Shots In The Night Empty Shots In The Night

Shit...Elizabeth thought as she darted down a narrow alley. The sound of heavy footsteps resounding behind her. The clamor of confusion and non-commissioned officers giving orders to the enlisted. Her face was plastered with sweat as she moved as quickly as she could. She gripped her side in pain. Blood trailed behind her, but in small patches. She was in bad shape, and to make matter worse she was in a foreign country. Shit shit shit. She had no idea Amestris was hiding such a unit, but she was not one to be taken lightly. She specialized in escaping with what she wanted. And in this instance it was her life.

13 hours earlier...

Aboard a train headed towards Central. Her contact had told her the target and what she was supposed to steal. An Intelligence Officer from Amestris had some pretty important data, data that Elizabeth wanted to get her hands on. She moved through the cars, looking for him. He would be dressed in civilian clothing of course, but the mannerisms of a Military Officer were an easy thing to spot. She passed a man and muttered an apology for bumping into him. As he moved around her, she moved in to check his pockets, it was at this moment she felt a blade at her throat. The words, "Don't move" were whispered from behind her. She froze not even fully turned around.

"Who are you? An Assassin from Xing or Aerugo? Or just a puppet of Creta?" He spoke in the familiar Amestrian dialect. Elizabeth smiled and let out a small laugh. In this position, she was at the most advantage. All his attention focused on using that hand of his to slice her throat if she moved an inch. She had already worked her way into his Qi system. He would have been better off trying to stab her in the beginning. "You've got it all wrong, Mr. Bond. I'm not affiliated with Xing, Aerugo, nor any other particular mix 'o letters. I'm what they call..." She replied in her own Amestrian tongue. She reached up and grasped his wrist, ducking downward while finishing her sentence. "A hired gun"

Her hand went to her side, grasping a small knife and aimed to take out his eyes in one fluid motion. However he dived backwards, only managing to cut his cheek, Liz sneered. This was going to be more fun than previously thought.

In the Present...

She bolted into a nearby house, and caused an uproar. She darted as quickly as she could to the upper floors and out onto the roof. She quickly darted between roofs until she was certain that she had lost them, at least for the moment. She moved under a small enclosure located on the roof, and rested her tired and wounded body.

Alex was laying on the roof of his ousin's Julio's house. He wondered why Julio had gone straight when he did but now looking at the house he had no worries about it he knew the reason. He had a few people renting and was taking care of his little neice today. suddenly screams were heard from inside the house and the entrence to the roof. He looked around and saw a woman wounded near the entrence. what is whith him always getting into these types of situations. Always dealing with odd people in odd situations. getting up from his spot he walked over to where she was resting. he was ready to act if she attacked. his gift katana strapped to his back. he then said You Alright there Miss? he then saw Julio open the entrence slightly from the corner of his eye. Julio placed a little bit of medical supplies. He thought back to how he used to get into trouble. her wounds seemed to be major on the outside but that might just be the blood staining her clothes.

Shots In The Night Empty Re: Shots In The Night

"You alright there miss?" Liz tensed up. Fuck she was followed. Not good at all. She attempted to get up and run, but her leg gave out from under her. Fuck! She was in a bad spot, and she needed to get away as quickly as possible. She grabbed a knife and was planning to throw it at him if he made any attempts to draw nearer. "Take...a single...step closer....and ah'll kill ya" She spoke in a ragged Amestrian tongue. Her dialect was somewhat foreign, having a hybrid Cretan-Aerugese accent intertwined with her words. Her face mask covered her lips, however, her blonde hair draped freely around her.

If they come up here in mass, I'll be screwed. I need to get away as quickly as possible. But if he tips them off to the direction. I have ignored all the teachings of the Sho Clan. First Shinobido: Be covered in Shadow, and stay thy breath...Lie in wait for your target to let down its guard. Second Shinibido: Be in sync with your target...Anticipate its thoughts and actions. Third Shinibido: Kill your target before it becomes aware of your presence. She had ignored them all in her ignorance. If she had kept to them, she would have been fine. Now she had to deal with this nuisance.

Alex looked at her and shrugged. She was very beautiful but she was someone who was injured. Dropping the Med Kit he said Yea Yea Yea Kill me after you bandage yourself up. When your done Come downstairs and if you need help ill be glad to give it. And while your at it you might want to come up with a story for why you barged into my cousins home. He Really dosent take to kindly to those who trespass as I hear. Though He probably pissed himself when he saw you so Get your story straight and we wont have any additional problems. He moved from where he stood and kicked the med kit over to her where it slid on a fil of water. Alex Then turned and began to walk inside stopping only to mutter Funny How The moon seems to stare at us all from up above. Its almost as if god himself was looking to see where everyone would go in the end.

