BRIEFING:
→ Lyte does not use a simple transmutation circle. Rather, his entire body is covered in an intricate array of tattoos that form nine circles at certain parts of Lyte's body that are connected by patterned lines. The actual circles are located on Lyte’s head(1), chest(1), shoulders(2), back(1), palms(2), and feet(2). Using the tattoo, Lyte does not have to waste time drawing a circle, instead being able to use his alchemy by either snapping his fingers, or waving his hands, similar to how Xanthus himself previously used alchemy. The reason that the circles are in nine different areas with lines connecting them is that the alchemic power needs to be able to flow smoothly throughout Xan’s body in order to effectively operate. Xan's alchemy operates by manipulating gravitational fields through the manipulation of gravitons [In physics, the graviton is a hypothetical elementary particle that mediates the force of gravitation in the framework of quantum field theory], enabling the use of his various gravity-themed abilities, including manipulating the graviton particles in the air to a certain level, either focusing them all on one point to make the gravitational pressure increase around that specific area, or moving/breaking apart the graviton particles to lessen the gravitational pressure around the specified area...

SPECIAL ABILITIES:

→ Graviton Distribution Technique: By manipulating graviton particles around bodies of mass, Lyte can (to some extent) manipulate objects around him. This includes stopping bullets mere inches away from his face and redirecting them, removing large obstacles from his path (think moving a boulder), and in the case of a rainstorm, preventing himself from getting wet by making the raindrops 'fall' the other way. However, in the sense of not being considered OP, this ability is limited by two things. Lyte can NOT DIRECTLY 'manipulate' a human being except for himself, and this is because humans all exhibit differing Gravitation wavelengths that would have to be throughly studied and memorized, and this is only something that Lyte has done for himself. The only thing that the Alchemist can do to guard himself against a human would be to condense Gravitons into one of his hands and throw it at his enemy to 'blast' them away, though it would be more like a push than a blast. Secondly, Lyte's manipulation of objects is affected by the specific gravity of the object; objects that have low specific gravity are obviously more easily manipulated than objects that have high specific gravities. And some objects are simply too 'heavy' to be moved by Lyte.

I'd say that you should probably be careful with this now that Lyte's no longer a Bearer, and maybe that it should take something of a toll on him - stopping bullets like crazy in front of his face should eventually get tiring, as badass and Keanu Reeves as it is... but I trust you on this front, Xan. So long as you don't go overboard, I see no reason for you not to be approved here - you know your stuff.

Just gonna wait for a reply on the other app before I judge here, too.


EDIT: Apparently you've been told to cull the gravity stuff cause Lyte no longer has alchemy full stop.

REVISE/ADVISORY

- Because you are actually using a hypothetical field of gravity, which isn't explained quite well aside from just a few fluffed up lines, myself and Izzy would like you to read about the Quantum, Classical (Newton), and Standard (Einstein) Theories), and gravitrons as a hypothetical particle some more. To actually get the idea about them and how they work. Gravity is the strongest force in the world and the weakest at the same time.

- Using pasted words from wikipedia does not fully explain how you come to grasp gravitons even, something intangible in force and hypothetical, it is an explained mechanic so far, so you better make sure to use transmutation for actually transmutation. Not physics bending. Change it to become plausible instead.

- Four abilities in one isn't allowed. That is absolutely denied. As I actually put in as followed, increasing the weight of the object, decreasing it, deflecting incoming projectiles, changing directions even of said projectiles, and imparting kinetic energy into them. The last one doesn't actually involve gravitons, it is an ability to do with kinetic force. This is a level 1 ability, something that shouldn't be this loaded. When you get an ability, you get exactly one that befits level 1 ability.

Your application should be edited by myself when deemed necessary, and you'll know of the changes. Consult me or Isabella/Dietrich when it comes to these abilities, and we'll give you proper responses in turn towards how to making your transmutation application acceptable should you be finding yourself unaware of the standard to which you go upon, but I'll let you know that this will take quite some effort to turn this from unacceptable to quite acceptable. A simple PM to either of us will do. Now appropriately revise your alchemy under these clauses given, and I'll take another gander at it.

Ugh. I'm disappointed, right now. Izzy, Niko, this ability has previously been allowed and used, by multiple characters. As long as Xan knows how to restrain himself, he would be fine with being allowed to use this. However, that is not quite the case. Yes, there is something to be said for the amount of actual techniques that can be counted, as well as the way they happen. For that reason, I will say that this ability itself is deniable. Xan, you need to work out exactly what you want. The simplest idea that I can gather is creating a small, localized area of effect, reducing the technical gravitational pull and lowering the newtonic weight of each object within. This would allow for Lyte to pick them up or move them with ease, and probably reduce the speed and damage of projectiles, due to decreased weight, though not much else would occur. So yes, I partially agree with what Niko has to say.

However, Niko and Izzy, do not think that I'm giving you two the overlook. Izzy, you tend to go sorely out of line when you see something that's got potential to be OP. You crop up arguments that just serve to piss people off, and change nothing. Niko, you should've consulted someone. No, you shouldn't have even brought Izzy's name into this. It's bad practice, using member's names and opinions within a situation such as this, as it gives the impression that a Staff Member does not know what they are talking about. In fact, if you hadn't brought Izzy's name into this, I probably would've reacted differently to it.

Anyways, Xan. Since this app isn't needed for a Bearer, I'll move this to Archives. I'd like you to consider refining it, or possibly simply changing it FROM Gravity. It'd make all of our lives easier. ^^;
