Veil was not the type to give speeches. However, this seemed a perfect opportunity to give his subordinates some morale. "This area once belonged to Aerugo until the barbarians of Amestris took it from us in their greed. Today we take it back along with their entire southern quadrant." he yelled. Many were surprised by this statement. It was weird that it was not an order or something to strike fear for obedience. No, instead it caused them to cheer. He raised his longer sword above his head and swept it down.

"ATTACK! Anyone who takes a step backwards or a rest will die!." That was more like his usual commands. However, Veil was a not a coward and dashed forward sheathing his sword as he did. With a quick alchemy he changed his arm into a dense shield to protect himself from enemy gunfire whilst he got close to his enemies.

As the Aerugese soldiers moved forward a sudden explosion went off killing some of them. The reason this happened was because there were landmines put underneath the ground to stop the Aerugese soldiers from moving forward. It was not the Amestrian army who did this but a group of mercenaries lead by the mercenary called White Fox. White Fox used his connections with the underground crime world to buy some of the Aerugese army’s information that leaked. White Fox was not a hundred percent sure that the information he got has true or not, but that did not stop the White Fox to think of a perfect strategy just in case it was true.

The strategy was to catch the Aerugese soldiers by surprise because they wouldn’t think that the Amestrian soldiers would be stationed at a city that is now simply a crater or at lease be attacked so soon. It was also a part of the strategy to wait until the Aerugese soldiers were at the bottom of the crater to trap them. So because of the landmines they could not go forward, their only options were to stay there with no cover or climb the slope to get out of the crater leaving themselves open for an enemy attack. White Fox also had the mercenaries take big sandbags with them to use as cover. He also gave the mercenaries armor piercing bullets just incase the Aerugese soldiers had armor on.

Then White Fox gave the order to fire at the Aerugese soldiers to the snipers with the armor piercing bullets. “This it what you get for being foolish you dumb asses. I need the Amestrians to kill Farther so my plans can go over smoothly and if I have to kill all of you to make that happen, I will.”

"Ugh what a drag..." Spade muttered under his breath. He sauntered past his troops with a scowl of neglect plastered all over his face. Just what was the point of being here? They had to defend the South from the Aerugese, but seriously...what the reason for protecting a completely destroyed city? The Brigadier General shrugged his shoulders and continued down the line, pretending to access them for battle. "Damn..I really want a drink." He sighed and stared blankly at the failed military uniform of one of his officers. "And a woman." Yes, that would suffice. He stretched his arms high into the air and yawned, but just then someone tapped him on the shoulder. The tall man whirled around with a look of sheer horror.
"Uh, sorry sir...it's just..."
"Right. I know. Get back to work." The lowly man scurried off and Spade ran a hand through his wavy dark brown hair. Damn war... he was getting sick of all this killing for the fuhrer. When was this shit going to end? Now it was blasted foreigners who had the gall to question the power of Amestris. Damn Aerugese. This was so fucking pointless. He flicked ashes off his cigarette and took a long breath of the smoke, blowing it out into the humid air. "Alright, let's go." He positioned the radio to his lips and gave his crooked trademark smile. "All out~"

Scion was ordered to arrive to the remains of the South City and aid the Amestrian army in any way he could. After a long journey he finally arrived at the designated place and met up with the army's officers. Scion didn't really understand what was needed of him here, but the Fuhrer requested that he would be here - so he had no other choice but to obey. He had heard that War would be joining in too, but wasn't sure about the other Horsemen.

Death took his place in one of the first lines of their forces, since he was more of a close combat fighters. Though he had brought his customized magnum with him today. It was a weapon specially made for Scion, though it was nothing special - it simply had a higher caliber and was adjusted for easier handling and more distance for shooting. Scion could use it in both close and ranged combat, all while moving around in the fast manner of his.
Scion checked his gun and put it into it's "sheath", on the opposite side of the two swords.
The Horseman thought of this battle as a good chance to practise his skills, all the stealth and elimination missions made him good at close combat and one on one fights, but he rarely took part in major battles.
Scion looked around in his usual suspicious manner, looking for someone familiar in the crowd.

