Bang! Bang! Bang! Three shots rang out in the middle of the street, a white coat moving rapidly to the side as the man ran. Gritting his teeth, he placed his back up against a nearby wall, closing his eyes slightly and growling. Fucking... a hand flicked over a few motions, and a couple of deft swipes quickly reloaded the pistol. He had used too many shots in his run, he needed to be careful with what he did. Although his briefcase and rifle remained at his office, his shotgun was hooked over one shoulder, and his pistol was locked into place in his right hand. Grinning, he checked the glove that was covering his flesh, and let loose the Alchemy through the transmutation circle, watching a blue electric glow travel up his hand and into the pistol itself; it would modify the next shot. That next shot would consist of a P+ round, which would be strong enough to blow away most targets. He grit his teeth and stepped out from the cover that he was under for a single moment; it was enough for him to raise the pistol into the air, take aim and fire. The shot rang out into the air, and he turned back into the hiding spot, breathing out. He had to wonder, however. "Where th'hell is 'Becca?"

After their night last night, they had stayed in each other's arms for a while; and when Menoitos had finally gotten up, he had let her stay in the bed for a little while longer. He had a few leads to chase today, and one of them was with a certain gang of thugs. He hadn't planned on it originally, however they had proven invaluable before. This time, however, things hadn't turned out as he'd planned. His attempts at speaking with their leader went sour, and he'd had to get the hell out of there. And so, that lead to this. They had opened fire; Menoitos had buggered off out the front door with thugs on his tail. Once he'd gotten into a good area, he'd turned around and started firing back. Of course, that didn't help that they outnumbered him... thirty to him. He'd taken down about five men so far, however they were slowly starting to get brave. A couple of men rushed from the pack at him, and the shotgun was taken from his back. They rounded the corner; two shots were fired, both men fell into pools of blood. "D-damnit, where the hell is Rebecca?!" He returned the shotgun to its rightful place, and he suddenly pushed off from his spot, running out of the hiding place while quickly picking something up off of one of the thug's bodies. A fragmentation grenade. How... useful. Ripping out the pin, he held it for a second and then threw. They didn't even notice it, and the explosion made Menoitos chuckle. Why was death so... entertaining, sometimes?

Mmm.... What a lovely day this was turning out to be. Fantastic sex with a handsome man, the sun was out and--Bang! Gunshots? The sun was out and gunshots were ringing out in the street? What the hell... It was then that she realized how empty the bed was except for Menoitos' little kitten who meowed plaintifly at her. At least until she suddenly bolted upright and tugged the sheets around her naked body. It was rather amazing really since you'd think it'd be difficult to pull all of the sheets off of the bed and wrap it around her all in the same motion. And without disturbing the kitten too much! She had jumped off and run away somewhere though... Oh well. Rebecca bounded over to the window and peered out from behind the blinds, seeing that the street outside was quiet. Which meant the shots were echoing from elsewhere. Oh what had her man gotten himself into?!

Grimacing, she pulled on one of his trench coats and her boots as she bolted down the stairs, not really sure what she was going to do since she only had her pistol that she concealed in her boots. It'd be better than nothing though right? Who knew what kind of guys Menoitos had found himself battling at this point. It didn't sound like alchemists which was a relief to be sure, but where exactly where they? A rather loud explosion rang out followed by screams a few streets down, immediately breaking out into a run while ignoring how the cold air slipped up beneath the base of the jacket and well... It was cold ok? "The bloody 'ell did ye get yerself into Meno.." She mumbled, rounding the corner only to have to duck to the side to avoid getting shot. Aaaand there went Meno. "The 'ell d'ya do love?!" She called as she fired off two rounds, two more bodies hitting the snowy ground.

Spinning on her heel, she tore after him and fired a couple more shots, suddenly turning to the side as she saw a car off to their left on the street. Running over to it, she placed her hand on it and prayed that there was enough of an electrical component for this to work as she issued a single command to it. Go forward. The car sprang to life (thank god) and revved forward, Rebecca backing up before running after Meno. As more men started to chase after them, they were greeted by the front bumper of a car, letting out shouts as they got thrown. She couldn't help but chuckle as they ran away, looking forward to her man as the odd pair booked it. "Sorry fer bein' late love!"

