming cup was offered by the hands of a somewhat attractive woman that Aaron found no attachment to other than, 'she's not bad looking'. The flicker of his eyes found the brown of his colored irises to meet the color of creamy coffee. With a swift swipe, he gripped a straw and with an overzealous stab, he plunged his straw deep into the confides of a plastic cup. Then he took a long sip and smirked. TAKE THAT, JACK! HA. As if his friend could even see him deviously sucking up the mix in his cup anyways. It made him feel solemnly down for a moment. Why did people have to fight anyways?

It was a part of nature that Aaron couldn't fight, just like everything else. Oh well, at least he had his computer, that he hauled into the very store. He'd probably apologize later for his rude actions, though Jack would never know what he was talking about and the whole thing would be put in the past. ONWARD they would move. His brown eyes, stained by contacts were rolling to the windows, as he found a rather comfortable chair to park his rear in. One fun thing about the building was it's cushiony seats that felt almost like a home. They had a living room, a T.V. and a punch of other nerds like himself on the computer. Some ogling a particular pretty lady at a table by herself. He felt bad for her. It had to suck being stared at as if she were the coffee. Maybe he should help her somehow? Orrrr he could sit and play on his computer. Tough choice. Sit and play around with youtube or make someone's day easier. Damn his conscious. With a grunt and a stretch, Aaron made his way over and sidled in a seat across from her with the dumbest of grins. Of course he didn't realize how weird or creepy he looked. "Hey." The most intelligent of phrases befell his lips.

"WELL DEAL WITH IT." A sudden spray of Amestrian greeted her ears which caused the dark haired woman to peer up over her book towards the source of the sound. It was a man who appeared to be on the phone with someone, and it was this realization that caused her to sigh lightly and return to reading her delightful Portrait of Dorian Gray. It had been a while since she'd read the novel, and it was high time that she remind herself of the gothic Victorian characters. However she couldn't really enjoy her book as she sat there in Starbucks considering there was a gaggle of men that had perched themselves quite nearby.

Now that she had actually looked up from her book, she reached to pick up her paper cup only to find that it was empty. "Blast." She muttered under her breath as her fingers slid the patterned bookmark between the pages before pushing herself up, the chair squeaking softly as it slid against the floor. "Ah, miss-" She turned slightly to face the blonde man that stepped up to her with a bright smile, his accent picking him out as a man from Liverpool. "I can't help but notice you are reading Dorian Gray." She smiled sweetly to him, "Yes, its a favorite of mine." He smile now as he thought that things were beginning to go well, ignoring the glares from the other men at his boldness. "Me too! Are you out of coffee? Would you like-" He was cut off as she held up a single hand, closing her eyes for a moment as her head tilted downwards. She knew exactly what it was that these men wanted. "I appreciate the offer, but no thank you. I wish to only read in peace and quiet. I'm not interested. Have a nice day." She spoke with perfect poise, and eloquence. The man didn't frankly know how to respond.

So she went towards the counter and ordered herself another caramel macchiato with a light sigh, the drink coming quickly for her as she smiled and nodded familiarly with the barista. She came to this particular Starbucks quite often as it were, and so she was rather familiar with the staff. Returning to her seat, she noticed that the gaggle of men had changed in its landscape a bit man trading out for another man with a bright and hopeful expression. It was a little sad how hopeful they were. She was a taken woman, and even that thought made her flush with color. Yes... she was taken, wasn't she? Apos was off somewhere today, who knew where, but it was just as well. She was looking for some alone time as she waited for further orders from her superiors. So here she sat with her Dorian Gray, sipping at her drink in a semi-crowded Starbucks. She had been reading for another few moments when a simple phrase reached her ears, "Hey." The voice surprised her for she hadn't even noticed his approach as a man now sat across from her at her table.

