Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac on Tue Nov 13, 2012 2:32 am

Silvac watched peytons reaction, it wasn't what he expected in fact it was completely opposite in fact. He watched her flick through the book that probrably was a translation book, the same that they had pulled from the library. He didn't really know where they had kept it in the travel over but he didn't much care since there was more pressing issues at hand than that. He shifted a bit uncomfortably peyton taking a little longer than he expected her to. Then again this time she had to translate what he said and then translate a response so of course it would take longer. His eyes watered softly as he heard the only word that absoutely without a doubt diffused any situation that was presented to silvac. Instead of taking the hand that peyton offered he instead gave her a hug. It wasn't the same as the bear hug as before, it was much more gently and silvac was instead of being afraid for his life was indeed crying. The tears washed down the side of his eyes and trailed down his chest unchecked. his body quaked during the hug and he didn't let go. Out of everyone he had met peyton was the only one who litterlly said this word so blantently.

The chimerae let go of peyton and sat down on the couch his tears still flowing from his eyes. He attempted to wipe these tears away but it didn't work. He simply just sat there after a moment staring at peyton; he didn't know what to do now at all. For one chimerae's didn't have friends they had companions.....

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Peyton on Tue Nov 13, 2012 3:17 am

Peyton grunted as she was suddenly embraced by strong arms. They were crushing her a bit and depriving her of sweet, sweet oxygen. As she looked up and opened her mouth to say something, she noticed his watery eyes. Was he... crying? Yes, he was definitely crying. Tears were running down his face as he quivered in the embrace. They stayed like that for awhile and Peyton forgot all about her crushed lungs.

When he finally let go and sat on the couch, she was reminded all about her lungs and quickly took in air. Her chest was sore now, but that didn't matter. She was trying to figure out how to make him stop crying. She hesitantly sat by him, and patted his back. "It's okay," She mumbled. She continued patting his back, attempting to console him.

"No need to cry there..."

She then reached over and gave him a hug, although it was awkward because her arms weren't long enough to fit around his big build. It would have to do though. Poor thing..

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac on Tue Nov 13, 2012 3:33 am

Silvac sniffed a bit as the tears continued to stream down his cheeks, the surprise of hearing that word still rather high. He shivered a little bit at the feeling of the wetness trailing down his chest. He wiped them away with his right hand, this time it helped a little but not exactly stopped all of them from flowing. Silvac heard her talk and then pat his back, he would of said something back but then he heard her talk again. He turned his head to see that she was hugging him back. He sniffed gently and then with his left arm scooped her up and sat her on his lap allowing for an easier hug for the both of them. The chimerae wrapped his tail around the both of them protectively while his tears slowly started to stop flowing. The chimerae hugged peyton to his chest, this time he tried to let her breathe since before he was pretty sure he had hugged her far too tightly. It wasn't a surprise considering that she was a tad smaller than he was and probably wasn't as used to pressure like that. Be honest if the situation was shifted he was pretty sure he'd be the same way.

The chimerae looked at peyton and gently slid his tongue across the side of her face and through her hair getting her scent into his reservoir of memory. There was that strange scent associated with alchemy then there was a personal scent, he liked how she smelled. Reminded him a bit of simpler times for him for some reason but he couldn't really say that was a bad thing. He gently rested his head against hers his eyes closing a bit. The scent reminded him of lavender; it was one of the flowers that he recalled was near his cretan library back home. The chimerae sighed contently and gently leaned back with Peyton so that his back was against the couch a little more securely.

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Peyton on Tue Nov 13, 2012 3:45 am

She cringed and felt mildly disgusted as his long tongue whipped across her face and hair. She suppressed the urge to flat out say "ewww" as she felt the slimy muscle leave her hair.

She sighed as she felt the chimera hug her closer and place his strange head ontop of hers. It was strange really. By saying one word, she had completely gained his trust and affection. It also seemed like she wouldn't be getting out of this hug any time soon. There goes her plan for making dinner. Then again, after all that had happened, she really had no appetite left. His embrace, although it was a bit of a frightening one, felt warm and safe though.

She felt as if nothing could harm her. Soon, exhaustion started to take its toll on her body as she started to doze off in his arms. Before sleep claimed her, she wondered what he was like before becoming a chimera. Was he nice? What did he do for a living? Did he have family? All of these questions would remain unanswered for now though.