"The 'ell d'ya do love?!" Well, there was Sleeping Beauty herself. With a smirk on his face, Menoitos looked at and gave a nod, before looking behind him in order to inspect the approaching thugs with a grimace on his face. Gah, they weren't giving up now, were they? Closing his eyes, he placed his head against the cover and watched the insides of his eyelids for a brief second. "I pissed off th'wrong people, I guess?" He chuckled, and shook his head before continuing on and watching Rebecca move the car into them. Gods, she had some useful Alchemy. And so, they ran. They fucking ran like stink. His footsteps pounded along the ground, and he grit his teeth, holding down his hat with a grin plastered across his lips. Time to party. "Sorry fer bein' late love!" He nodded, watching the approaching wall. Time to show off exactly why he was once Wrath, and to show that his time as a human was most certainly not wasted on small frivolities. He grinned. "'Becca! Hold'em off from here. I got me a date with a wall." He continued his speed up until the wall itself, before launching off of the ground almost vertically and placing a foot onto the wall, running a few steps up the stone and pushing off. He flipped through the air, and took aim with his pistol, grinning. Three shots went into the air, before Menoitos landed back on his feet, turning around and sliding the shotgun off of his back, aiming down the sight and firing twice more. Five men were on the ground in a matter of seconds, Menoitos suddenly diving out of the way and ducking around to where Rebecca should've been hiding.

"Hahah... that was fun and a bit more. Also... tell me there's somethin' un'er that damn trenchcoat. I ain't bothered if there isn't, but'ey." He bit a single lip, and turned out from the hiding place once more in order to see that there were no more men. He had dispatched five, and Rebecca had taken care of any stragglers. They had taken down the entire group, so they would continue on to meet their leader. "A'ight, follow me. I don't 'ave any armor f'r ya, save fer that trenchcoat. Kevlar weave, luckily f'r you." He smirked and started to walk at a faster pace, approaching the building he had just run away from, walking through the main door as if nothing would happen to him. "Oi, Wesker! Git down here! Ya men are dead, an' you 'ave no hope of gettin' out of this unless you gimme that info. Ya'know, the ones on the Cross Killer?" Footsteps boomed down stairs, and a heavyset man slowly trundled down towards the main hall. He grinned at Menoitos, and gave a booming laugh. "HOHOHO. YOU SEEM TO HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH THEM ALRIGHT, MENOITOS." He grit his teeth. This was going to be... fun?

"I pissed off th'wrong people, I guess?" That was a bloody understatement. These guys were determined as all hell to have their heads on pikes or something! Or at least be lying face down in a pool of their own blood... Though it wasn't like she was complaining, oh hell no! She loved a good thrilling chase once in a while, kept things interesting! Reminded her of how to feel that fantastic adrenaline rush that could be so delicious at times. A bullet whizzed by her ear and she could only chuckle, feeling like this was somehow deja vu from times in her past and it was just amusing to her. A wall was coming up and she blinked, glancing over to her love as he grinned. "'Becca! Hold'em off from here. I got me a date with a wall." Spinning about, she slid into cover and fired off a couple of shots, counting off in her head how many she had already fired. Ok so... she had ten left. That'd be plenty. "I 'ope the wall shows ye a good time!" She laughed as she fired off a couple more shots that went a little wide, her crimson eyes glinting against the sun. What a lovely thing to wake up to!

There was a shadow cast above her and there was Meno, flying through the air as chill as you please. Hehehe, aye she had found herself quite the man to be sure. What had she expected? He used to be Wrath after all! Somehow... it was really sexy to watch him in action, landing and blowing away the rest of their pursuers like they were butter. Thats my man. Chuckling to herself, she wore an amused smirk as she rose up when he approached her. "Hahah... that was fun and a bit more. Also... tell me there's somethin' un'er that damn trenchcoat. I ain't bothered if there isn't, but'ey." Ohhhh how would he react to that? Now now, she had to wave away her musings, they were obviously on work now! "Ain't got nothin' beneath this 'cept me boots. Take tha' as you will." She flashed him a wink as she gave another glance around as well, the cold starting to get to her now of all times. At least the trench coat was thick enough to... "A'ight, follow me. I don't 'ave any armor f'r ya, save fer that trenchcoat. Kevlar weave, luckily f'r you."

