Beginning of the lonely work

Kaoru Natsume the man with the black sleeveless shirt and the grey vest his dull grey/silver eyes half open with a dull expression on his face not wanting to seem interested he stood at the enterance to the central HQ becuase he had applied for a job as a mesenger for central becuase it was a lonely job and kaoru hated larger groups anyways so it was perfect job for him he had a rough past and he prefered to be lonely in the time that he had until death took him away which is far off anyway. The sudden urge to smoke a cigerette was now somehow bugging him so he reached for one of his back pocket to get his cigerettes and his lighter then he puts a cigerette in his mouth as he brings the lighter up to it.

He lit his cigerette as he breathes the cigerette smoke in then breathes out as he done teh the expression on his face was filled with delight. Kaoru noticed people giving hiim odd looks as they walked past and Kaoru knew the reason the razorwire that surronded both his arms was rather unique but he needed to help with his special alchemy but he did not wish to tell anyone about it becuase it was putting his life at risk but he did not mind tehn Kaoru signed " I wonder when that guy is gonna get here hmm it does not really matter when he gets here its just im getting annoyed at teh looks people are giving me " Kaoru just spoke right out loud but then again he didnt care because he did not even notice.

Spade strut out the front doors in a smooth walk. His jade eyes were downcast, raising only to catch eyes with the seldom pretty lady that moved down the sidewalk. With a hand in his pocket, he withdrew his lighter and lit up a Lucky Strike cigarette. Taking a drag, he blew out a cloud of smoke and smirked up at the cold winter sky. Now... where was that guy he was supposed to be meeting here? With a swipe of wavy hair, the brunette turned to scour the bordering people in search. Geek--no, Businessman--no, Sexy lady...ye--no, kid--no, weird guy with razor-looking wire down his arms...maybe. Spade sauntered down the stairs and slid casually over to the railing where he was. "Yo." He waved a hand with a friendly smile. "You Kao?" He pushed his flashy shades down his nose to look over them. "Kaoru Natsume?"

Kaoru was looking around until he heard a "yo" then a "kao" then are "Kaoru natsume?" when he heard this he turned the the man that was speaking but when he heard "Kao" it kind of annoyed him for some reason but he didn't really mind mmm yes i am Kaoru " He put more emphasis on the Kaoru " And i assume you must be Spade then " Kaoru looked over the man to see what kinda of person he was and Kaoru decided that he seemed rather stuck up and flirty for a guy but Kaoru didnt really care he was more wanted to get that job and get on to it right away so he can be alone for a while then again he has to get the job first

" So this job of messenger how hard will i have to work to actually get it or will you be willing to just hand it over cause you seem busy hehehe " Kaoru was fine with just the one guy here but if the people that came got bigger Kaoru would have problems Kaoru was kind of rushing the situation but he didnt mind but then again he had no one to go home to so he didnt really want to rush it.

This guy was confusing. First he seemed a bit annoyed by his nickname and then he seemed to accept it. Just like that? Come on, where was the flare? Spade smirked, his emerald eyes shining in the sunlight. "Yep that's me." Those scrutinizing eyes assessed him, but there didn't seem to be a result from it or a deciding factor. Spade wasn't quite sure how to react, so he decided to act natural: that was always the best way anyway. He sighed and leaned against the cold railing, glancing over to stare at Kaoru. "Central never has enough messengers. And I'm always busy so I've gotten used to it," He said as he played with the paperwork he was holding. He tossed his wasting cigarette to the ground near a trashcan and stomped it out. Hey, it was close enough, right? The head of central head quarters glanced around them then and looked back at Kaoru. "You don't seem to like crowds too much, do ya?"

Kaoru noticed that Spade glanced at the central HQ before talking again and the fact that their were not many messenger was kind of obvious that fact that things are happening around other parts of amestris but then again this is the hub of the country so more would be needed here other then anywhere else " well then maybe you should employ more people that prefer long lonely journies then " Kaoru was a bit confused abotu the fact that this guy had tonnes of work when he could jsut make someone else do it instead considering this guy is ment to be the head of central head quarters, and on the matters of getting used to thing Kaoru had really gotten used to be alone anyways.

" yeah i am not very fond of them, but then again crowds are just people anyway so at osme point they will leave you and betray you in some way and i have had too much of that " As Kaoru said that he took a puff of his cigerette and kneeled to teh ground picking up a small stone in his fingers and flicking it away to the side then he stood back up again " We migth as well get your jobs done as we talk since you seem to have a lot on ya plate already then having to deal with me, and plus you can call it a your of HQ and doing your job at the same time so its, two stones with one bird "

Spade laughed at the guy's suggestion, stretching his arms high into the air. "Well, since you asked, currently, we have two others employed, but three total is all we require. Do you know how easy it is to send an e-mail?" The brunette smirked, his eyes gleaming with intelligence. "You see, while it costs more money to deploy people, it is also more dangerous. Humans die very easily, and taking that chance isn't always in central's best interest."

Spade let Kaoru speak and listened as he explained the reason for his adherence to crowds. Nodding, the head of central head quarters stalked around to the other side of him, glancing out to the people on the streets. He turned back to his new messenger. "Ah, I see. Though, not every human has the ability to betray. I personally am not capable...too much work." He laughed and bent down at the same time he did, curious as to what he was doing. When Kaoru stood up, Spade stayed down, thinking quickly about what he had just said. It was slightly confusing. "You mean two birds with one stone?" Spade murmured quietly, but he guessed it really didn't matter. He stood up then and pulled out the paperwork from under his arm. "I have a long journey for you." He offered them to Kaoru with his trademark crooked grin. "Take this to Reila Tsukino of Briggs, please."

He slid his sunglasses back over his eyes and turned back towards the front doors. "Now, if you'll excuse me..."

" Humans my die easily but nthen here are some that can survive alot easier hence why people became alchemists to live longer hahahah well i think anyways " Kaoru loked down at Spade as he stayed down on the ground longer then Kaoru did. Kaoru then sighed a little hoping he could leave soon but then Spade gave Kaoru some paperwork he looked at it thinking "aww crap" but that wasn't the bad part he had to go to briggs the freezing cold fortress of the north with teh hardest men errr women in the country since they seem to be in the higher ranks in military in that part of the country.

Kaoru was more worried abotu actually surviving the trip up there with teh freezing snow and blzzard like weather that changes instantly and he would need warmer clothe with he didnt have besides his military jacket. by this time Spade had started walking to the HQ building then Kaoru called out to spade " Betrayal aint an ability it more like human nature " then Kaoru turned to go buy a proper jacket and to get ona train to the north.