War strode through the Amestrian army like a ship’s prow through the sea, towards the front lines. He knew that Death was suppose to be here but he didn’t know where. His massive sword was strapped to his back. In full armor out to fight he was a sight to be seen. This is where he was most at home on the front line not slaving away at a desk. War was what he was called and war was where he belonged. Lucas had been finising up some of his reports that had backed up on him, when he got orders to move south to engage the Aerugese army down by the former location of south city, he threw on his armor, grabbed his sword and jumped on the first transport he could get down. Suddenly the call to move attack was called and War attacked with the rest of the army who had clear orders to stay out of the immedate area around War so he could use his sword to the fullest extent possible. As he rushed forward he smiled cause today was a good day for someone else to die. His sword came down on a random Aerugese soldier bisecting the poor man.

the man stood in the lines with all the others who had to come and fight. Kaoru hating large groups which made him feel odd and annoyed but it seemed he would be stuck with it for the time being with is regulation handgun with him and his broad sword which was made out of his own blood making him look a bit pale tucked in behind him through behind his studded belt so he did not have to carry it the whole sword being 1.2 meters in length all together it was just barely not scraping against the ground as he walk forward. Kaoru trying to put the image of death out of his mind so he would not be distracted by it.

Kaoru who was looking around to see how many amestrain personal were here seeing a person he knew Spade who was ordering the troops around. Kaoru new that the time to prove how strong he was and what kind of ma he was only being 17 he needed to live a life not have to cut short so he was going to fight hard in the up and coming battle.

"Ne ne Veilsamaaa~" Shura cooed and nudged the small creature in the ribs. "When can I attack, hm?" He quickly skipped to the other side of the prince playfully. "Ne ne~ I'm bored of waiting!" He coughed and looked away, tucking a piece of auburn hair back into his tie. It flared up at the top of his head like fire, making him look like the true, fierce steel blade despite his childlike behavior. It seemed the Amestrian troops from Central were moving in now and engaging their front line. It was making Shura, the god of carnage, but more anxious. His sword yearned for blood, and not the kind that was running from the corners of his lips. He quickly licked it away, hoping Veil didn't notice the onslaught of his tuberculosis. "It's not that obvious, ne Kurokurochan~" Shura patted the head of a black kitten he held his arms and smiled aloofly at it. He had found her in an ally way on their way there and insisted that he bring her. "Maku, she has your eyes~ she looks like she's going to kill me too." Why he brought the animal onto the battlefield, no one would ever know.

Continuing sniping the Aerugese soldiers White Fox and his group of mercenaries were surprised how smoothly it was going. White Fox thought this was probably because the Aerugese army had a total lack of leadership and wouldn’t know what leadership was even if it bit them on the ass. Things continued to go over smoothly until a man suddenly come out of no where and bisecting an Aerugese soldier. He probably did not know that there were landmines put underneath the ground, so because he stepped on one it exploded. “Wow what a dumb ass ha ha.”

After enjoying laughing at the man White Fox got serous. “Ok now it’s time to use the assassins.” When the mercenaries got White Fox’s orders they began throwing smoke bombs to blind the Aerugese soldiers. Then the assassins used the information they given about where the landmines were to get across safely. While they were doing that at lest one assassin made sure to cover their tracks so the Aerugese soldiers won’t find out the safe way to get across.

Once across the landmines the assassins used the darkness made by the smoke bombs to their advantage, because they were trained to fight in the shadows and the Aerugese soldiers were not. They use long knives and aimed for the eyes to stab the brain killing the Aerugese soldiers. They did this to avoid any armor.

Veil had been firing at the Amestrians when he saw explosions "Minesweepers forward. Delta Squad Launch covering fire." he said into his radio. With that command issued he whistled as a signal to Shura. He could now attack whenever he felt like. Veil then focused and leapt into the air. As he came towards the ground he changed the bases to a sort of spring so when he landed he bounced hire and literally leapt right into the ranks of the amestrian army. As he landed he began to slice and dice the men, but not with his swords. No, they were for special cases. What he did do was change his hands into saws and begin to hack them to pieces.

