Re: MISSION: Operation Central City Festival

"...Who told you you could fall on me? This isn't some TV drama."

...Huh?

Millie's green eyes opened wide and the girl looked around. How did she end up on top of him, and why were they BOTH on the ground? She took a brief moment to remember what had happened. After the purple-haired man had ordered her to get a bandage, she tried to find one..and began to fall back, when she felt something on her shoulders and one of his legs slid between hers. That's when they both fell to the ground...and he was blaming it on HER? Never mind that, they should probably get from under the tent instead of laying there like a sack of potatoes. Millie thought about that not a moment too soon, and apparently so did her gorgeous knight. He swiftly whisked her away from the clutches of the collapsing tent.

All around there was chaos and everything seemed to be falling apart...this wasn't the kind of festival that Millie had imagined when she arrived. There were flames, screams, bodies...and a tornado? A tornado?! She frowned and gripped her new companion's sleeve again as he lifted her up again and carried her rather quickly across the festival grounds. Milleise watched his face. He was beginning to sweat and something about the way his face morphed into a frown made her realize that something definitely wasn't right...especially the way his eyes seemed to change. They picked up speed and seemed to fly in the direction of the parking lot.

The reached a car and the girl was placed on the ground again. After being handed a bandaid (which she looked at, but didn't absorb the fact that he was so keen on her having one), she frowned and watched as the man with steel blue eyes stepped forward before beginning to fall. He began to cough wildly, and at first the girl stood in shock. Blood began to drip down onto the parking lot, and the man seemed to be in unimaginable pain. He then stood up after a forced breath, but began to sway again. Without thinking, the blue-haired girl slipped under him, knees buckling slightly as she caught him. He was heavier than she thought he would be, and her back touched the car, causing the alarm to go off.

"Hey, can you hear me?" she muttered, shaken by the whole situation. He didn't respond, so he was clearly unconscious...but what would she do? There were people running haphazardly through the parking lot, most of them not even bothering to get to their cars...and she wasn't sure what to do! The alarm and the screaming, the flames, the glowing festival...her hand slid down to one of the man's pockets, and she thought she felt car keys. Milleise pulled them out and unlocked the car, hands shaking, while trying to hold the man up, and she dragged him to the rear of the car. She almost dropped him while trying to open the door, but she managed to lay him in the back just before a woman bumped into her back, causing her to drop the keys.

"Shit!" she exclaimed before putting a hand to her mouth. That was probably the first time she'd ever used profanity, and she hoped it would be the last. Another bump to her back, and she dropped to the ground and scrambled to find the keys. She wasn't sure what she was getting herself into...but she felt that they needed to get as far away from all of this chaos as possible. After finding the keys, she tossed them into the driver's seat and threw off her ice skates. Her socks had slipped off too, and she stepped back into the blood that the man had coughed up earlier. With her entire body shaking, the got into the front of the car and struggled to put the keys in the ignition.

"Come on, come on!! COME ON!!"

Finally succeeding, she turned the keys and started the car. She'd never driven a car without shoes, but now wasn't the time to worry about that. Pressing her foot to the gas, she sped out of the parking lot and away from the chaos.

Jay watched the tornado and flames in drunken fascination... But no sooner had she realized they were an actual THREAT, than the high power-set swings swung. Her and The Midget King of Frostdeath were immediately swung into a high speed circle. "WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! THIS RIDE IS A FREAKIN SEXXY BEAST!" Jay laughed maniacally, not sober enough to- Wait, she wasn't sober at all... Right. Well anyways, as she screamed in joy, she was flung like a bomb towards Aurel and Hild as the swing she was on broke off, and flew at them, narrowly dodging Aurel's head. It hit the ground hard behind him, and the force struck Jay magicaly sober. "What!? Where am I? Oh crap, how did the festival light on fire? SINCE WHEN WAS I AT THE FESTIVAL!?" Jay's eyes were wide and disoriented in a sort of hangover. Then she noticed the Fuhrers she almost killed. "Hm? Oh! Aw, crap, I swear I didn't do all of this!" She saw Hild crying and looked at Aurel. "Erm, do you need any help getting out of here? I'd hate for whatever caused the explosions and stuff to kill the Fuhrer..." And obviously, she had quickly hidden her vodka bottle behind her back... Smart going, Jay!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darky had sat back and was ready to enjoy his ride. He was Roy De Royaume for Truth's sake, he deserved SOME time off! Who ever heard of a 14 year old child managing a nation without stress relief at carnivals? It was unheard of! But then he heard explosions from some parts of the fair and saw a tornado. "Aw crap... Truth, why do you cause this to happen to ME!?" He was about to go check out the tornado, when suddenly the ride started going full speed! "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! TRUTH FORGIVE ME FOR EVERYTHING I'VE EVER SAID ABOUT YOU, YOU'RE A COOL GUY!!!! JUST GET ME DOWN FROM HERE, I'M TOO SHORT TO RIDE THIS RIIIIIIIIIIIDE!" And he prayed to Truth that his wishes would be granted and SOMEONE would come to his aid!