"'course love. Well I will take tha' as a blessin' 'en." How did she manage to slip herself into these sorts of situations? Talent probably. Yes, talent. So she followed after him while doing her best not to shiver too obviously, picking up a couple of pistols from the dead men on the street. Mmm, the police probably wouldn't appreciate that at all buuuuut oh well. They could deal with it. Was their job anyways. The building that they were walking to seemed nondescript enough, but she knew that was hardly it. Mob turf. It felt like she might have briefly glanced over information on them, but it was certainly in passing. It was just good to know where any potential mafia territories were in case she had to tread on any toes. "Oi, Wesker! Git down here! Ya men are dead, an' you 'ave no hope of gettin' out of this unless you gimme that info. Ya'know, the ones on the Cross Killer?" Wesker? Wasn't that a video game character? Heh, now she really was just letting herself get distracted. "HOHOHO. YOU SEEM TO HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH THEM ALRIGHT, MENOITOS." "Oi oi, 'ow about ye jus' give us wot we wan', an' then we dun 'ave to tear ye down. Sound good?" She called up to him, leaning close to Meno's ear. "If ye can get me ta 'is computer, I can see if 'eres anythin on i'."

"HOHOHO. YOU SEEM TO HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH THEM ALRIGHT, MENOITOS." Alright. Let us recap. Although this man is but a simple, plot-device of a character, he does have a few special tricks for us to understand. This man that we see before us is Gerthuld Reiner, or at least that's the alias that Menoitos knows him for. Tall, plain white and balder than a southerner's rear tyres, he looks and acts as stupid as he is. Unfortunately, he also has a shitload of resources, and a large communication network. If anyone knew anything about that damned Cross Killer, then this man would. "SO, MENOITOS. Who is this lovely lady that you're standing with?" Ah, so he had noticed Rebecca. Chuckling softly, Menoitos cocked his hat and looked up at Gerthuld with a smirk crossing his lips. "Partn'r." "Oh? I thought you worked alone." He looked back at her, smiled softly so that Gerthuld wouldn't see it, and then turned his gaze towards the larger man once more. "Spec'al case." The man shook his head and laughed. "The great Menoitos; the Wrathful Mercenary... taking on a broad. You must be going soft." Meno chuckled.

"Still 'ard enough t'take on yer wrinkly old ass." He grinned, and Gerthuld recoiled for a second. "Anyways, we go' business t'talk, capice?" He grinned, and walked towards the man, who suddenly held up a finger, pointing directly at Rebecca with a fat and engorged digit. "What'about'er?" Damn. The idiot had worked something out, for once. "Righ'... gimme a minute." He turned back to Rebecca, and slowly approached her once more. Leaning down, he placed his head beside her right ear and spoke to her, using quiet and dulcet tones. "I know for a damn fact that he can't speak Xingese. Now, his computer's in his main office, which is up the stairs that he came down. I'll lead him away, you do your thing." Leaning back up and clearing his throat, Menotos suddenly changed his tone of voice. "Y'hear me? You stay right there, or you won't be enjoyin' the consequences." Even though his voice was powerful, the eye that was staring at her was apologizing profusely. Turning away from her, he resumed a sharp gaze at Gerthuld, walking away with the man and rapidly discussing that which he was after, the "Cross Killer." What would be revealed? Menoitos wouldn't know until he found out...