It looked like the Aerugese army finally showed signs of leadership not very good leadership but still leadership. They started to shoot covering fire but because of the smoke from the smoke bombs they were blinded so they didn’t even come close to shooting the mercenaries and even if they did the mercenaries would just use the sandbags as cover. Then the assassins saw the Minesweepers. The assassins could tell they were Minesweepers because of their equipment. Minesweepers couldn't see very clearly because of the smoke from the smoke bombs so they became easy prey for the assassins.

After the assassins killed the Minesweepers they took their radios and started to impersonate as the Minesweepers. Impersonating the Minesweepers the assassins used the radios to tell the other Aerugese soldiers what path to take saying that it was safe when it wasn’t. So one after anther the Aerugese soldiers where lead to their deaths explosions could be heard all across the battlefield. White Fox then saw an Aerugese soldier jumping in the air. “Boy that sure is stupid he can’t dodge an attack while in midair.”

Ordering his men White Fox had one of them shoot a missile at the soldier in the air with a missile lancer. Then White Fox’s men threw some more smoke bombs to keep the Aerugese soldiers blind.

War felt the explosion as it went off to the right of him engulfing him in the fire ball and throwing him 50 feet to the left landing on a group of unsuspecting Aerugese soldiers crushing them under his massive form. His sword flew through the air and pierced through another one. He stood up the blood on his armor steaming from the heat of the explosion. Where the wasn’t blood there were massive scorch marks covering his right foot and most of his right leg. His foot when it came down crushed the head of one of the Aerugese soldiers that he had landed on. War faced the direction of the Aerugese army and yelled out “Come on! Is that the best you have? I’ve had better fights from a ninty year old woman! You, Aerugese, couldn’t fight your way out of wet paper bag.” And with that War prepared for any more soldiers to attack him.

The smoke bombs that had been let off awhile gosince Kaoru had been neear the back of the amestrain troops had finally gotten to where the action should of been but by what Kaoru see there wer explosion marks along the ground meaning there mst have been mines or soem kind of bomb set off and Kaoru also saw a pattern of some kind in there so Kaoru using his wits which took him a bit but he manaed to have a rough guess on how fdar teh mines were apart by looking at the scorch marks made his way over the field of mines to where the real action was and as Kaoru saw their were next to no scorch marks left started to run and start his attack

Kaoru had taken out his sword form wher it was behind giern and placed the blade to his head as he did this a few aerugese soldiers about three stood around him. Kaoru started to speak to himself a bit but enough for the Aerugese soldiers around him to hear him " hmm i hope you guys have enbraced your dreams.......... becuase they are all that your going to have left "Then Kaoru lunged with his sword into the solider on his right then he turned his body then yanked his sword out of the man he stabbed tehn slashed his sord downward into the head of the second solider then Kaoru puled out his handgun and shot three bullets at the thrid man hitting his torso and killing him Kaoru kicked the man his sword was in forward.

explosions were going off in all directions the both amestris and Aerugese soldiers were being killed, and KAoru wondered to himself "i wonder whose is going to win" Kaoru then started running into groups slashing away at the Aerugese soldiers.

Scion looked directly below him. It seemed that some blood from a nearby dead body was flowing on the ground where he lay... and that was certainly bad. Scion had no wish for his cloak to be soaked in blood, so he moved himself to the left, without standing up over the barricade, which served him as a cover. He also pushed the dead amestrian away - so that there was no more chance of his blood forming a reddish puddle of liquid under Scion.
He looked over the battlefield, noticing a few more targets. He aimed his gun and made 4 shots, luckily 3 of them hit their targets, while the last one simply tore off someone's helmet. But was it really luck? Maybe it was skill - although Scion thought he had mediocre skills with firearms. It would seem his precision abilities came in handy here. He was no sniper, but tried to take wind into account.
The next moment he saw as one of the enemy soldiers, who came a lot closer than the others, due to his good use of cover, and threw a grenade towards the little barricade where Scion and four more soldiers lay. Death momentarily threw away the idea of shooting the grenade in mid air - it was almost suicide. As soon as it landed near, the Horseman lunged forth from his cover, changing his body stances with ease and threw the grenade back. Success! That Arugesse soldier had the last surprise of his life.
Alas it would seem that the decision to ignore the overall flow of battle was a mistake. A volley of gunfire pierced the smoke from the front, in some distance away from Scion. A few bullets hit Scion's left shoulder and side before he took cover again. It's been a long time since he felt pain...
Without wasting another second he quickly pulled out a mobile med-kit and began treating his injuries.