Hmm...
If one were to have looked at the Central Command building, they would have been somewhat baffled by what they saw, assuming that they were looking in the right spot and had vision enhancing tech or abilities. A pitch black trench coat shifted in the breeze as a figure stood up facing away from the full moon behind him. His silver-white hair blew around his face uncontrolled, just as unrestrained by the Ishvallan whose head it rested upon as the Ishvallan himself was unrestrained by anything; be it mortality, military, or even the duty that he was supposed to be performing himself in the Carnival. (Luckily he had gotten some sap to fill the role for him)
Dark glasses that covered crimson red eyes made slight beeping noises as Colonel Xanthus Icarus looked down upon the carnival happening someways away. His influence had allowed him to acquire these new shades of his. Or rather he had opted to 'test' the new invention of the Tech department, called the Spade Shades, after the Central Commander himself, much to Icarus' amusement. And so, even though the Carnival had been quite a ways away, he had been watching quite a few of the events of the night using a very powerful zooming feature, his personal favorite feature of the specs.
His trench coat billowed in the wind further as Xan made mental notes about what he had seen. The Prime Minister of Creta had been 'killed' by Spade Aeries, a woman who looked slightly similar to Reila had been killed by the Ice Queen, who was then visited by a raven haired girl before being looked upon by Daigoro Ito, who was himself apparently having a stressful conversation with...hmm...the night had been quite interesting. In fact, watching the night progress had been something of an interesting chore in itself.
Xan's shadow suddenly began to move around unbidden by the light of the moon. It crawled towards him, moved up his pants, danced along his spine, and covered him entirely in lines of twisting shadow. The Spirit of Pride was manifesting itself...
"Yes, I know. There is work to be doing...without even being able to hear them I can see that what happened here tonight will throw this world into the fires of war again. The Prime Minister...Reila...Daigoro..."
Revealing a small file, Xan read the contents, circled something into it with a pen that apparently wrote down notes in blood red ink, then smiled as he took out a lighter and burned the entirety of the file. He dropped the quickly burning papers down onto the city below, and if one had been watching carefully, they would have seen a figure standing there, body fully erect against the brilliant white of the moon...then they would have been astounded as said figure disappeared, as though he had never even existed.
So much for trying to die by roller coaster. The entire time Aurel's feet were planted to the ground, the heels of his boots digging into the moist dirt. His eyes were a fierce display of anger, and he clutched the hem of his coat tightly while Hild buried her face into his chest. Fires leaped to life around them, swirling and eating the wind. What had become of an enjoyable night? If Aurel had died, he would have missed the show. What then would have happened to Hild? He clenched his hands tighter, listening to Hild's declarations of fear. She had nothing to be afraid of, however; Aurel was with her.
He took his eyes off the flames and looked down at her, a scary smile on his lips. "It was destroyed," he replied coldly. The fire seemed to back off at the sound of his voice and he took Hild and lifted her up off the ground. He couldn't trust that she wouldn't stray behind and get tangled in the flames. He absolutely could not have that. Therefore, this was the only option left available to him. "Stop crying and open you eyes," he hissed, looking straight forward now. "This is your country burning. Regardless of who, why, or how, you must watch; that is your only responsibility." Aurel threw off his coat and draped it over them. With a whip of raven hair, he dove through a wall of fire. Immediately, the coat ignited and he tossed it off. He had a closet full of them; materials were meant to merely be used and then thrown away.
He was kind of out of breath and stopped a moment, plotting their next movements in order to make it to the parking lot. It seemed the fires by the bathr--what was left of the bathrooms were now out. Someone--an alchemist--was taking action. With a glance at an ambulance speeding off, Aurel confirmed that it had to have been Spade who was in there. Clearly the guy who he had been fighting was now dead and...unfortunately burning underneath the ferris wheel somewhere. It had all started with that... And now... Aurel glanced up, his mismatched eyes glowing in the moonlight. "Reila," he breathed with venom. There was no one else...that could create something like that. Before them was a tornado. It was tearing apart everything, sending things flying. For the first time in Aurel's life he felt something akin to fear. But he did not bend to it, no, not to something so pathetic. Aurel smirked. It was time to say goodbye to Reila's plaything.
Aurel put Hild down, whipped out his trident, and shut his eyes in deep concentration. Instantly, his mind cleared and his eyes shot open into deadly slits. He stepped some yards away from Hild and pulled his arm back, aiming carefully. If he missed... He wasn't going to think about that. He was Aurelius Carston Schwarz; he never missed. He activated his alchemy in a festering blue glow and then let the piece of metal fly. It spiraled through the air, taken by the thrashing wind and spun into the vortex. Then the darkness grew, evolving into larger and larger pieces that broke away the storm. Cold black expanded until it seemed to envelop the entire area of the tornado until... It disappeared quietly--nothing flashy. And as the implosion vanished, it took the debris, the icicles, the fires, the flying cows, and everything else that had been sucked into the F4 and turned it into nothingness. Aurel's trident, too, was now gone. He turned to Hild with a smug expression and began walking leisurely in the direction of their car.