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac on Tue Nov 13, 2012 3:55 am

Silvac felt peyton flinch from feeling his tongue, he didn't blame her apparently according to valdis it felt weird. But then again weird to her was anyone that didn't like pudding and wasn't lohkyn... or something like that. He gently rubbed his head against the top of hers in a mock sort of nuzzle before he heard her start to breathe easier. It was a sign of sleep, it was light but it was slowly oncoming. He felt his stomach rumble a bit and he suppressed the feeling completely. When he did this he felt a wave of exhaustion slam into him and cause him to forget where he was for a second. The chimerae blinked and glanced down at the now sleeping woman in his arms. He smiled softly and brushed her hair out of her face taking in her features before slowly laying her down onto her side so that she was in front of silvac whom was now laying down as well. His left arm was ontop of her gently while the right one served as a sort of pillow for some of her body. He glanced about for the blanket and noted that it was somewhat resting on the floor. Using his tail he pulled it off the floor and draped it over the both of them making sure that it was comfortably spread over the both of them. The last thing he remembered seeing was the top of peytons head....

It wasn't long before silvac started to space out and it was very quickly that sleep claimed him after that. The dream phase was completely void and he could just feel the weightlessness of the world around him as if it didn't exist. If she had questions when they awoke he'd do his best to answer her, she deserved that much for dealing with him. His mind eventually lost reality to the dream world and bliss took over making his life so much simpler as he could feel the text of the past gently worm it's way into his being....

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Peyton on Tue Nov 13, 2012 4:14 am

That morning the sun shown through the blinds as a radiant light. The birds in the nearby trees chirped their songs. This was a tell tale sign of morning. Peyton grumbled a bit as she started to wake. She loathed those damned birds, waking her from her slumber. It probably wasn't even twelve yet. Damn, so early to wake up on her day off. She shifted a bit, trying to get more comfortable. Her pillow was on something hard. No, her pillow WAS something hard.

She sighed and pulled the blanket over her body a bit more. Something was on top of her too. She opened an eye, and nearly jumped at the sight. A long scaly arm was draped over her body. That's when she recalled last night. Damn, that day was so exciting even SHE didn't believe it. She sighed and got back into a comfy position, wanting to sleep a bit more before starting another long day. She knew it was going to suck.

But, it was kind of sweet how her little chimera friend had cuddled up to her. Yeah, he wasn't as bad as he seemed at first. He was pretty cool in her book. Most people weren't this comfortable around someone like her, y'know being an amputee and all. Then again he wasn't most people.

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac on Tue Nov 13, 2012 4:22 am

Silvac was in dreamland for a few more hours before the natural cycle of sleep took over and set him into a deeper non dream sleep. This lasted a quite lengthy amount of time, it skipped over a few loud noises during the night but when he felt something shift against him the chimerae groggily opened his eyes to seeing peyton shifting in front of him. He blinked a few times and wondered what was going on exactly. He shivered a bit and let out a long morning yawn. The chimerae gently shifted his arm so that it was a bit more comfortable for both it's owner and for peyton, which meant it was somewhat laying over her and somewhat draping downwards allowing for a semi hug. The chimerae's tail slipped under the covers now and decided to lay in front of peyton allowing for it to be hugged or whatever if peyton so wished it. The chimerae didn't really feel like getting up, in fact this couch was probably the most comfortable bedding he had slept on for the last few years. The chimerae nosed the couch gently and then replaced his head so that it was "above" peyton's so he didn't disturb her.

He felt sleep want to take hold again but it refused to come so he merely just waited for peyton to either want to get up or pass out again. Regardless of what one she chose he'd follow suit since he didn't mind what all had become of this. A small part of him wondered if he could fall asleep like this again....

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Peyton on Tue Nov 13, 2012 7:43 pm

Eventually what woke Peyton up was her hunger. She'd missed lunch and dinner the other day, so her stomach was grumbling and had a sharp pain from the hunger. She slowly rolled off the couch and stood. Peyton then glanced down at the chimera who had cuddled with her all night. He looked pretty content at the moment and more relaxed then he was yesterday. She decided she'd just let him chill there while she made food; he was probably hungrier then her.

She walked to the table she had left the translation dictionary on and began flipping through it. This book had really come in handy, she didn't know what on Earth she'd do without it right now. Peyton would have to make sure not to lose it as it was their only means of communication.

After she found the words she wanted and wrote them down, she turned to her new chimera friend and said,"What food you eat?"

Her sentences still probably sucked, she'd have to find someone fluent in both Amestrian and Cretan to help her with that. She was a fast learner though, so maybe she'd catch on on her own. Hey, she'd gotten this far with no help.

