      DESCRIPTION:
→ Doresu Ayako tries quite hard to be as ordinary and unassuming as possible, and she's got a knack for looking the part. Not exactly tall, but not really short either. She's not got particularly dark hair, nor is it fair. She is neither fat or thin. Her skin is not dark or pale. In fact, she isn't really 'anything'. Despite being remarkably athletic, she often hides it under her traditional Aerugese clothing. Her actual build is somewhat like a pear, with large, curvaceous hips and legs but a small bust and thin arms. She tends to not style her brown hair, only ever bothering to cut it. She dresses in very traditional Aerugese dress for her work, and kimonos for special occasions, but is more than likely to be found wearing casual clothing. She walks and talks quite airily, with a high pitched, gentle whisper to her tone and a smooth grace to her gait.

However, when she is her alter-ego "The Kunoichi Cloth", the ordinary, the quiet and the gentle goes right out of the window. The principle of kunoichi is to distract an opponent, and The Kunoichu Cloth is almost impossible to ignore. She wraps a colossal red face mask around her head, which links into her "Kibarashi furiko", or distracting pendulums, four massive red weights that she uses as weaponry, supports, balances and distractions. Outside of this mask and her weights, though, The Cloth wears extremely little, ironically. Proud of her sexy and strong figure, and using her body to its maximum potential, she wears only a red jacket that leaves her belly exposed and is secured together with netting, a pair of red and brown shorts, big boots and armbands. In addition, The Cloth moves and even talks very differently to Ayako. She never walks, preferring to jump from place to place with outstanding precision and complexity in her motions, and she shouts rather than speaks. She's as extravagant and bizarre as Ayako is ordinary and unassuming.

       PERSONALITY:
→ Doresu Ayako is a tough nut to crack. Not because she's particularly deep or smart, but mostly because if you try to analyse and press her, chances are she's not listening.

Ayako's very easily distracted and inattentive. In fact, it wouldn't be inaccurate to call her straight up dopey. Her heart's in the right place but her head never is, always in the clouds and on strange logic trains that lead to nowhere. Unless she's absolutely focused on a task, such as using alchemy to make clothes, she'll hop from thought to thought, curious as she is blisteringly distracted. Additionally, she's perpetually tired. She's also very compulsive, the kind of person who rearranges her shelves every day for the sake of it. This isn't to say that she can't focus; in fact, once she puts her mind to something, she will never change it. Her stubbornness is legendary, never changing her mind on any subject. She doesn't quite know what she wants in life, but she does want it right now. For all of this, she's certainly kind and loyal, sticking to her friends through thick and thin, and she's quick to make new ones. Though she tends to stick to Kyoto, she travels with her craft often, and she attempts to befriend everyone and everything.

Or it looks that way.

The airheaded friendliness is pretty much an act. When night falls, Doresu Ayako becomes The Kunoichi Cloth, one of the deadliest street fighters in all of Kyoto, if not the world. She's dogged, determined and dangerous, giving criminals every reason to fear her. Her tactics are somewhat blunt and bullish. In fact, she's pretty stupid, preferring to simply charge in and overpower an opponent with brute force and agile acrobatics than any kind of forward thinking or tactical approach, but she gets the job done. She's fearless to a fault, not batting an eyelid to the most incredible odds, but it plays to her stubborn nature. If she's losing, she'll carry on fighting even when it's obvious she should flee, but she's not been in that position often enough to learn that lesson. Though eager to save others, her main motivation is mostly selfish; practising her multiple martial arts and hunting ninjas are the reasons The Kunoichi Cloth roams the rooftops, not that she is unkind. She is a force to be feared, a world away from the dopey but stubborn tailor Doresu Ayako.

       LOVE:
Rearranging her shelves twice a day, rearranging her furniture twice a month, martial arts and fighting, making clothes, chocolate, teddy bears, fancy clothes, cold showers, belly dancing, the colour purple, Bruce Lee films and sappy romance films

       HATE:
Ninjas, ripping clothes, the way her shelves are ordered, the way she's put her furniture, public transport and strawberries (She's got bad allergies)

       DEEPEST SECRET:
→ Her identity as The Kunoichi Cloth

       IDOL:
       → Bruce Lee

       ...........................................................................

       HISTORY:
→ What would motivate a woman to train herself in multiple martial arts, dress up in ridiculous outfits and beat people up with large weights? Was her father murdered by a corrupt businessman? Did a scientific experiment to create the ultimate warrior send her insane? Is she Batman?

The answer is a little odder than all of those.

The small estate that Doresu Ayako grew up in was secluded by nature; despite not being a far walk away from Kyoto, due to the shape of the land it would take almost an hour by road to get there, so it was regarded as a little secluded forest village stooped in tradition. Ancient buildings filled with people wearing ancient clothes. Any time a film required a feudal Aerugo setting, Ayako's home village was often the place to film. Ayako was a happy little girl, if incredibly stubborn. She was a nice enough girl, but once she put her mind to something, nothing nor no one could dissuade her. However, her favourite thing in the world was a teddy bear that she owned. She carried it just about everywhere. It was a pretty quaint teddy bear, small and brown, but she loved it.

Ayako went to school in the city of Kyoto itself, able to get there by bike from the age of five, albeit with her mother escorting her. One of the days that she went to school, a little boy her age stole the bear while she was gone; he didn't like her that much for reasons she didn't really know. When she got home, she was furious and demanded to have her teddy back. The problem was that the boy's grandfather was the village elder, and he'd never seen her with the bear before. Assuming that Ayako was just jealous of his grandson, he dismissed her. Ayako's mother worked for the grandfather, and didn't want to upset her boss, so she ignored Ayako as well.