So thats how it was eh? Sure, ignore the woman. Let the big gang man be a misogynistic ass. Not like she'd be rightly surprised. Sighing lightly, she folded her arm over her chest, suddenly aware of the fact that she wasn't wearing a bra underneath. Oh nipples you could be so..... Argh. "Partn'r." Aye, she was that. The mob leader seemed to be misinformed. He should probably work on his information department. She felt a smirk twitch across her face, "Spec'al case." "The great Menoitos; the Wrathful Mercenary... taking on a broad. You must be going soft." She had to laugh a little at that, shaking her head slightly as she let her hands hang at her sides. Ohhhh it was warmer in her than it was outside. Thank god....

"Still 'ard enough t'take on yer wrinkly old ass. Anyways, we go' business t'talk, capice?" That was her man. She started to walk a few steps towards the stairs, pausing at the finger that was pointed at her. Aw, no sneaking up for her. So how would she do this now.... Meno? Lowering her eyes slightly, she tilted her head in the direction of his voice, listening to his voice that whispered in one of her native tongues. "I know for a damn fact that he can't speak Xingese. Now, his computer's in his main office, which is up the stairs that he came down. I'll lead him away, you do your thing." "Done sweet cake." Truly she had found herself quite the catch. Ok.... So she'd have to give Edi credit whenever she finally got back to her apartment. Who knew when that would be.... "Y'hear me? You stay right there, or you won't be enjoyin' the consequences."

She saw the look in his eye and she pouted as she stomped a foot, "Aw but Menoooooistos.... Fine.." Sighing she looked down at the floor dejectedly. She waited until they were beginning to head away before she carefully slipped up the stairs, watching them with her crimson eyes all the while until they vanished from sight. With that, she darted up the stairs until she found what must be his office, glancing around for any guards. Oh what-bloody-ever. Biting her lower lip, she snuck inside and closed the door quietly flicking it locked with a turn of her wrist, her eyes immediately settling upon the computer on the desk. Alright, just one quick thing...... Her boots were quiet against the floor, for she didn't want to risk any of his lackey's coming out and realizing that she tooootally was hacking into their bosses computer. That might look a bit... bad.

Touching her hand onto the keys, she took a deep breath and slipped a flash drive out of a hidden pocket in her boot. Thank god for compartments... Man she missed her suit sometimes. Sliding it in, dove into the computer and seemed to zone out as she stared there at the screen. She was looking back through the last three days of memory, skipping over the porn and non-essential files that weren't relevant to what she needed to... find... Those that she found she directed towards her flash drive, copying them. It was like looking through a world of light, data streams flying by with little icons of code indicating things. Like her flash drive for example. It was a little box that was floating by her head. Move faster, move faster... God, Edi would be so quick at this.... She had to search through as fast as she could for if she was found? Man... that wouldn't be.... good. God, HOW MUCH PORN DID THIS GUY WATCH?!

About five to ten minutes later, she finally had all she needed, disconnecting with a gasp. That... was something she would never got used to. Checking her flash drive, she had everything, disconnecting it with a quick glance to the door. Footsteps? No... good... Oh thank god. Taking a deep breath, she slipped it back into her boot, using her one command to erase the trace that she had been there at all on his hard drive. Sneaking up to the door, she listened carefully outside, sliding the lock out of place and peeking outside through the crack. Coast was clear. Ok... lets walk slowly down now.... Darting back down the steps, she stood about where she had been, her heart racing in her chest. Adrenaline. An amazing thing it was. Rebecca was really beginning to miss underwear though....

"So, what did you have in mind?" The man chuckled lightly, and Menoitos turned a frustrated gaze towards him. He already disliked dealing with this fucker; he had to make sure he didn't turn around and start beating him into a pulp for acting like he did around Rebecca. No, no, he had to remain calm and collected, and make sure to ask his questions nicely. "Heh, y'should know a'ready. 'nyt'ing y'can tell me 'bout th' Cross Killer an' his MO." Gerthuld gave a great grin, and shook his head. "I can't seem to remember. Maybe I'll be... inclined to." The larger man's hand came out and started to rub his fingers together, indicating that he was looking to be bribed. "Y'don't say. Well, I was lookin' ta avoid this route, sorry to say." "Eh?" He sighed softly, and cracked his knuckles, turning around and planting his fist into Gerthuld's big-ass fuckwit face. Well, it had little to no effect, Gerthuld grinning wildly. "HAHA!" The monster of a man pulled back his own fist, and sent it flying towards Menoitos' face. The man ducked, and placed a hand into Gerthuld's gut.