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac on Wed Nov 14, 2012 12:16 am

Silvac blinked a few times when peyton rolled off of the couch and out of his grasp; it felt cold for some reason but he realized that he was hungry and judging from hearing her stomach grumble she was too. The chimerae slowly sat up and stared around the place for a moment before gently standing up and going back to where he had dropped his sword on the ground. He wasn't about to just let his sword sit there and be a danger to anyone that didn't know or notice it. The chimerae propped it up against the couch and did the same with the other one as well since the both of them were about the same weight. It was always a good work out in the mornings when he swung those around but he couldn't do that here because of the lack of space. That was fine though he didn't really care considering he was more than able to compensate with how strong he was. The chimerae sat back down and started to fold the blanket up so that it was not all over the place. His mind started to wander just before Peyton asked what he ate. Huh he really never thought about it before come to think of it. Giving a bit of shrug he held his hands out and made a little gesture while he spoke back to her. His throat felt like it was raw but there was no bucking from it this time around, the rest must of been what he sorely needed.

Anything but pizza.

Silvac nodded to himself at this before staring off into space for a few moments.... He then stood up and gently walked over to the window his ears twitching as the birds chirped. He hadn't heard them chirp in a long time because usually they sensed he was a predator even more so than the humans that seemed to rule the land. The chimerae let out a soft sigh and just as gently as before walked over to where the couch was. He let out a bit of a snort at the thought before sitting down; for now at least he was content at being here but as always the wanderlust seemed to take a hold of him eventually. The chimerae stared at peyton before gently poking her nose with his own.

The better question is what do you want to eat?

"We really gotta figure out this language thing..." She muttered. Flipping through that dictionary was getting pretty annoying.

She shrugged and started pulling different things out of the fridge, one by one. She really wasn't sure how to feed the chimera. He certainly looked like a meat eater though. She found some raw bacon and pulled that out, pointing to it and then the stove. Peyton was trying to gesture that she could make bacon if he could eat it. She held up a thumbs up, and then a thumbs down. She really hoped he was intelligent enough to catch on. He probably was though, since they had made it this far without incident.

"Bacon," She told him as she set down the raw meat.

She smiled at him, just as a bit of reassurance. She felt pretty silly, but didn't really care. For some reason, she didn't feel anxious around the chimera. Funny, they had only met yesterday and not under the most favorable circumstances, and now they were good friends who even cuddled. Almost silly if you think about it.

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac on Wed Nov 14, 2012 1:16 am

Silvac twitched his ears as he heard peyton speak again in the language that she called her own, he wasn't sure what it was really because it sounded strikingly like several others that he had heard before. Giving a bit of a shrug he watched her pull things out of the fridge but she stopped when she pulled out a slab of something. It smelled fairly like meat and he wasn't exactly sure what it was. Silvac sniffed it and shrugged a bit, he picked up whatever this slab was and without much thought broke it in half. He placed one half down back where peyton had placed it orriginally and the other half was already bitten on. He made a thoughtful face before gulping down the rest of his half of whatever this meat was that the female had handed him. He noted that she had done the thumbs up or thumbs down sign which was amazingly universal. The chimerae did a double thumbs up gesture before hugging peyton rather gently a smile plain and obvious on his face. The chimerae released the hug after a short moment before glancing about the kitchen he leaned against the counter staring silently off into space.

If he really wanted he could easily get food for the both of them, being a chimerae was like being a super villain sometimes. You didn't care about rules or regulations you just took what you needed and left everything in the dust when you needed to move on. So far silvac had kept to that rule of living save when it came to people he met and made a huge impression on. Peyton was definitely one of those people. He slowly walked over to the couch and sat down again his thoughts racing for a moment. He picked up the remote and turned on the television to a scene he rather well recognized. Peyton must of left the tv on the news channel or something because he saw the prison he had escaped from a few months back pop onto the tv and then show several portraits of different people. One of the people it showed was the man that was in the same cell that he was in.

The chimerae dropped the remote as footage from the prison started to play and he saw a very familiar corridor. The chimerae saw himself come around a corner, the words that the news reporter was saying dead to his ears. He saw himself break the lines of the men just before the scene cut out. The man came back onto view and more of the words he couldn't understand them. It was whatever language that peyton spoke or maybe something that was damned near close to it. The chimerae shivered gently and stared at the floor his eyes going blank. He hadn't tried to kill all the men that were against him, he knew they had lives and such but he was forced to flee otherwise he would of been killed....

Anyone would take life over death......

"He sure is a hugger," She noted to herself in her head as she was embraced.

