A Thing about Bowling (Sec) Empty A Thing about Bowling (Sec)

Post by Alder Finch Wed May 08, 2013 11:41 am

Alder tapped his chin in contemplation. Wait, what? Why was Alder Finch, psycho pilot, contemplating anything? The world was ending! No…he was debating whether or not green hair dye would be better than blue hair dye. Or maybe red. Ahh, just dye it rainbow! All of colors on his head would be way better than only one color. Or two. Or Three. Or…yeah. Alder was dyeing his hair. For what reason? For the sake of it. Plus, the fact that he figured that if his hair was rainbow then he would BE a rainbow, and would therefore taste like skittles. And who DOESN’T want to taste like skittles? NO ONE!

Alder rummaged in the cabinets before sighing sadly. He was missing yellow dye. Of course Alder’s hair was blonde but still. He needed blonde dye for the sake of rainbowness. Plus, it didn’t fully don on Alder that he didn’t need to waste the money buying hair dye that would do nothing to his already blonde hair. But logic, ya know, he doesn’t exactly have any. He could have always just started dyeing his hair qand realized that he did in fact have all the colors necessary for a complete rainbow (yes, he even had indigo. Poor indigo, always so forgotten.)

Alder (literally) skipped outside. The bright day and sunny skies were wonderful! It made Alder want to fly. But then again, everything made the Squad Leader want to fly. Eating, sleeping, bathing. Everything. But he was on a mission at this point! He was going to have rainbow hair! Or he was going to get distracted by something shiny and forget what he was doing in the first place. Which was generally what happened.

Oooh bowling alley! Alder liked bowling. He had never bowled a day in life but he loved it anyways because of like pins and bowling balls and stuff! Alder ran inside quickly, staring around in amazement at the sights around him. He bounded up to the bored looking man at the counter. “Hai there dude! I need bowling stuff!” Alder then drifted off, his gaze traveling around in search of someone interesting to be worth tackling.

Ah, Gelemort. A fine land, it was, quite truly, and had it not been for prior loyalties to his captain, Sec may have actually taken up the good General Murinyo's offer, the message from his grandfather, after years of not having ever met the man, he had sent word to have his eldest grandchild become king. He had declined, and he did not regret it. It had then fallen onto his younger brother's shoulders, and he had done as well as any teenager could do at ruling, which was to say, not very well at all. But then Murinyo had ascended to king, but three years ago, after his brother had fled the coun try, following a war he couldn't have, and indeed, hadn't, won. Poor boy was tossed into a bad spot, alas, he pitied the boy. But Murinyo had certainly done a fine job as king thus far. Hopefully, he would continue to do so.

But as of now, Sec was on a bit of a vacation. After attending the festival in Central, accompanying his captain on the day out, he had decided to take leave for a week, to meet with Wolfgang, his good friend, and also to tour the fine nation of Gelemort. Despite Murinyo's obvious insanity, and the insanity of nearly every citizen of the madhouse, it had a certain charm to it, and he quite enjoyed sight-seeing. But for now, he was going to enjoy a relaxing day of leisurely bowling. Truly a gentleman's sport, much like fencing, or archery, bowling was, little known fact, a favorite hobby of the well-dressed giant, and he was particularly notorious for his knee-drop, once he'd truly gotten into the zone.

He entered the alley, standing out quite a bit in his finely taqilored white suit, with platform shoes and a rather sharp looking fedora, complimented nicely with his long-ish blonde hair. Smiling a polite smile, he stepped up to the counter, paying for his lane, which he would apparently be sharing with one Alder Finch. While he had hoped the place would be empty enough for him to have a lane to himself, it didn't really matter, as there were really few joys better than that of a fine bit of sport between two gentlemen. So, that said, Sec adjusted his hat with a smile, and stepped over to a nearby table to remove his platform shoes, replacing them with his bowling shoes, which he had made for him, since nobody has shoes in his size. They also matched his suit, of course. Smiling, he then removed from his bag quite a prize; a thirty pound bowling ball, twice the weight of the largest the alley carried normally, made of polished white ivory, a stylish black label denoting his name and rank; "First Mate of The Ole Miss, Secundinasci Amor Invidia, Prince of Gelemort" In a small font size, obviously, because that name is MASSIVE. Placing the cool object in one hand, he stepped calmly over the his lane, smiling pleasantly at the man, tipping his hat as he greeted him.

"Good day, sir. I am called Secundinasci Amor Invidia, and I shall be bowling with you on this eve. Pray tell, what is your name?" For while he did know the man's name already, a proper introduction was always necessary. As such, he bowed deeply and knight-like, extending his hand in greeting, for Alder to shake. Chivalry is yet to die today.