Re: MISSION: Operation Central City Festival
Post by Shula Brighton on Tue May 03, 2011 5:29 am
If this was how a normal carnival was run, she could see why her mother was so avidly against them. This was amazing only in how messed up it was. As the last of the children were round and had run off, Shula pulled the gate to the teacups shut with a clatter, telling all of the frustrated guests that they'd have to try a different ride until this one's operator came back. She sighed heavily, looking through the crowds. A little boy had toppled to the ground but was quickly found by an older one and had run off, so he seemed okay at least...
This was a mess, though, and her stomach started to bottom out as she looked up to hear more people screaming. Not from rides gone rampant, but because the sky had started glowing a bright golden red that signified only one thing: fire. Her eyes widened. The carnival was catching fire. Shula began to run toward the fire and clusters of panicking people when she realized she didn't have to as the wind picked up viciously around the whole park, fanning and spreading the flames to the buildings and rides quickly. This was not good. Shula ducked down, avoiding a sign that blew past her, fire hungrily chewing on the restaurant nearest to her, its patrons running out screaming. This was very bad.
Shula stood up, running to the row of food huts and game booths, trying to shout above the crowds as they rushed the door, threatening to trample each other. "EVERYBODY, calm down and get away from the window!" Picking up the specials sign, Shula swung hard, shattering the large single pane before dropping it again, holding her hands out to help people up and over the newly-made opening as quickly as possible. Smoke was beginning to choke the air as more of the structures in the crammed area burned. She coughed hard, her eyes burning. True, fire was her element, but normally she had it under control. Control... A light went off in her brain, the small blonde scrambling for the specials board she'd used, ripping the small bit of chalk from the string that was attached to it. Thank you Ishvalla for CHALK...
Coughing and scrambling to work quickly, Shula drew out the array she wore on her bracelets, kicking herself for not wearing them today. Really, she didn't think she'd need them. She fanned the smoke away with one hand as best she could, coughing as she drew what she needed. Thankfully she'd improved greatly in her skills since she'd come to Central and passed her exams; now it was time to see if she could put it to work. Shula coughed again, the fire catching the grease traps and spreading across the open areas as debris fell, blocking a large portion of the area people were trying to run through. Hands pressing to the circle the array activated, working quickly to bend the fires nearby to her will as much as she could. In what felt like eons, the fires blocking the walkway began to pull back toward her. She didn't dare take her focus away from what she was doing, only glancing up to make sure people were doing the smart thing and running like hell. More people ran past, the flames pulled back on one side as much as possible, now chewing only on the oily eatery, the smoke thick and black from the cooking grease and cheap paint and plastic table cloths. Shula coughed harshly, trying to keep her head down as much as possible to keep breathing good air, and to keep out of the way of everything and everyone else.
Her body was trembling, fighting against itself and the elements until finally the petite major cried out, dropping her concentration entirely and letting go of what she was doing. I have... to get out of here! Shula stood unsteadily, ducking down and running forward toward where everyone else had run, presumably the exit. The smoke and dirty wind were doing a number and making it difficult to breathe, the coughing pulling violently on where her lungs had already been scarred over the years. She was growing dizzy, and things around seemed to be swallowed into an expanding black... was that real though, or was she just that short of oxygen? Shula coughed as she slowly ran, stumbling more as she struggled to breathe, her heart racing as her lungs squeezed shut within her chest. The wind and heat seemed to be dying down, but at the same time... the world felt like it was starting to tilt a bit too far to the left while spinning out from under her feet at the same time. The ground met her knees harshly, the little Ishvallan doubled over and holding her chest as she coughed, straining for air even as the fires were dying down. She could feel her lungs rattle inside of her chest desperately as things grew fuzzy around the edges of her vision, her little body slumping to the side on the ground just past the Ferris wheel. Air.... I need... to breathe...
(OOC: Ok as a SHIT load of stuff has happened I think I'm gonna try and catch up on everything in one fair swoop.)
Tataki had noticed that his 'partner was chasing the man. Apparently he was getting rather into it himself while Tataki found the whole thing irritating. He hadn't ever heard about Heibai, then again, the east didn't always receive news reports on every little thing. So he had no idea that the man was actually trying to kill people. He had to admit though, the man was a hell of an actor. Now back on the subject at hand. He had been letting a few people in and kept hearing them scream. Apparently the haunted house was a big success. Tataki was not amused, in fact he was still sore about being blackmailed into this job by that bastard....
"Damn, Tataki, man, you're a genius."