This is the point of the story were Ayako's stubbornness stops being stubbornness and became a full-fledged mental disorder. She decided that, if no one was going to get her bear back, she'd have to get it back herself. With that in mind, she vanished into the forest leading to the mountains, and wasn't found for three days.

Where she had gone was to a monastery. It took a day to climb the mountain and get to it, but she got there and, for the day, simply watched the monks practise their martial arts. For a whole day, she did nothing but hide from the monks and observe. She'd watch their movements, what they were doing and why, how their forms danced and fought with each other, how they practised the ancient arts of self defence. After the day was done, she went back home. Her mother was relieved and horrified, demanding that Ayako never scare her like that again.

It happened again the very next week. And the next. And the next.

Soon, it became routine and boring. Every weekend, Ayako would disappear into the mountains, watch the monks for the day, and come home. Ayako's parents started off concerned, but every attempt to follow her failed, before finally they gave up. She was never hurt except for the odd bruise every few weeks where she had tripped up. It became something they didn't really question at all. That is until, about six months after this bizarre pattern, a monk turned up on their doorstep and asked if the young girl would like to learn martial arts. The parents were baffled by this incredibly strange offer from seemingly out of nowhere, but soon something was arranged. Ayako would spend an entire week at the monastery doing nothing but training, and then would not return for the next week. It seemed like a fair deal.

It turned out, though, that Ayako was born to fight. Her body quickly became a deadly machine fuelled by indignant rage over the theft of her beloved teddy bear. After a year of formal training, she was almost to the same level as the monks who taught her. She never said why she enjoyed fighting so much, or why she even wanted to, but she was only getting increasingly deadly by the day. Things only escalated when the boy who had stolen the bear moved away, and she decided to confront his grandfather before she left. The two fought, the grandfather for some reason taking this preposterous situation as seriously as she did, and despite the year of training Ayako's inferior size, strength and speed meant an easy win for the grandfather. As he left, Ayako swore revenge against him and his grandson, promising that she would get her teddy bear back. The old man only dared her to, before disappearing out of her life.

As the years passed on, things went back into a regular pattern. Ayako trained, and trained, and trained, her rampaging passion for revenge making her only stronger and stronger, until she was well beyond the level for the monks. When they had no more martial arts to teach her, they decided to teach her something different; alchemy. Hoping to curb her anger and impulsive stubbornness with something that would require patience and concentration, the monks taught Ayako the principles and the art of alchemy, telling her what circles were and what alchemists were meant to do. They didn't think she was capable of alchemy, but it at least calmed her down. The young girl was diligent with her study, but she assumed that she too wouldn't be able to wrap her head around it or even have much use for it. That was until her mother accidentally ripped her wedding dress. With her mother distraught, Ayako made it her duty to repair it with alchemy. Taking everything she learnt, she practised as doggedly as she had her martial arts. It took a long time, and an awful lot of messing up, before, finally, she fixed the dress. With that, she found a whole new passion; dressmaking. She began to make and tailor clothes for a livelihood, the practise making her a lot calmer than in her formative years, and she finally began to calm herself down. Maybe it was silly, searching for revenge over a child's toy. Maybe she should just practise both her arts and ignore conflict. Maybe a life of peace was best for her.

So, naturally, it wasn't long before she was attacked by ninjas.

Though her training meant that she was easily able to dispatch the attackers, the years of tailoring were a strain on her skills. She found herself slower, less agile, less powerful. And somewhere out there there was the head of a ninja clan, with a bratty little kid with a teddy bear in his hand. Her teddy bear. She changed her mind again, it was not silly looking for revenge over a teddy bear,  she should not avoid conflict and a life of peace was certainly not best for her. Packing her bags, she moved to Kyoto with revenge in mind. She decided that she would pursue her quarry while maintain a career as a tailor. Of course, this posed a problem. How could she balance the two lives without drawing attention to herself?

The answer came in the theory of the kunoichi; assassins of feudal Aerugo, women at that, who would, by day, seem like ordinary boring people, but when work called would be deadly warriors. Inventing a whole new persona for herself, Doresu Ayako would become the slightly dopey, meek and mild tailor by day, and by night would become a ninja-hunting vigilante and fighter for the Aerugo army. Practising her martial arts against the criminals of Kyoto and against any army that opposed Aerugo, all while hunting for the ninjas that held her teddy bear captive. The master martial artist, the deadly assassin, death on crimson wings...

The Kunoichi Cloth.

Xingese (green), Amestrian (blue) and a little bit of Drachman (grey).
     → Ayako is a practitioner of 10 seperate martial arts, and is the inventor of two whole new ones, all of which she either has already mastered or is well on the way of learning. The full list is as follows (red indicating that she is a master of this martial art, blue indicating that she is very skilled at this art, and light blue indicating that she is still in basic training);
# British Fairbairn Close Quarters
# Hikka Ken
# Brazilian Ju-jitsu

# Piguaquan
# Scottish Backhold Wrestling
# Baguazhang

# Koppo-ken
→ Ayako calls the style of fighting that she invented "Kowashita hone no dansu", or "The Dance of Broken Bones". The principles of this martial art is to get in close to an opponent and control their movements by trapping one or more of their limbs, either through blocking and trapping or through standing grapples and groundwork, before striking harshly at certain points of the body and incapacitate an opponent before they can attack back. Main targets are the ribs, the back of elbows, kneecaps and the neck.
→ Ayako also invented the "Furiko janpingu", utilising her pendulum like weaponry the Kibarashi furiko.
→ Ayako is also a keen belly dancer, though she does this mainly for exercise.
→ Ayako is allergic to strawberries, and will get a nasty case of hayfever whenever strawberries are around or it's strawberry season.