She watched the Medical kit slide toward her, but she wouldn't touch it. She summoned all the strength she had, and stood up. He thought an act of kindness would make her trust him. Fat chance. Everyone was out for something, whether it be money, power, or pleasure. Everyone did something for some motive. She wouldn't accept this...no she couldn't. "As if I'd accept-" Liz just reached the peak of her stance when her body froze. The color in her eyes faded as she lost consciousness. She would fall forward, to her it would seem like forever, but the second her body hit the ground she slipped into a dream state. The damp cold floor resonated in her world. She lay within a damp corridor, with several open door frames all up and down the hallway. She slowly got to her feet and felt something nostalgic about all this.

Peering through one door, she could see her early childhood playing with her parents. Clearly before the civil war broke out. She pulled her head back and continued to look down the hallway. Seeing her times as a Geisha. The old man that tried to force himself on her, trying to claim her virginity for himself. She pulled out of that door as well, not wishing to relive that day. She quickly figured out she was walking the halls of her mind. She heard a whimper and a small amount of crying. She would follow the noise to a caged cell, and a small girl sat in the corner. Her pink dress damp with blood, her face hidden behind her hair, and her legs pulled closely to her body. Who was this?

Alex walked away waving his hand as he said Whatever your life not mine he then heard a thud as he got to edge of the door he turned around and saw her on the ground. he saw the blood around her wounds spilling out slowly and he thought he should leave her for threatening him but decided against is. walking over to her he looked at her before prodding her with his winter combat boots. He then rolled her over gently and sighed. He then bent down and picked her up. He carried her in a way that would aggrivate any other injuries the least. He then went into the house and placed her on the bed he was supposed to sleep on while he was here but he prefered outside for some fresh air. So as he did this he inspected some of the wounds on her body. THere were a few he noticed and got some bandages from the first aid kit. taking some anti septic he libberally applied it to the wounds with a cotten ball before wrapping each wound. he then left to let her rest. He stayed within earshot but was would probably be asleep by the time she woke up. When she did she would have a plate of food next to her and the door closed*

Shots In The Night Empty Re: Shots In The Night

Airi's eyes opened slowly as she stared at the ceiling. It was uniquely colored. Good. At least it wasn't a prison cell. She reached up to place a hand on her forehead, and met a aggravated pain in her side. She groaned, and clutched it. That wound was a bit deeper than the others were. She rolled over and noticed the food. The door was shut closed and food was present. Perhaps, she was being held hostage. If that's the case the food wouldn't be poisoned. She ate a few bites and quickly left the rest on the plate. She didn't have the stomach for food at the moment. No point trying to burst out of this place with half her strength, if they came in. She would be able to at least kill them in their confusion. Besides, she was being hid from Amestrian forces. Made little sense to run into their arms.

No no, it was best to stay here. She rolled over and brought her legs up to her chest. She crossed her arms over her chest and lay in the bed, facing the away from the door. She wasn't tired neither, but she needed to rest a bit more. She closed her eyes, and merely listened to the beat of the Dragon's Pulse. A splendid melody that all life played, and she was the maestro of the concert. Directing what chords should be played at what time. She reached into her mouth and after a few seconds regurgitated a small flash drive wrapped in tape. It seemed fine, but she would need to get to her lab soon. The sooner she had it in her mainframe the sooner, she could cast the drive aside and be free of it. So many problems of being someone who shouldn't exist.

Shots In The Night Empty Re: Shots In The Night

Post by Spotlight Wed Nov 16, 2011 11:04 am

Alex made his way up to the room after a couple hours. He was just checkin to make sure she was still alive. As he slowly opened the door he saw that some food was eaten. He peaked his head in further and saw she was sleeping on the bed. He closed the door behind him and further explained the situation to Julio and the rest. He then went back to sleep. His dreams were plagued by the usual death and decay he has seen as well as the possibility his brother was still alive and out there. He did see the little pirate drag him away but was he dead or just in a state of comatose unable to move until he was fully healed. He hoped the first would be correct as he didn’t want to deal with the death of more. As he woke up again he got a red apple to eat from the fridge and ate it as he went to check on her again and replace the bandages if they needed to be replaced. He went to the door and knocked and waited for an answer.