Speak of the devil himself. Tataki heard the mans comment. It took all his willpower not to walk over and beat the man to death. No, his career couldn't take that kind of hit. Not when he was so close to his goal. He would allow him to stay part of the breathing. For now... As for the mean time he stayed at his post like the good soldier he was. He would,t go over to spade and chew him out or harm him in any way, shape, or form today. He wasn't gonna give him the satisfaction.
------------------------------
What the hell? Everything seemed to go from carefree to a complete chaotic mess quick. Fireworks? He guessed had gone off and set flames to everything. Tataki had tried to put out some of the spreading flames but it was a rather losing battle it seemed. With the main source of it burning there was not a whole lot he could do. But that pray was soon answered as it was blown out. What a relief that now he could get to.....work....on. A FUCKING TORNADO!? He didn't really have anything he could do for that at all. One of his brothers make but not him.
What was he gonna do? He now regretted not training his alchemy more. Sure he was proficient but what good was that when your trying to save lives? He was basically failing his country in his eyes right now. But he didn't have time to feel sorry for himself right now. He needed to find a way to stop this. As is another prayer was answered as an object flew into the tornado. Darkness seem to over take it rather easily and the tornado vanished from sight. Tataki stared in awe for a few moments before looking around for the one who did it. He actually didn't spot the one who did it but the madame Fuhrer herself. Now this was unacceptable! Why was there no one around helping her!?
Oh well you wanted something done right you had to do it yourself though there was a man with her it would seem. Aurel was with her it would seem. Oh well. He rushed over to them anyway running as fast as his legs could carry him, which was actually rather quick as he was in rather good shape. When he made it to where they were located Aurel had started to make his way off to...somewhere. Tataki didn't really know. "Madame Fuhrer? Are you alright?" he asked not saluting at this time as the matter at hand had more pressing urgency. He had to know if anything bad had happened to their leader. He would seek vengeance on those who did this especially if they did anything to her. It wasn't so much of a love for her as it was a love of his country and its people.
Explosions, tornadoes, fire! It was all so entrancing! The young Emperor of Xing sighed and shouted out, seeing Zairen head towards the car, with a young woman in tow. Oh, that was just great. Leaving him behind like that? He shook his head, looking around the carnage, trying to see if there was some other way to leave. Well, he was welcome to walk out, but he meant person-wise.
He didn't know his way around Central City! What if he got lost? Or hurt? Or KILLED?! What if someone went to MUG him?! He whined loudly, wondering if he should've stayed with Sakuya. With a sigh, he saw the tornado dissipate, and he left the clown behind, walking off towards an exit - it might've been safe to stay with her, but he wasn't too worried, he was sure she'd find her way out of here.
That's when he saw someone else - a raven-haired girl. She was, to be honest, striking. There was a beauty about her that he had never seen before, and he wanted to see more. So he started to walk in her direction, pulling out the notebook - wait, no. He placed the book back in his pocket. What was it? He wasn't meant to bring that notebook out, right? If he had it out - it creeped people out, or something? He didn't get it, but ah, well. That was to be expected.
There was still a lot for him to understand about Amestrian society, that was for sure.
Anyway, he followed this girl silently, and all the while, trying to think of some line to say to her - to try and "woo" her.
Hi. I'm the Emperor of Xing, and you're beautiful. No, no.
Hi, how much does a polar bear weigh? Enough to break the ice - hi, I'm Saeji. No, no, no!
He sighed. He should just be himself, right? He followed her a little longer, just in time to see her get into a car, one that the Fuhrer and another man were headed towards. Ne...? What was going on? He sighed again, and decided to give up, for now. Turning away, he walked off into the distance - avoiding the occasional firebolt and stuff. He'd find Zairen sooner or later.
Vincent watched as what seemed like two Titans clashed in the middle of the carnival grounds. The sight wasn't scary, as more just surprising. He wised there was something he could do to stop them, but trying to do that would most likely get himself killed. The Carnival had already been evacuated, so no additional casualties would happen. That was when the tornado came up between the two combatants, starting to rip the grounds apart. Crap, he thought to himself as he watched the spectacle before him. He needed to get as many people out of here as possible. He turned to see Lady Hild herself, along with her older brother and the leader of Eastern Command. Priority number one had just shown itself to him like a spot light."Sirs, madams, we need to get out of here right now!" Vince yelled as he ran towards them. Before he could even take a few steps, Aurel threw something into the tornado, and it just, went away. Vince saw the situation was over, and was way too done with this. "This day needs to end," he said as he walked away, heading back to the command center to help start the clean up.