"Damn.... this will surely lower my battle efficiency... by somehwat 11%." - Scion muttered to himself as he treated his wounds. The soldiers around him paid no attention to his persona.

A thousand Aerugese reinforcements poured over the flat land where the battle had been commencing for some time. A black kitten was claimed to have been seen on occasion wandering about the fray, but its body was never discovered. Shura; carnage in all its meaning along with Veil's hard men destroyed half of Central's forces. The remaining half was plunged into by a volley of burning arrows. Shura smirked viciously to himself as he unsheathed his kiuichimonji and began beheading all foes within reach. He was barely out of breath before he found himself in the middle of the chaos.

Despite the fact that most fell easily to his katana, Shura could see few were skilled among those sent from Central. Figuring his best option would be to take care of them first, the wolf dog chimera romped towards a man in full-clad armor. He appeared the most menacing to the bushi surrounding him. Emerald eyes burned with unnatural flames as he slashed an invisible cut directly into the joints of the huge man's armor. "Let's see if this yields the sunlight."

[He's attacking war and that's a reaction to what he said^]

MISSION: Aerugo Invasion Empty Re: MISSION: Aerugo Invasion

Post by Aurelius Schwartz Mon Oct 18, 2010 8:17 pm

[OOC: Discussion CLOSED. If I see any more unethical objections I'm going to have to take action. We can't have this here. Spade controls Central's army and by all means Lucas does too, etc. Not one person controls it: we all do. Therefore, we can do what we will following the plot line already established by Veil long ago. Now, what I did isn't even a deciding factor in the mission! There's nothing to complain about; the objection is extremely pointless. Now move on. I'm trying to get this mission going and your complaining is not helping.]

[Versin: OOC: Shura your post is kind of ridiculous I mean you say that you and your man destroyed half of Central's forces, but when did that happen? Did it happen while they were trapped behind landmines, being sniped by mercenaries or was it when they were blinded by smoke bombs? I mean come on you can’t just say that you destroyed half of Central's forces; you have to WORK for it. Also this thousands of Aerugese reinforcements is completely unfair because you and Veil never called for backup and it would take a lot of time to send thousands of soldiers to anther county so it can’t just suddenly happen. So I think you should fix your post.

Aki: [ -sigh- I don't appreciate your attitude. When, you ask? Well, it happened in my post of course. (Central's forces are about 1/10 of Aerugo's so this is extremely plausible regardless of how many each individual character is killing). I see your point in how thousands of people can take time to reach South City. I'll revise it to a thousand to satisfy you. Also, it has been about a month since Aerugo has been mobilizing in the South, so yes, actually they've already been there waiting to ambush you. This is working for it. We have a whole strategic battle plan and this is part of it. I apologize to you and everyone for shoving it all into one post, but I'm trying to get the plot actually moving. Hell, half of Central's force is still left. You can still do something before the end. And don't fret too much...Briggs will be joining this thread soon... (even though they are going to get defeated as well...)]

Versin: OOC: What attitude I was just telling you facts. It doesn’t matter how big your army is you can’t just say you killed them. You have to attack them then let the rpger whose controlling Central's forces defend that’s how a RPG works. If you just say that you killed them without giving the other rpgers the chance to defend then that’s GOD MODDING.

Dai: But that's the thing, Versin.

Both Spade and Shura belong to AKI.

Aki has control over both armies, which means that she is allowed to kill them if she pleases. And besides, this has been premeditated, which means that it's going to happen. It was planned in advance, Versin. Maybe you should ask questions before shooting your mouth off about things that you don't know about.]

