→ Ari's transmutation consists of one active circle and one dormant one. The active is inscribed on her flute, near the mouthpiece. The so-far dormant is located at the back of her throat.


BRIEFING:
→ Both circles are identical: a circle filled with eight smaller circles, with two acute triangles representing air and water facing opposite directions. Inscribed inside each smaller circle is a symbol for a state of air pressure: continuously falling, falling then steady, falling before a lesser rise, falling before a greater rise, continuously rising, rising then steady, rising before a lesser fall, and rising before a greater fall. All of the circles are then linked with two curving lines, one concave, the other convex. In the past, it was used for more gentle purposes like creating ultrasound therapy, but now she uses it in battle. It is activated by blowing a single note into her flute, with her fingers on the circle (otherwise it won't activate) which is perhaps the ability's strongest weak point. All one would have to do is kick the flute away from her for it to fail. Usually, this isn't a problem, as she is able to lower the air pressure to the same level it would be hundreds of feet underneath the sea, effectively crippling her enemies long as the transmutation lasts. To do this, she must know the current moisture and general composition of the air. The alchemy affects a radius of about 3 yards. To prevent herself from being caught in the circle, she has to create a sort of bubble around herself that maintains normal air pressure. The louder her music is, the stronger and quicker the alchemic reaction will be. It is a bit more difficult to perform in drier environments, as the sound from her flute that her alchemy amplifies naturally travels faster through water.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:

→ The tattooed circle at the back of Ari's mouth is dormant simply because she's never had to use it before. It would only be neccessary to activate this circle should she lose her flute while in battle. But in such an emergency, it would provide a back-up attack that is far more powerful than her usual, yet much more short-lived and much more dangerous. Rather than her flute creating the sound to be amplified, once she claps her hands to activate it, she lets out a scream that powers the alchemy. The upsides are that the attack would become powerful enough to severely injure, or even kill, her enemies, destroy structures, and the radius is as far as her scream travels. The downsides are that it is much less controlled, only lasts as long as she can keep up the scream, and she could 1. get caught in the explosion, and/or 2. destroy her vocal cords and become mute.