There were many ways in which to find a person. Harumi didn't wish to scour the flames for the Fuhrer's brother; instead, she found it an advantage to go to the place she knew they would eventually be: their car. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot, but one thing was for sure: the one with the "DSTRCTN" license plate was definitely Aurelius'. Haru could have pinpointed it in her sleep. What with the sleek black paint job, fancy make (Audi) and the tinted windows. How obvious could you get? The best part was the keypad on the door made it easy to break into. Hell, it only took her an hour to try all the code variations before she got the right one. And sure enough the door automatically swung open for her. She slipped over the driver's seat, her smooth legs sliding against the leather. She then leaped into the back and laid down behind the seats. Of course, it was immaculate. She glowered at how intensely clean it was. Did this guy go anywhere!? She hardly knew anything about him so...maybe he didn't? What did he just sit at a desk and do all the Fuhrer's paperwork for her or something? What a waste of life. This guy couldn't possibly have any memories worth keeping anyway. This at least cleared Haru's conscience...slightly. She hated seeing people miserable, but they deserved it for making others suffer. The things...Dietrich showed her...
Haru felt her bright blue eyes tear up slightly. Like after the earthquake--people dying everywhere... She could never forget that, however, she did forget everything before it. The girl ruffled her long black hair and threw it to the side frustratingly. Why couldn't she remember anything ever? Usually people had flashbacks after two years or so... She had nothing. And now...she was causing the same grief to others by erasing their memories. The redheaded guy who didn't even notice her...was that the Head of Briggs' special memory? Haru wondered...what exactly that girl would forget...how much would she suffer? A tear fell and she wiped it away with anger, staring at it as if it was foreign--an alien that no one would have guessed would ever land on Earth... It was so dark...her heart was so dark and...it was only becoming darker. Why...was she doing this again?
"Need to change..."
Acra had ignored all the fighting and chaos and concentrated on his date till the fire had spread and the bombs had dropped. Yeah that was hard to ignore those. Sighing he downed his beer and stood. Rochelle was clinging to his whimpering and crying in fear. Ah Rochelle she was a pretty little brunette with a chest to be proud of and he looked foreword to his reward for all this later. Smiling he turned to his manservant Wallace. The butler was tackling flames with a fire extinguisher while motioning people towards the exit. “I guess it’s time we leave.” He said to Rochelle taking her hand kissing it. “Shall I lead you to the exit?” He asked her as the girl blushed and giggled. “Yes please Mr military man.” she said leaning against him as he looked to Wallace. “Wallace let’s go.” he called to him.
The manservant lead the way as Acra casually walked behind him with Rochelle. The passed the fun house when he heard cries and shouts. Stopping he called against it. “Is someone in there?” he waited two long seconds when he heard a child like cry and sniffle. “Help me…” A small voice gasped out coughing from the burning wreckage. Acra frowned. “Wallace have you got my gloves… people are trapped I have to get them out.” He took the Kevlar gloves from his butler while the man motioned the girl to follow him.
Wallace and Rochelle trudged on words being careful of fire while the tall bulking man put any obstructing fire out with the little red fire Extinguisher. Though there’s a lesson to be learnt here my friends and that’s when you go to the fair that is being ran by the military nut jobs. Where there is a high chance that you will have to evacuate from fire and bombs being dropped. You do not wear stiletto heels. The chance of almost breaking your neck from stepping over rubble is high. This is what happened to Rochelle. The girl shrieked as she felt her ankle twist and sprain. She cried out in panic on the grassy ground as the flames roared either side of her. Wallace turned picking her up swinging her onto his back and trudged off towards the exit.
As he laboured foreword he heard a wheeze and cough. Curious he diverted from his path ignoring the squawk of his pushy passenger. “Is someone stuck there?” The man called. He walked towards the trembling forum of a girl. After a few slow ticking minuets he realised who it was. “Miss Brighton!!” He called out moving foreword proceeding to continue ignoring the protests of his master date. Knowing Acra would be furious if Shula was left to die. He lent down and shook her shoulder softly. “Miss Brighton? Miss Brighton can you hear me?” He asked attentively before deciding she must of inhaled to much smoke to answer. Carefully scooping her up he carried the two women out and into the evac zone.
Meanwhile (in central city) with Acra he was thanking his lucky stars he had brought his gloves. Rubbing his palms together hearing the hiss of his alchemy he pressed his palms to the rubble making it melt to his touch. Stepping in he was met with a blast of heat and the lick of flames to his jacket. “Shit!” he swore side stepping the flames feeding off the sudden intruding air and headed around the jumble of broken fun house. “Hey keep talking…” He called out only hearing the odd sniffle. “Come on kiddo please keep talking.” He begged as he kept searching through all the kooks and crannies. Soon he entered the now broken hall of mirrors to smell the faint scent of blood. “Ah there you are…” he said finding hidden in the corner a small girl. Barely eight clutching a bleeding arm cut on glass. “ Hey there little miss. I think its time for us to get out of here.” He offered his hand seeing her shy away. Chewing his cheek cursing at the intimidating quality to his height he taught as the sound of something going bang made the need to get out more urgent. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his state watch. “See look I’m a good guy.” he added as the girl took it gently. Inspecting it then sniffed looking up at his with big blue eyes. “I got lost and I can’t find my mommy.” She sniffed and reached out. Acra gently scooped her up and headed out. Carefully making his own doorway out he carried the girl out of the park to be met with a hysterical woman thanking him for saving her young one. Glad to be out and to help rescue a small helpless girl from a nasty death he looked round horrified to see his butler cradling what he mistook as a dead Shula. “Shula!” He called out running over kneeling beside the manservant his face dirty and sooty he shook her shoulder panicking about the health of his best friend.