---TEN MINUTES LATER---

Sprinting out of the door they'd gone out through, Menoitos could hear the sounds of gunshots coming in from behind him. Fuck, fuck, fuck!!! AH! Rebecca was there! Nodding at her, he simply grabbed her and tried to pick her up. "No time ta explain. We got fuckers wit' 'eavy ordinance on our tails, and they fuckin' mad." He got the info he wanted, at the expense of maybe bloodying up their boss just a little. He ran for a little longer, and then put Rebecca down, grinning at her. "Get anythin'? We can check it ou' back at th' offices." He breathed out, and started laughing. "Jesus Christ, I reck'n I'm gonna be findin' out the consequences o'me actions sometime soon..." He chuckled, and started walking towards the offices, looking over at her with a smirk. "Jes... be ready f'r anythin'."

....Ew. No. Stop looking at her like that. Goddammit she said stop looking at her like that! Rebecca was gathering all of her patience from its reserves as one of the bosses boys was eyeing her up in her trench coat and boots, her bare legs showing from just underneath the small slit at the front. "Oi, are your eyes stuck or somethin? I dun' like-" "Is that so? Gee, quite the different act from before huh?" The man was walking up to her now, and she knew that look in his eye. Shit, shit, shit.... She did NOT need this right now. "Wha? A girl can' be sweet around her man now is i'? I beg ta differ mate." She smirked and stood her ground, crimson eyes burning hatred as they bored into this creep.

"Oh sure... sure... So what have you got underneath that trenchcoat hm?" He asked as he placed his hand on her arm, the other hanging at his side. "If ya dun' remove your hand, I can' guarantee itll still be there. Ge' me?" She murmured softly, not moving as she continued to stare ahead, ignoring as he leaned close to her ear to whisper, "Make me." "Your funeral." She moved like lightning, grabbing his wrist and twisting his arm away, side stepping to allow his body to bend over as she brought her knee up hard into his chest. Then a quick downward jab into his spine with her elbow coupled with another knee to his chest? The man was out cold in seconds. She didn't like being touched by any other man except those she permitted to, and right now? The only one who had the right was Menoistos. And THAT was how it was going to be.

Speaking of... Her love came bolting down and scooped her up into his arms without so much as a how do you do. "No time ta explain. We got fuckers wit' 'eavy ordinance on our tails, and they fuckin' mad." Oh. Well that was enough. "Le's ge' the 'ell out of dodge then!" She murmured as he carried her off, gunshots ringing behind then. Once he put her down, she couldn't help but chuckle and nod, giving him one of her winks. "O' Course! Who d'you think you're talkin to?" She teased gently, knowing that Edi would enjoy looking through all those files. Yes, they were many BUT! Also good for business. There was plenty of people who were looking for dirt on people, or the mob in general. And she was in the business of information. "Jesus Christ, I reck'n I'm gonna be findin' out the consequences o'me actions sometime soon..." Now it was her turn to laugh as well while shaking her head, thinking back to the rather sudden awakening she had had earlier. With a light shake of her head, she smoothed out the trench coat and followed him towards their offices, wondering just which one they were going to enter. "Jes... be ready f'r anythin'." An eyebrow raised, and her amusement only grew, placing a hand on her hip as they moved. "I wos born ready darlin. You 'ave no idea." Ok, maybe he had some sort of idea given what he knew about her, BUUUUUT..... that was besides the point. "I jus' 'ope tha' those bastards back there, dun ge' any ideas hm? If they troied breakin in, they'll end up wit' some nasty surproises." Ohhhhhh and that would be fun to deal with... "So which office sweet cakes?"