Spade flipped his lucky dice up into the smoke-filled air and caught it before it hit the blood-stained ground. What a disaster... What were the higher-ups thinking?! Half of Central's forces were already destroyed by the enemy and his small force of Amestrian soldiers only continued to dwindle. The sight was heart wrenching and despite Spade's unique alchemic ability, he could not turn the tides of a war ravaged by the masses. It was sad really...and it made him sick. It was all so fucking pointless. Something needed to be done... Retreat was on the tip of his tongue when all of a sudden an explosion killed all sound in his ears. He slid against the hard earth and collided with a blurry form that was somehow recognizable. Was that...? "K-Kaoru!?" He sputtered, wiping the blood from his face. His cigarette was now singed and one of the eyes of his sunglasses was broken out. He was so angry he just wanted to blindly charge whomever dared to blow him up, but his intelligence demanded otherwise. "Fuck!" He yelled, barely able to hear his own cursing. "I can't hear a goddamn thing!!"

[to clarify...Spade got blown up, collided into poor Kaoru, can't hear, and now has various injuries]

{OOC - I'm taking control of Veil for the time being - I've been given permission by his player}

The cold red eyes lightened up slightly as the Central forces were suddenly decimated by the newfound re-inforcements that had come from his Aerugese side. He grinned wildly, and laughed. Perfect, it was all going according to his plan. It wouldn't take any much longer, their victory would be perfect and absolute.

"I'll show you all... Aerugo has power that you cannot imagine!" His voice rang true over the sounds of gunfire and explosions, the dead bodies of both Aerugese and Amestrians, and he knew that nothing would stop them. Even if the Amestrian dirtbags received reinforcements themselves, it would be to bolster a tiny force. His grin was feral, and he pointed at the dwindling forces.

"Charge! Finish off the bastards! Artillery, fire at will!" The cannons that had been rolling up behind the army for a while now suddenly began to fire upon the Central soldiers with gusto. The cannon balls flew through the air, and began knocking down and killing several groups of the Amestrian soldiers.

"Kukuku..." Veil smiled darkly, the metallic sounds coming from his automail growing louder as he began to throw his head back. The laughter rang from his throat into the air, and with outstretched arms, Veil Awaikage knew that he'd won.

Riffel stood silently as wave after wave of confusion and noise spilled over his ears. He listened to the cries of violent soldiers and their screams of rage as they wrecked havoc across the battlefield. He sighed in unhappiness as he felt the life of so many people become extinguished right before him. Before he knew it, he heard the sounds of two soldiers coming in from either side of him. He quickly evaded the soldier attacking from the left and knocked the other one out with his jutte. "You keep throwing your lives away so quickly..." he mumbled to himself with a hint of sadness.

An explosion sound ripped through his eardrums and he quickly clicked his tongue just in time to avoid getting blown to pieces. "So violent! Man....do not want to become crispy fried today..." He looked around to find Spade lying on the ground and the smirk that was forming on his face dropped into confusion and concern. "Hey boss are you alright?" His face had a look of concern on it. He extended a hand to Spade, "C'mon ya can't die yet..."

MISSION: Aerugo Invasion Empty Re: MISSION: Aerugo Invasion

Post by Guest Mon Oct 18, 2010 10:34 pm

A deafening explosion shattered the earth and tore the ground assunder only a short distance from the nice little makeshift trench Josef had found on the Amestrian lines. The gray eyed scholar flipped the page of the heavy book in his hand titled "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. Clad only in a white t-shirt, his military uniform folded neatly to the side, Josef found this weather far too hot and this atmosphere far too hectic to think straight. Nothing was going according to plan at all, in fact, if he had any say in it, Josef would have avoided this whole damn frontal assault to begin with.

Josef took a bite out of his flattened ham and cheese sandwich and closed his book, carefully setting it inside a small bag with a few other peices of literature. There was no other option now, an organizedretreat would have to be executed with as little casualties as possible. On top of that, he would have to find a way to impede the steady advance of the enemy as well. Where was Spade? Normally Josef would run his tactics by the commander first before carrying them out, but this was an emergency.

