Subterranean Wonders

Central city had many openings, many places to hide, so many places to disappear. People would not come looking, given these times of chaos, secrecy has become easier to maintain. So much easier to spread. The talons of darkness claiming domain more so than ever before in the land, as bloodshed had become the creed that made this city so.

Yet below ground the darkness holds truest, the shadows where no light reaches. Cables run, what few foundations held solid ever since the Fuhrer's disappearance made into inviting havens. No laws, nor regulations, ethics or morality, hold sway in this underworld. Humanity is optional in the nether realm of society itself.

It has been a few days ever since the war in Drachma. Wounds were healed after such a troublesome time, those which dwells in the mind. A Colonel claimed a rustic relic one may call a room, a cubicle dimension with many inconveniences. Tiled with white so pristine, yet spoiled by the presence of faded out red on the floor, and on a stainless steel operating table. Blood of the previous occupants from long time yonder.

A lightbulb shined from above, as the rusty pipes creaked and moaned, drops of water dripping on the tile by a corner, into such a nostalgic room for a Nikolaus Stuka. One that stank of death.

He was seated on a chair, inspecting the curious device known as 'iPhone' once possessed by Marismo, shuffling through the many messages and phone numbers in an offline mode, mindful of all the effects he emptied out from her. Said female strapped to the table with limbs spread out to the four ends by the leather, which holds her down, tightly, restraining her form to the operating table. Her wounds mended and stitched to a close, as she has been out for a few days. Hospitalized and spared of death.

It should be by now, that she awakens. With the light shining directly unto her face in such an alien and sinister location.