Kaoru was rather disappointed for his day err night cause it wasnt really as eventful as he wanted it to be well besides teh every now and aagin some woman grabbing his ass which kinda suprised him. there was less activity from his booth so he dicided to close it since well no people and no entertainment of tehm be dunked into the water which was in the vat beside him. When he had finished packing up he had tonnes of Water and what to do with it and as he was looking aorund at teh sky he noticed something very VERY odd a random tornado in the distance TORNADO!!!!! now Kaoru had nearly seen everything yeah the next thing fire will start brakeing out and bombs some how start going off and what do you know random explosions start and there is a glow of fire in the distance around that area where that tornado was.
"Oh no" Kaoru thought, should he leave now since they wes not close but then they werent very far either well if he got out now he could get scott free nothign to worry about but then trouble will be brewing but since he was this far away it probably wouldnt effect him so he decided to get his ass outta there but then these people wont know about all that until so he yelled out " you wanna start movign if ya wanna get out sorry to say i got a message from the boss that we closing now sorry for the problems" and he motioned people to the exit and left as well.
"Stop crying and open you eyes. This is your country burning. Regardless of who, why, or how, you must watch; that is your only responsibility." Eh... Hild leaned back from Aurel and sighed softly, bringing a soft hand to her face and wiping away the tears. She whimpered softly, and stepped back and away from Aurel further, looking around to see the tornado.
"Eye, Aurel. Eye." She closed it for a second, and breathed out with a small and solemn smile on her face. She turned away, and saw Aurel moving, preparing his Alchemy. She watched the trident glow, and fly into the distance with a smirk. When it went into the center of the carnage, she just watched it all disappear. That was her Aurel.
"Madame Fuhrer? Are you alright?"
"Brigadier General Masu. I'm fine. Do you need assistance?" She tilted her head to the side and beckoned for him to follow her and Aurel to the car.
"You can ride with us, Tataki. We have a meeting to set up eventually." She nodded a couple of times, and walked leisurely behind Aurel, keeping up with him and smiling softly.
"I'll get in first~" She ran ahead of him, and opened the door, climbing into the seat, not noticing the girl in hiding.
Tornadoes, explosions and chaos, oh my! This was what Jethro Black, Brigadier General and leader of Wester HQ, was thinking as he watched the events unfold before him. He didn't know whether to be freaked out or relaxed, at the time he was kind of in between. That's when Jet saw something horrible. A woman had been caught in the tornado and was flying across the grounds, right towards him! Jet needed to act fast, there wasn't much time. Using his alchemy, he increased the air resistance in front of her, making her slow down considerably. Prepping himself, he jumped up and caught this strikingly beautiful woman in his arms, landing lightly on the ground. He looked at the girl now in his arms and was taken aback. She was stunning, but extremely beat up. What surprised him the most was her ethnicity however, she was Aerugonese! It was odd to see someone like that here, especially during the time. It was a well known fact that Aerugo, alongside Creta, was currently occupying the Southern sector of Amestris. Because of this, seeing someone of her descent was odd to say the least. He immediately disregarded this however, as she was in need of his help! She had several holes on her limbs and was bleeding pretty bad. "If I don't get her to a hospital right away she won't last long, not in this condition," he said to himself as he turned towards the exit. He began running, bearing the lady as if he had nothing in his arms, heading straight to Central hospital
Jet ignored the swath of people in his way, most of them milling around hopelessly trying to figure out what was going on in the carnival now that most people had been evacuated. It was like they were drawn to it, like a moth to light. It was kind of sad in a way, how people were like that. Jet didn't resent them for it though, it's typical human behavior after all, can't be helped. He continued running at full speed through the crowd, moving as if he didn't have 60lbs of cold steel covering him from head to toe, AND carrying a woman in his arms no less! He didn't care though, his mind pressed him forward no matter the obstacle, this woman was in dire need of his assistance! And damn if he wasn't going to do everything in his power to help her. Faster, he thought to himself. Must go faster! Without even thinking about it he activated his alchemy, lessening the air resistance around himself to let him go faster than normal, which is pretty fast considering he was already pushing his limits.
Finally he reached his destination, the Central Hospital! He burst through the double doors like in the movies and yelled out "Hey, somebody help! She's seriously hurt and needs help!" Several staff, including a doctor or two, ran forward with a stretcher, allowing him to light lay her down upon it. They wheeled her away quickly, also seeing the time was of the essence to save this young woman's life. She's in your hands now my friends, he thought to himself as he thumped down into a seat, knowing he had a long night ahead of him. He would stay until he found out the full condition of this mysterious girl. I hope she's ok...