A Thing about Bowling (Sec) Empty Re: A Thing about Bowling (Sec)

Alder grinned widely at the freakishly tall fellow that had just entered the establishment. If only he could think of a way to tackle the man. This dude was very tall, it would be kindda hard to tackle him and not get hurt. Alder figured he could stand on a chair or something and leap in the air or something. Maybe that would work. Unless he moved or something. That would be very bad for the poor blonde pilot man.

Alder blinked and turned his attention away from the tall suit-man that was getting his shoes on. Alder was currently staring at balls. Bowling balls that is. Trying to decide what color looked best, because who really cares about how much they weigh? Colors were way more important that whether or not you could actually pick the ball up. Because really now, who cares about arms popping off? Psh, no one. That fifteen pound ball was way prettier than the little ten pound one. Therefore, following logic, the fifteen pound ball was much better. Because of colors. And only because of colors.

Alder just picked up the ball when he glanced up and noticed the very tall man was right there beside him! Wooh! This was going to make tackling him a lot easier! Buuutttt it also meant that surprise tackling was gonna be quite hard. Oh well!

"Good day, sir. I am called Secundinasci Amor Invidia, and I shall be bowling with you on this eve. Pray tell, what is your name?" Alder grinned widely at the man's fanciful way of speech and shook his hand very eagerly. "'Sup dude? I'm Alder Finch! I'm a pilot for Gelemort. Squadron Leader to be precise! You're so freakishly tall, oh my gosh." Alder's eyes went wide and he quickly dropped to the floor in a low crouch and started punching at Sec's legs. "You wearind stilts or something? Woooaaaahh are you seriously that tall? How do you do stuff with that height? Is you car like really big or something? I bet you drive really funny. How long is your bed? Do your feet stick over? Haha that'd be funny. Do you have specially made blankets? Or do you not mind your feet being cold? Or do you use two blankets? Like one for your legs and one for your torso?" Alder then quickly jumped back up and stared hard at the man before hugging him tightly. "I love yo face."

Sec smiled pleasantly, but not more than is considered a small and polite smile, as the man introduced himself. Squadron Leader for an entire country? Quite a prestigious honor. The rather casual talk, similar to that of your average teenager, it was eh... A bit off-setting, but y'know, but Sec had been around the informal world long enough to know that things weren't always as they seemed at a glance. In fact, his very childhood had demonstrated that, as the club owners that raised him could be princely, regal, and of the utmost formality, or they could blend perfectly into the mix of club-goers, at the drop of a dime. At the note about his height, Sec smiled a bit brighter- which isn't to say much at all. "Ahh, well it is a pleasure to meet you, Colonel Finch. As far as my height is conce-" Alas, the gentleman giant had no time to finish speaking, as the odd man before him began punching his legs; he should probably stop, his legs were rather toned, the muscles might hurt his hand! Poor fellow.

"Not at all, I am merely a very, very tall man, I am indeed this tall, quite seriously, and do embelish." He paused momentarily in his answers, equally paced to the man's rapid questions. Following the next wave, he responded in turn once more, never breaking his calm, but politely pleasant, demeanor. "My car is a custom-made Audi R8 convertible, yes, but I don't drive strangely at all, in fact, I am my Captain's chauffer, my bed is approximately ten feet long, I had to make the mattress and bedframe myself, the blankets are also handmade, and I would be happy to answer further questions as we bowl, should you desire." Mnyes. Such a sir, he was, answering all of those questions! But what kind of a pirate's butler would he be if he couldn't answer a strange pilot's many questions? And at that point, the man leapt forward and hugged Sec, who frowned in minor discomfort. "Why thank you, sir, but I would prefer you not do such things; you may well have wrinkled my suit, dread the thought."

Alder tapped at the man's legs and punched in other places. Those legs were definitely wooden. But who would wear stilts into a bowling alley? Unless his legs were just that toned. But Alder doubted that, no one was actually that tall. Alder wrapped his hand around Sec's leg and squeezed it before popping back up. "Wooooah! You really are that tall. Scary, man. Scary." Alder stared at the man for a minute more before deciding to believe him.

Alder simply waved his hand as the man started talking about himself. Alder didn't care. He did ask all of those questions but it's not like he really cared about the answers. Generally he just bubbled out whatever came into his mind, with no actual care as to what the answers to his questions were. Unless with maybe Rufio, he was about the only one Alder might take time to listen to. Because love and all that crap. But really, Alder only cared about those answers when they were "yes". Unless he wanted the answer the answer to be "no" for some reason but that would be highly unlikely.

Alder picked up his own bowling ball then and smiled brightly. "Alright dude, what was your name?" Alder tilted his head and stared at the bowling ball Sec was holding. "Sec-oon-din-ask-kee? I'm just gonna call you...uh....NASKI!" Because Sec really was too obvious of a choice. Alder skipped toward the bowling lane. "Come on tall dude! Let's bowl! Oh yeah, I also have no idea how to bowl, so you go first!"