After the hug was broken she watched the chimera walk off to do other things. She placed the left over bacon in the fridge and dug around a bit more. She found some leftovers she could probably heat up. Maybe make some toast. She walked into her room and got dressed first though, since she was in pink pajamas with sheep on them. Her automail foot clanged against the floor as she walked. She padded into her bedroom, changed into a warm sweater and pants along with some shoes, and walked back out.

As she passed the window, she froze. She heard the screech of police sirens. Right outside her building. She looked down, and saw a few police cars pulling up and parking outside. They were now in some deep shit.
Peyton darted over to the chimera and shook his shoulder, pointing to the window in a panicked frenzy. They needed to leave, now. She grabbed his clothing that were now dry and handed them to him. "Go go hurry! We gotta go!"

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac on Wed Nov 14, 2012 1:56 am

Silvac twitched his ears numbly as sirens touched his ears and a rather panicked Peyton sounded off in the distance. If it was on tv he was so screwed, there would be an endless amount of chases and he might even have a bounty on his head. The chimerae stood slowly his hands clenching fiercely, without much thought he put on his now dry clothing the softness bringing his feelings back into check. The chimerae slung both swords over his back and turned to Peyton his eyes rather hollow but deeper they showed a sadness that knew no bounds. The chimerae cracked his neck and looked out the window noting the amount of police cars increased dramatically within a few moments. The chimerae glanced out another window that faced the other buildings and felt a smile crack his lips. It wasn't a predatory smile or anything of the like but it was certainly scary enough to register that he had an idea from the outside. The chimerae picked up Peyton and glanced out the window again, he huffed softly and nose bumped Peyton again making a rather silly looking face when he did so. He took a deep breath and stared at the window before speaking to Peyton his smile disappearing as a tone of seriousness set in.

Hold on.

Silvac almost immediately took off running to the window his bulk slamming into it's surprisingly weak material and causing it to explode outward in a rather awesome way. The chimerae sailed about five or six feet before losing some height. He gripped peyton tightly as they slowly descended and landed on the fire escape ont he building across from them. He heard shouting and noted that there were quite a few police officers pointing weapons at them. Without pause the chimerae started to sprint up the fire escape while the police officers dictated a warning once more before starting to pull the trigger. Apparently the fact that the chimerae was carrying something didn't register caution. The chimerae turned suddenly and several bullets pinged off of his left arm and some off of his swords. The chimerae let out a grunt as one bullet grazed his horn but left him mostly undamaged. Silvac were now on the top of the building when the helicopter made it's appearance a loud warning sound making itself heard along with what seemed to be an armed man in said helicopter....

Peyton had to hold in a scream as they burst through the window and sailed across the air. She finally let out a few screeches as she heard gunshots and bullets flying about. She curled herself up against the chimera, trying to avoid being shot. Peyton clung to him tightly as he ran away to higher ground.

"Oh shit, oh shit we're gonna die!" She mumbled to herself in a panicky way.

She heard a loud whooshing noise in the air, wind blew all around them. Her hair was tossed to and fro, almost making her hair look like flames. She squinted and looked over, seeing a large helicopter ascending near them. This was definitely not a good sign. Her grip on the chimera tightened. They needed to get away, and fast. But how? They were surrounded...

Then, she saw it. An opening. There was a vehicle below them on the street. She tugged his shirt and motioned at it. This would be their getaway.

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Silvac stared the helicopter dead in the face, the pilot wavering a bit but the man that was sitting on the side waving frantically for him to come about. The helicopter turned as though in slow motion, the wind cycles blasting Silvac's hood down and showing his appearance. His hair whipped backwards wildly but that wasn't what caused both the pilot to start to swerve. Silvac had ignored the gesture from Peyton to go after the car, instead he jumped forward and then literally vaulted up to the low flying helicopter his face absolutely void of anything. The chimerae landed next to the man with some kind of rifle, with a quick spin and a bite of the bungee cord that was keeping him attached to the helicopter the man let out a bit of a scream as he fell about ten feet and landed hard on the ground. Silvac set Peyton down in one of the seats in the back before sliding the armored doors shut making it a lot more quiet in the helicopter. The pilot's panicked breathing was the only noise that seemed to be present. The chimerae placed his hand on top of the pilots head and stared out the window, he didn't make a move for about a full minute before speaking quietly.

Fly or die.