Murazar was suddenly knocked out, he woke up soon after with a raging headache and stumbled to his feet before finding himself on top of a broken rollercoaster. He had no idea how he had gotten there, he looked around and watched the events unfold before him. The mass amount of people dying or fleeing from the area. Reila fighting what appeared to be reila fighting someone before losing and dai helping her. He threw himself off of the rollercoaster as he grimly felt a shockwave of massive preportions come into existance.
Everything was confusing and he would figure it out later. As he fell he felt a rush, he was going to die if he didn't stop himself. He let it go to the last second as if death would provide a sweet release he didn't deserve yet. He blasted the ground to slow his fall to a halt before sprinting off at top speed to get away from the tornado.
He wobbled as he finally reached the end of the distance for surviving the tornado. His legs felt like jello. He had pushed his limits as a drunken systematically self-destroyed foolish self could do. He dropped and decided to move later.
Re: MISSION: Operation Central City Festival
Post by Shula Brighton on Wed May 04, 2011 5:19 am
Somewhere along the lines, the world had stopped existing. The fire and wind had blurred together with the buildings and then with the dirt and trampled grass into one indistinguishable, darkening gray until it had all faded to black. She had been in pain from coughing and was still in pain for the same reason, but in this blackness she seemed to feel it less. Ahh, blessed unconsciousness. People were still screaming and running past, and there were voices coming near that she almost thought were calling her name, but everything seemed so hazy and far away, like the sound were coming through water to get to her ears.
Breath trickled in and out as she was lifted and carried off, hanging limp as a rag doll against the butler's arms, only aware in the vaguest of senses as she struggled for consciousness and air, her own body still fighting against itself and working to become calm enough to give her the option. Shula didn't respond in the slightest as she was laid down in the parking lot or as her best friend shook her shoulder frantically. It wasn't until agonizingly long moments later after the paramedics on site had been flagged down and come to check on the four of them that any promise of air would come her way. Rochelle's ankle was presently ignored as the blonde was laid flat on the stretcher and her head tilted back, the very long, wide plastic pipe carefully inserted down her throat and into her lungs. A small pump was squeezed steadily, forcing air into her body through her swollen throat as the stretcher was lifted and loaded into the back of the paramedics van. Her heart rate was returning to normal now that air was being steadily supplied to her, and after a very long, hazy moment Shula started to come to, her mind hazy and a little dizzy. A hand held her gently to where she was, keeping her from bolting upright in a panic if she fully work up.
Slowly the back of Shula's mind started to reboot, even though the rest of her body didn't want to comply and let her stay in the comfortable darkness a little longer. She couldn't move and hurt all over, and there was something keeping her from talking that the rest of her conscious mind didn't feel like struggling against to figure out right now. The other paramedic held the back door to the truck open, offering a ride to the hospital for anyone else who wanted to ride with them to the hospital. In the very back of her mind, Shula could only hazily think about what she'd just walked out of when a single thought settled in her mind:
....That carnival SUCKED.
Acra stared in horror as he was shoved aside and the paramedics started working on Shula. Sure he had watched many medical drama’s and sure he had seen the procedure many times before but right now watching it all happen on Shula, It was terrifying. Would she live what if she died….He felt the breasts of his date press to his arm. He had to suppress a growl. Now was not the time for her to flaunt her body against him. His friend was dieing in front of him last thing he wanted right now was some bimbo on he. Shoving her off he listened as the paramedic said they were taking Shula to the hospital.
I’ll go with her…I've got her grandfathers phone number so I’ll give him a call.” He croaked out and turned to Wallace. “Can you take Miss Rochelle home Wallace… then meet me at the hospital later…” He added giving a feeble cough as one of the paramedics handed him a bottle of water offering a hand into the ambulance. He sat by Shula taking the girls hand as it drove off. Checking the wall for any signs telling him otherwise he dialled the number for Shula’s grandfather to tell him what happened.
"Brigadier General Masu. I'm fine. Do you need assistance?"
Oh good their Fuhrer hadn't been harmed. He didn't think the people of Amestris could take there leader being hurt...or heaven forbid dying. The fact that she asked if he needed assistance puzzled him. "Uh no, no I fine," he said a little bewildered. Oh well seems she was a kind Fuhrer.
"You can ride with us, Tataki. We have a meeting to set up eventually."
"I'll get in first~"
Tataki thought maybe this is what she meant by assistance. Well he supposed that would be alright. Since he would be able to learn when the meeting would be and the like. It was already obvious what it was going to be about... Such senseless murder had occurred here today. So many civilians had lost their lives. This was a unforgivable blow to Amestris and its people. There needed to be at least some retribution done to those who caused it. "Uh sure, thank you for the invite Madame Fuhrer," he said as he began following them to the car. The Fuhrer's way of saying she wanted in first was kinda of cute and made Tataki smirk a little. This was more on the outside as on the inside he was still angry over what had transpired. He would be the last in the car following Aurel when he got in.