"You!" Josef shouted as well as he could towards a nearby soldier, not used to speaking in a loud voice. "Please inform all officers that we will be retreating this instant, have a large batallion station themself to the east of our line and entrench themselves there with boxes of ammunition at the ready, station an artillery unit there as well to volley the field directly in front of us. We'll be retreating toward the east, please abandon all positions on the western end of the line, concentrate all troops on the east, please do not forget this." Josef spoke in a more polite voice than a commanding one. He wasn't the military type to begin with. "Yes sir!" The man replied, and he departed with a small group of others.

Josef called the another nearby soldier to his side without delay. "I would like all of the companies explosives places in the central-west section of our line, and I do mean everything we have. Realy this to the explosives technicians at once, tell them to rig it so that the stockpile should go off via remote detonation, do well to conceal these explosives." Josef politely asked this soldier. "Sir, yes Sir!" and he was off as well.

The plan? Simple enough to function. With all the armies firepower focused on the eastern end of the Amestrian line, the eastern half of the battlefield would be nigh unpassable, whilst the western and central sections would be left wide open, inviting the enemy army to attempt to flank the Amestrians, who would just appear to be fleeing the battlefield. When the larger portion of the enemy forces were crossing into Amestrian lines, the bombs wouldbe detonated and the enemy would be greatly slowed down.

Josef hustled to find Spade, ducking low to avoid enemy fire. Men were all over the place, dead, alive, or injured, it was chaotic. Josef spoted the familiar smug face of his commander out of the corner of his eye, but immediatly flet a wave of shock when he noticed that he had in fact, been injured. "Commander!" Josef shouted at Spade, to no avail, the Commander didn't seem to notice him. Josef ran up to his superior, grabbing his shoulders in desperate struggle to let Spade know of the retreat. "We must hurry! We need to organize the retreat or our men will be scattered beyond our command! We have to execute our retreat now!" Time was of the essence and a single mistake could end them all.

The who-what-when-where-how questions drew up to the surface of the commander's explosive-muddled mind. He grasped at straws and then realized it was dead grass. Dumbass. Ignoring everything for the time being, he decided he could really use a beer to take the edge off. The intensive ringing in his ears should be over written with the angelic voices of beautiful woman. The blood covering everything--booze. The dead bodies...passed out partiers. The explosions = the cranking of the bass. Hells yeah. This was more like it, but...reality was a bitch...and it was hard to admit, but none of his fantasies were real.

Stumbling drunkenly to his feet, the wavy-haired playboy grinned crookedly at the blue-haired dude he slightly recognized as one of his alchemists, Kaoru who he had probably bruised severely...oops, and...was that Josef shaking him wildly and shouting random things that sounded like a parrot screeching underwater? Emerald eyes blinked, trying to focus with extreme difficulty--he could almost feel his pupils shrinking and growing too fast for his brain to register. Fuck that. He glared at his black bloodied hands. What on earth had the Fuhrer been thinking when he sent a single force into South City like this?! They were being annihilated! Spade had never suffered such hard defeat...or defeat in general. It was ridiculous!! ...He was going to march to Central's front gates like this with his remaining men and give that failure of a leader a piece of his mind intact or not! ...If he made it out of here at all. Whatever Josef was mouthing now was right; Spade gathered bits and pieces from reading his lips. He found himself nodding. "I don't understand a damn word you're saying, but go for it! I'll follow." And hopefully it would be to a bar... or down the Fuhrer's throat.

Kaoru just being able to fight off soldiers of the opposing force but when the reinforcements arrived more and more of the amestrain soldiers were starting to get killed and at what seemed to be a faster rate which made Kaoru pull back at some point with his sword chipped. a explosion went off sending a large object toward Kaoru that object being Spade the leader of the amestrain force slamming into Kaoru forcing him into the ground which he slammed his head into the ground hard enough to knock Kaoru out and cause bruising and cause a large bruise on Kaoru's torso to where spade slammed into him.