Blinking twice, those blue eyes of hers rested upon the man with a soft smile. "Hello, can I help you?" She asked him, brushing two locks of hair aside. Her hair was pulled back into a long (and I mean LONG) ponytail, two strands hanging in front of her ears on either side of her pale face. She wasn't in her military fatigues today. No, in fact she was wearing long black pants with slightly heeled boots, a dark blue turtleneck and black fingerless gloves to hide her alchemy tattoos for the most part. She couldn't hide the rings of circles about the first section of her fingers, but those weren't a bit deal to be honest.

"Hello, can I help you?" Aaron grinned in the moment, feeling a surge of desire pool into his body. He wasn't going to really- "No, but I believe I can help you." Of course he was a nerd enough to quote a line from one of his favorite movies. his body leaned in and an oblivious smile sat on his face. No, it wasn't terrible flirting. Aaron was NOT trying to hit on the girl, but it sure as Hell probably looked like it. He had no notice of this and instead swirled his coffee cup, before pressing the straw to his lips. He was PROUD of himself for his geeky reference. It was a flicker of realization that Aaron really had no life, but it didn't stop him from grinning. The brown-haired man, just closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Oh, right. He was bothering the woman. Aaron proceeded to CONTINUE making an idiot out of himself. The kind of idiot that Jack never wanted to be around. SPITE THE MAN WHO WASN'T THERE.

"I couldn't help but catch how you were looking at the room. The eyes that never stopped staring at these men..." Aaron paused, looking thoughtful a moment. "Mainly in detest." His finger tapped his lip and he simply laughed. "On a more serious note, I'm just here to be a wall." His shoulders shrugged up then slumped down. Was he really so bored he reduced himself to being a barrier for a woman he didn't know? Was it gentlemanly? Aaron wasn't even sure to be honest. His teeth bit and pulled at the straw, letting the plastic cut on his teeth. Okay, so it was just something to keep him occupied, he could do that. "You can act like I'm not even here. I promise not to stare at your cleavage like other men." His smile was one similar to a fox.

Hm.. even when the words left his lips, Aaron realized how dumb his statement had sounded. Well, it was said. No way to take it back now. Optimal response to reduce painful.. er.. pain? Pretend he never said it. Coming back down to earth, Aaron heaved a soft sigh and blew some of the bangs out of his face at the same time. "So..!" The words had been formed of eloquence, then were babbled out through chaotic nonsense. "I got nothing." As if he had something to say in the first place. He hadn't really needed to talk to the woman and he didn't really think she'd stick around through his terrible conversation skills anyways. It didn't matter, it got his mind off of his best friend who HATED him at he moment. Even if it wasn't a fact, Aaron hated fighting and found that afterwards he was a useless man.

Vivian blinked as she stared at the youth before her, noticing out of the peripheral of her eyes the rage and indignation of the other boys. "No, but I believe I can help you." Eh? She couldn't help but blink at that, her blue eyes widening ever so slightly. W-What was he on about? "Help me with--" "I couldn't help but catch how you were looking at the room. The eyes that never stopped staring at these men...Mainly in detest." Oh! So he had noticed that then. She had to admit, she inwardly breathed a sigh of relief, a smile rising to her features as he sat there and laughed. "On a more serious note, I'm just here to be a wall." Well wasn't that sweet of him? Nobody ever offered to do such things before, at least those that were total strangers like this man. Julian and Tristan had done it before, but they were the brothers closest to her in age. The twins were still a little bit too young, though they certainly would have tried anyways.

"You can act like I'm not even here. I promise not to stare at your cleavage like other men." Now she had to laugh, a light sound that filled their little corner in the coffee shop. "So..!" She sipped at her coffee as the laughter subsided into silence, only to be replaced by his words of finality. "I got nothing." Her paper cup softly touched the tables surface. "Well, I appreciate your help. But we don't have to sit in silence either. My name is Vivian Duchamp, whats your name?" She offered her hand to him, a sweet little smile replacing the simple one from before.
