DESCRIPTION:
→ Alaina is pretty much an average girl from Resembool. She is of an average height and weight, though depending on who she’s around she often appears short. Alaina’s hair is a light shade of brown and falls down to her shoulder in little waves. She usually pins it back in a ponytail but strands in the front generally hang down to frame her face. Her eyes are a light violet color and usually are bright and full of life. Alaina was generally seen with dresses on, but after she joined the military she stopped wearing them for the obvious reasons. She has a soft voice that makes her sound a little younger than she really is, this may come from not speaking a lot as a child and preferring to live in a quiet environment, though she’s started speaking more and louder since joining the military. She wears a heart shaped locket around her neck that her parents gave her, but most of the time she puts it under her shirt. She’d prefer that people not ask about it; she sometimes gets emotional when she thinks about her family because she believes she abandoned her family and thinks that they hate her for joining the one thing they despised so much.


PERSONALITY:
→ When she was living in Resembool with her family, Alaina was quiet and didn’t speak a lot at all. She didn’t have many friends then and would settle to simply staying at home with her mother and father. Because of the solitude, she grew to be quiet and would only speak when spoken to. Until she joined the military, Alaina didn’t speak much at all and was quite shy towards everyone.
Later, after she joined the military, Alaina’s personality seemed to reverse. Due to being around many people and wanting to fit in, Alaina started talking more. At first she was shy towards other people, and then she realized she wanted to be heard and known, no longer ignored. She started doing more fun things and talking more. As the weeks went by, Alaina quickly developed a love for fun. She loves getting into things she probably shouldn’t. She also believes that life should be lived to the extreme so you can get everything out of life before you die. Alaina is often seen with a smirk on her face and a glint in her eyes. Due to her adventurous side and dare devil attitude, it’s nearly impossible to ruin her day; even when she’s mad she had fun using various levels of sarcasm to insult the person or thing that caused her anger.
Alaina generally loves everyone and acts nice to everyone she meets. Though she generally tries to get along with everyone, Alaina can be quite stubborn if there is someone she just cannot get along with. She’ll try at first, to understand them, but if she can’t she’ll just result to subtly hating the person; and if the mutual hatred still doesn’t satisfy Alaina (which it generally doesn’t) she will outright hate the person and will quickly let them know. She has a spiteful tongue when she wants to use it and, if angered, can become dangerous.

HISTORY:
→ Alaina was born and raised in Resembool. Her mother and father raised her there, along with dozens of sheep. She helped her family around the farm as much as possible, mostly because she wanted to but not because she had to. She found the gentle breeze and the quiet noises of the sheep to be relaxing. Often times she would entirely forget about her chores and just lay back in the fields and gaze at the sky. Although her family saw all of the sheep the same way, as walking resources, Alaina developed bonds with the sheep.
Alaina’s family used most of the resources they had around them, as means of saving money. They would grow their own food to eat and sheer the sheep’s wool to make clothing and blankets. On occasion they would sell the wool to the market, but they generally just kept it. Her family was not necessarily poor, but they strived to save as much money as possible, because they wanted Alaina to one day take over the farm and start a family there with the money they had saved.
Eventually Alaina grew tired of living on the farm. She loved her family and adored the sheep that were there but she felt like she needed to do more, to explore the outside world. She grew restless in her home and would often wonder the streets of Resembool with no particular destination in mind. She also felt like she was a burden in her home, she wanted to do more with her life and let her parents live happily without having to pay for her.
Because of this longing to do more, Alaina signed up for the military. She was almost reluctant at first, because her parents begged her not to. They promised her a happy life on the farm and gave her the money they had saved, telling her she could use it on whatever she wanted. She wanted to do as they said, and stay with them, but she found that she couldn’t do it anymore.
Alaina’s parents were upset that she was leaving them to become part of the military, as they themselves didn’t like the idea of their daughter being run by them but the more they realized Alaina was serious, the more they tried to support her decision, though they still hated the idea.
At first Alaina was a bit afraid of the military, even though she was previously determined to join and thought it would be a great choice. The other militants intimidated her, but then again she never really met other people outside of her village, she being an only child that was overly protected by her parents.
A few weeks into the military, Alaina met another female militant who seemed to have a knack for having fun. At first Alaina was quite wary of this other female and tended to stay away from her, but as the weeks went on, Alaina found herself more and more intrigued by the person. This other person seemed to have no regard for safety and had way to much fun. Alaina eventually approached this person and became quick friends with them. The more the two hung out, the more Alaina developed a sense of fun and adventure. Alaina’s shell of quietness and solitude began to melt and Alaina quickly began to love this style of life. She would often get in trouble for the heck of it, sometimes even letting herself be caught.
She’s been in the military for about a year now, and is enjoying it more than she thought she would. She still contacts her parents on occasion, who seem to be doing fine without her there. So far Alaina’s life is not exactly what you could call “normal” or “calm”, but Alaina likes it just the way it is.