(~(xD Jay ish following Aurel/Hiuld still... So EXIT with you all? xD As for Darky... And Ini. XP I'll post them now. Hang on.)~)
Darky finally managed to fight off the urge to vomit and, clinging for dear life, slammed his hand to his wrist. "TRUTH!! YOU SUCK! MY SHADOWS COULD PWN THIS RIDE!!!" But instead of shadow threads, roses petals fell from the sky. They resembled his old shadow petals, but were not the same... They flew frenzied, at the ropes of his wing and severed it to the ground- Flinging him about 10 meters away, on his face. The tornado was drawing closer, so he decided to make his exit-In style! He obviously plaed the big shot, grabbing his swing piece and running AT the tornado, quickly. He jumped into it, board on his feet, and somehow surfed the winds! But it failed, horribly, and he was instead flung into a tree, very hard... And then he fell right onto the ice rink. So much for style... And cursing Truth to death in every language in his massive vocabulary, he passed out, something he couldn't just NOT do anymore... Gosh darneded Tejirou...
Inimeg wandered the perimeter of her territory, the skating rink, in boredom, with her cane in hand, scanning the people around her in infrared, thermal form. Suddenly, she was blinded when explosions occured, and fire erupted all around. All she then bheard was a a huge roaring sound. She managed to feel her way away from the rink, away from the noise. As she moved, slowly, she felt the winds pulling at her, and was about to try to scan for an area that wouldn't screw with her thermals, when she was struck over the head by a falling ... Midget? Odd. "HEY! YOU STUPID IDIOT, ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME? MAN, WATCH WHY YOU GET THROWN, OKAY YOU PINT SIZED PIECE OF FLEA CRAP!" Then she realized he was out like a lightbulb. So, she decided to do something nice, at the least, and hoisted him over her shoulders. She then tried once more to seek out an exit, and finally managed to get to one. YES~ She ran to it, now able to see a bit less fuzzily, still tripping on rocks, but managing. And she finally escaped the inferno!
You failed your mission Apos," Apos' eyes narrowed, and he turned to watch Spade with a slight grimace.
"Your bathroom is on fire...at this rate, you'll have failed all your missions."
"Well I'm sorry for caring." He smirked, and looked up, to see all the shit that was going on right about now. Tornadoes, fires, it was amazing - practically out of a fairy tale, or a picture book. Maybe a manga. That was more likely.
"He...he wasn't meant to fall!! Markus he...I've known him since we--since we were seventeen... I didn't know why he was being such an ass...how could he think that I was trying to kill him by bringing him here?!" Apos didn't know what to say right now. All he could do was listen. And even then... he was no use at all. He looked down and to the side, closing his eyes briefly. This was a sad, sad day in Central.
The rest of Spade's words flowed by like a blur, and Apos took them all in carefully.
"I have a mission for you..."
A... mission?
"Hah...tell them, no, I mean for the report...that someone planned this.. It was someone at the top of Creta that planted these ideas into his head...and they wanted this to happen... I..."
So his idea was right. There was some higher power involved in all this. He punched the ground, and stood up with a slight whine of rage.
"You have my word." He knelt down beside the man, and picked him up, without any consent. He 'hupped', and threw him over his shoulder with a small sigh.
"Your time will only be up when I surpass you, and that hasn't happened yet, right?" He laughed softly, and walke--limped forwards, carrying the man to the Central City Hospital, or at least as close as he could get. He would see to this man's treatment, if it was the l-- No, no need to jinx that one. He smiled softly to himself, limping into the distance.
And as they walked away, the body of Markus Samaris lay there, staring lifelessly into the sky, blank, a new beginning - the end was finally there, and the world was about to change...
Things had certainly taken a surreal turn for Izzy. Perhaps too surreal. Things were happening that, logically speaking, shouldn’t. She had even imagined a Xingese man walking up to her and talking to her, possibly hitting on her? Or was that a hallucination? She pondered that for a moment as she walked off, looking around as though she were in another world.
Perhaps that chimera was real, and she was killed by it. Perhaps this was Hell. She cringed at every shriek and scream, all of them beginning to fuse together, the scraping and grating increasing exponentially. Yes, perhaps she was put into her own personal Hell, and would never be able to get another moment of peace and quiet again.
Staring at the flames of the blown up bathroom, she’s digs her nails onto her forearm. “God dammit!” she shouts, pulling her hand away, seeing that she’d drawn blood. With a sigh, she realizes that this is nothing more than reality. “Figures. Every time I think I understand the world, it throws a curveball.”
Noticing that she seems to be one of the few people left wandering the carnival, she breaks into a sprint for the nearest exit. She could get the details of what exactly happened from someone else, but she had the feeling that something important slipped under her radar.