At this Silvac punched through the copilots seat which was vacant, the sound of metal and fibers being hit as though by a truck made a short debut before the chimerae sat down next to Peyton his thoughts rather gruesome. He glanced at the pilot who was banking the helicopter now, he seemed to be less frantic which was probably a good thing. The Chimerae didn't speak again during the flight he simply stared at the floor his eyes seemingly void of emotion. Within he was a turmoil of thought and possibilities not sure what route to take. He had to consider the safety of his companion which frankly took priority over a lot of things. He shifted his weight a bit and then glanced up at the pilot who was looking back as though for directions. Silvac put his hand on Peyton's shoulder and nodded to the pilot.

She kept her eyes on him the entire time, wondering what he'd do next. When he lept forward, she knew he had ignored her and was going straight for that helicopter. Would they make it? What would they do once inside? These questions were answered rather quickly when a man with a rifle was thrown out of the helicopter and her chimera friend grabbed the head of the pilot. He said something but she couldn't hear it nor understand it. The helicopter was moving though, so that meant that this would be their form of transportation.

She flinched when he punched through the seat. His amount of strength was pretty intimidating. It was almost unfitting of his gentle nature when everything was calm and he wasn't in danger. Peyton watched as he sat down and looked at him. He seemed to be in deep thought. Peyton looked down at her own feet, wondering what they should do next. Where could they go? She felt his clawed hand gently touch her bony shoulder and she glanced over at the chimera. He nodded in a confident manner at the pilot.

"What are we going to do?" She asked quietly.

Re: A Heated Pursuit

Silvac shuddered when he heard a bullet ping against the armored chasis of the helicopter; he glanced at peyton for a moment and then looked to the pilot a decision forming in his mind already. The chimerae sighed gently and stood the pilot asking silvac what they were going to do now. The chiemerae glanced at the pilot then back at peyton a soft smile breaking his lips. He patted the top of her head for a moment and then went to the door opposite to where the gunfire was coming from. He slowly slid open the door and then turned his head to the pilot screaming in a voice no longer marred by pain or slowed by his thoughts. The look on the face of the pilot was that of surprise and rather disgruntled; instead of giving the chimerae any affirmation the pilot looked front a small frown on his face. Silvac looked back at peyton one last time... And from about ten feet from the roof top of their current travel jumped out of the helicopter. Silvac dropped like a rock but didn't panic, his demeanor was that of a dead mans as he drew both swords their weight reassuring even in free fall.

The chimerae started to spin and just as he was going for the third time his sword struck the roof and stopped both downward momentum and instead launched silvac forward and over the edge of the roof. He didn't let his sword displant for the entire way down slowing his decent as bullets whizzed around his body a few pinging into his arm and a couple punching his legs along with his chest. He brushed these off as he landed squarely on top of a police cruiser causing it's hood to completely dent in making quite a ruckus of those within. The chimerae swept his swords apart and let out a bloodthirsty roar causing those nearest him to panic and turn tail. Instead of charging like he was known for the chimerae leaped over the entire crowd of firing police officers taking about two more shots before landing rather nicely on the sidewalk. He started sprinting down the alley blood leaving a trail behind him.

A police cruiser slammed into the wall in front of him and instead of stopping silvac vaulted over it swiping his swords through the hood and nailing both of the occupants within. He heard their surprised yelps of pain as he landed on the other side and took off like a bullet down the rest of the alley. He had to get away from them but he had to keep their mind off of the woman in the chopper. He stopped and turned about raising his sword in challenge to those behind him. He was rewarded with more gunshots but they went far too wild to strike the bloodied chimerae. The smell was starting to get to him but only one thing made it easy to remember what he had to do. The chimerae locked Godsend into his mechanical arm and kept insanity gripped in his hand. He felt the control slowly start to wittle away as he struck the first man that brandished a long baton with a sparking end. It was the third and fourth that silvac slowly felt his body go numb... he could feel his mind disconnect and the rage set in.

The police officers continued to fire at the raging chimerae but their panic did them little good as most shots went wild but a few lucky hit the already blood raging chimerae. This only served to send him into a further frenzy. It would be almost a full two days of fighting before the chimerae came out of his rage. He was within a warehouse surrounded by the dead or dying. He let out a haggard breath as he noted that he had quite a few bullet wounds in him. He placed a hand on one of them and winced, maybe guns were something to worry about? Alone they seemed weak but multiple ones seemed to have quite the detrimental effect....

The chimerae limped out of the warehouse to find that there was no one around, he was in a dock area and it was completely deserted. He wondered how he had gotten there as he slowly worked his way into the sewers to try to lick his wounds and possibly find medical help. It'd be difficult but since he was part of the pirates there may be a resource he could use within this city to treat his multiple wounds....