Kaoru being out cold for a couple of minutes and starting to wake up noticed someone shaking Spade to wake him up Kaoru slowly getting up but his body was in some pain so Kaoru finally got up putting a hand to his head as he heard the order to retreat which he took seriously so he picked up his overly chipped sword which still could be used so he placed it back where it was before the battle started and retracted slowly with everyone trying to move fast but the pain in his body was making him slower but he still managed to get away with everyone to the spoken about area

a slight whistling and some random yelling was all the warning War got as katana glanced off his knee drawing some blood but most blocked by the angle of the cut getting stopped by his armor. War swung his sword down knocking the katana away as he turned to face the newest threat. “you're going to have to better then that to hurt me!” the look of the attacker was that of a... "what the hell are you? you look like a bad impersonation of a werewolf crossed with a failed samurai. Wolf is too strong a animal, were you crossed with a poodle?" War's fist lashed out and crushed the face of a nearby soldier in. War twisted his sword around and struck out with a wide slash towards Shura. “you're all bark and no bite, little poodle-man. That little toothpick will never hurt me if you don't have something to back it up.

"Hahahaha!!" Shura barked with laughter, a vicious grin shining on his lips. He fell back when his prized katana was hit away, dodging the spray of blood as one of his soldier's faces was smashed in. Daym. That had to hurt. Wincing inwardly at the shattered body, the wolfdog chimera raised a pair of emerald eyes back to the armored soldier before him. It was just in time, for the huge man seemed to want to turn him into mince meat now. Wasn't happening. Shura leaped into the air instead of going under it and missed the wide slash by only an inch below his geta. He landed gracefully to the side, the composed smile never leaving him despite the danger.

"It's a shame we're enemies; I'd really like to become your friend~~ You've got a great sense of humor." He giggled, swinging his kikuichimonji back around. "But stop joking; you're hurting my feelings~ I'm human after all." He smirked, eyes gleaming as he aimed another attack at the same joint in the man's armor. "...though only half."

When his attack was thwarted once more, he backed off, frowning innocently. His lungs were on fire--his chest burning as if it had been covered with oil and lit aflame. He felt it building--this drowning sensation, and it bubbled in his throat waiting to be let out. But this was war! There was no time to hold back and wallow in his weakness. He held his sword out in a defensive position and turned his head, squeezing his eyes shut. He coughed hysterically with a gloved hand over his mouth, and when he withdrew it his lips, chin, and neck were all covered with blood. The kikuichimonji was shaking slightly now, but Shura's eyes never wavered.

Scion continued trying to "snipe" enemy soldiers with his gun. Good thing it was a custom design, thought that brought a slight problem - the ammunition was custom made as well, meaning that Scion didn't have that much ammo left. He had a few clips - 9 bullets each.
But it would seem that the Amestrian forces were being beaten and Scion wasn't gonna stay here and die.

"Time to retreat." - Scion's voice was still as cold and emotionless as always. He felt no shame or anger at the gradual defeat of the Amestrian forces, all that mattered was his own life after all. And he lived for only one other person.
Just as he was going to make his tactical retreat, he saw War, battling someone - a Chimera, a creature made with alchemy. Poor creatures they were. Scion moved around the fighters as fast and as stealthy as he could, assuming a position from where he could easily shoot the enemy, without harming War.
Death "locked on" his target and fired 2 shots - one in the area of the Chimera's left knee, the other would hopefully splatter his brains all over the place. Scion hoped he didn't miss and began running towards the fighters, drawing his katana with his free hand:

"War - we have to get out of here..." - Scion decided to use "that" tactic. - "We will live to make war another day. Let's hurry."

After White Fox saw the Aerugese reinforcements he knew it was time to cut his losses. So he had his entire group of mercenaries gather together so they could retreat. Lucky for White Fox and the mercenaries, the Aerugese army focused on the Amestrian soldiers. White Fox and the mercenaries used this to their advantage and used the Amestrian soldiers as cover as they made their way out of the crater. While they were escaping from the battle White Fox took a radio from a dead Amestrian soldier.

When they had gotten out of the crater White Fox lessened to the radio. That’s when he found out that the person the Amestrian army thought was Father was just a decoy. “Those fools, I even stalled the Aerugese army so they could kill Father but it was just a decoy. I guess the old saying is right, if you want something done right you have to do it yourself.” White Fox and the mercenaries went to their cars that they hid behind some large rocks, then drove out of South City.