"I wos born ready darlin. You 'ave no idea." He grinned and nodded. She was right, he didn't need to worry too much about her. Instead, he'd focus on getting the info to her office; she was the one with the fancy computer gizmo's an'shit. "I jus' 'ope tha' those bastards back there, dun ge' any ideas hm? If they troied breakin in, they'll end up wit' some nasty surproises." He chuckled. "A coupl' of'em. One of'em totin' nothin' bu' a trenchcoat, boots, a gun an'a smile." He grinned at her. "So which office sweet cakes?" That much was obvious. "Y'ers. You've got all tha' fancy shi'." He laughed softly, and carried her towards her own office, placing her down on the ground at the foot of the stairs and letting her lead. A sound rang out behind him, and the white-suited man stopped sharply, holding up a hand for Rebecca. "Wai'ere. I'm gonna che' i'ou'." Nodding to himself, he slid the pistol out of the holster and crept towards the base of the stairs, biting his bottom lip. Three steps, two, one... and he stepped out into an empty street. Huh. Turning back to the top of the stairs, he began to shout out his all clear. "S'alrigh' down 'e--!" A cloth muffled his face, and he smelt chloroform. Fuck... fuck... fu... ck... A hat dropped off of his head, fluttering down to the ground as a mark of his disappearance...

"A coupl' of'em. One of'em totin' nothin' bu' a trenchcoat, boots, a gun an'a smile." Ohhhhhh he had no idea, and it brought a laugh to her lips as she hugged a bit closer to him as he carried her in the cold. He was very warm and well, she appreciated it greatly right now hehe. If only he knew about all the traps that were set, all the armaments that Edi had set up.... By all rights, if the governments of Creta or Amestris knew what she had there, they might wish for an inspection (not that she could rightly grant it). Many of those things were her workings! She couldn't just let them take a peek! "Y'ers. You've got all tha' fancy shi'." Good point. Very good point. And then she could grab fresh clothes too. She'd pick up the outfit from his office at some point when they weren't getting chased by the mob. Since, you know, that was only MILDLY concerning.

And with that, they were outside her building, her crimson eyes looking upwards as they went inside. She really wished she could buy the whole thing and give it a make-over, buuuuut that wasn't going to happen. She had to use her well-earned money elsewhere. She began to head up the stairs, not really caring if he could peek up his coat or not, since he'd already seen all that was underneath. She stopped at the sound too, reaching down to pull out her small pistol before she gave pause, watching her love for his signal. "Wai'ere. I'm gonna che' i'ou'." She nodded once, but was frowning. She didn't like this. Looking upwards towards the floor of her apartment, she could practically sense Edi already prepping systems for nothing in this building escaped their surveillance.

"S'alrigh' down 'e--!" Immediately she was staring downwards, her training kicking in as she brought out her gun and stood ready, taking the steps quickly before pointing her gun in each direction only to find.... No one was there. No one at all. Just... Her eyes settled upon the lonely white hair laying on the ground, the wind threatening to blow it away before she leaped forward to grab it. Meno.... Glancing all over the ground, she saw signs of a bit of a struggle in the snow, and drag marks leading to tread ones. Although a smirk had risen to Rebecca's lips, only a burning rage was in her crimson eyes that seemed to roil like molten fire. So someone thought it was smart to kidnap her sweetie? Oh-ho-ho were they about to find out what a mistake they made... Bolting up the stairs, she wasted no time with pleasantries as she threw off his trenchcoat upon the door shutting of her lovely apartment, his hat still held tightly (yet delicately) between her fingers. "You seem to have a lack of-" "-Clothes. I know tha' Edi. Warm the guns, an' prep the fiends. We's go' a man 'unt on our 'ands." She strode into her bedroom and opened up the closet, pressing an invisible panel on the one wall with a quick code. With that, the back panel slid open to reveal her tactical gear and Spectre suit. You fuck with a Spectre, you just made a grave error. "I presume it is of Mr. Menoistos? I detected heat signatures coming from his office last night. Your blood pressure levels were rather-" "THANK YOU Edi. Now do your bloody magic already." She snapped as she pulled on her black gear, glancing over the weapons that were at her disposal. Oh he'd better be in one piece or so help her god she would level the entire block.
