Bill Nye The Science Guy....SCIENCE RULES!

A lone female stood within the secret backroom that was under The Doctor’s Shop. Her hair is semi-long (reaches about the backs of her upper thighs) and semi-straight as a board. She has some long bangs that frame her heart shaped face perfectly. Her eyes are a deep red color, almost the color of a ruby in it’s natural form before it’s polished and what not. Her hair is golden as black as a raven’s wing. Her ears and tail are a dark and deep black color. The fringes of her ears and tail are a mixture of grey and white. Her skin is slightly tanned and smells of pumpkins. Her voice is moody yet husky sounding as it is in the other seasons. During this season, her clothes appear to be either torn or bandaged together. She wears a huge black collar with a silver buckle on it around her throat. Attached to this collar is a long chain that rattles around with each movement she makes. She has white and grey colored bandages that are wrapped around loosely around her arms and her whole stomach area. Her top is a dark purple color that has the bandages go over one another up to her collar. Then she has a purple skort on that is a deep red color underneath and it torn and ratted at the edges. Then she wears dark red boots that goes up to her thighs and has holes near the top.

She was walking around in the secret room, which was The Doctor’s Lab. She was actually doing something important down here. She was getting different instruments ready for a dissection that was about to happen. On a large table in the middle of the room was a dead body with a tarp covering it. The body belonged to a failed attempt of a Chimerae. It was a male and the animal that he was fused with was some kind of bird. “Poor guy.” She said under her breath as she shook her head some as she finally got everything ready for The Doctor when he arrives. She went and tied her hair back, wash her hands, then but on a lab coat as well as gloves before she came back to the table and stood there waiting for her fiancé to appear so that they could begin. "Come on, Jack. Where are you? You promised." She said as she looked around some. She was excited and was looking forward to this as it was one of the ways that they bonded with each other.

Rotten flesh seemed to permeate the air. It seemed to cling to everything around and seemed as it would stay there for the rest of time. What was the cause you ask? Well the cause was simple. It was the decaying corpse in the center of the room on a metal gurney. Foot steps echoed throughout the room as the sound of shuffling grocery bags seemed to fill the air as well. The steps became closer and louder as well as the shuffling bags. Soon a man appeared from a stairway and walked at a break neck pace to the gurney. Setting the bags a few feet away they fought the corpse for superiority of smell as they wreaked of dead fish. Yes, The man had brought dead fish to the lab. in the other bag however was Xingeese food. A box of General Tso's chicken and a bog of dirty rice. Walking over to the sink, The man washed his hands and put on surgical gloves. Walking back to the gurney he grabbed a scalpel and placed it on the chest of the chimera after removing the tarp. He pressed it against the skin and dragged it along until it reached the stomach. He made the standard "Y" cross section as in most autopsies. Laughing a bit he folded open the "flaps" of skin and gandered at the inside. It was somewhat like the other humans however this time it had something that was rather odd. It seemed that the avian part of DNA had created several sacks of which were poisonous to the human body. It was this fact that killed him. The poison was then extracted and placed inside a test tube and given to Carmen. He spoke softly as he did this.

"Please, test this for the properties."

After he motioned to the bag of dead fish and spoke again.

"There is your lunch by the way foxy."

He used a calm and almost sharp tongue like usual. however he meant it with love and even called her a name that was more or less a private joke. He laughed a bit more and sliced an organ from the body. Blood spewed some as it responded to that and the man placed it in the metal container. He preceded to take a poison sac and place it in a jar of preservative to use later. It was an interesting time indeed.

The smell of rotten fish plus that of Xingese food caught her nose instantly. She smiled widely as she knew that The Doctor was home finally. She murred softly as she wagged her tail some out of happiness. She was trying to keep her enthusiasm to a limit. She didn’t want to knock over anything or break anything within his Lab. He would be angry with her if she did. She had her eyes trained on the stairway. She was just waiting to hear and see him. She started to get more and more excited as the noises he was making was getting louder as he came closer and closer. She smiled brightly at him when he was finally in her line of sight. She was so happy to see him. Someone from outside of their relationship would think this was a master and slave relationship. But it is not so. She smiled and murred again softly as The Doctor moved about the Lab. She could watch him all day and not get bored of his movements. She blinked some as she looked inside of the corpse of the failed bird man Chimerae. She tilted her head to the side some as she noticed the sacs that were within the body that wasn’t usually there. Her nose wrinkled some as it smelled deadly and poisonous to her. The sacs were no doubt the reason why this Chimerae experiment failed and died horribly.

She smiled at him as he gave her a test tube that was filled with the poison that was from the sacs. “Okie dokie.” She chimed happily as she took it and held it carefully as she moved to another table nearby where she would be able to test it for the properties of the poison itself. “Thank you, Doctor Love. You are so good to me. I’m glad I fell into your trap.” She said with a bit of a blush as she smiled. She called him by one of the names that she calls him when they are alone. She smelled blood before she heard it spew, but not once did she look up from her work. She continued to work on the poison sample she was given, quickly writing down what she saw and believed the components to be.

The man in the lab coat was smiling some and continuing to tear apart this chimera inside out. He placed a few things on different metal containers that seemed to be useless, dangerous, or just plane odd. Somethings even this man has never seen in his life time. New creations that seem to elude as to their purpose. but that doesn't stop him in the least. He continues to work and take apart. Several known things have been found and thus cataloged and taken out. As he took out these things he placed them in a jar of known organs and called off. He pulled out several organs such as, a spleen, a liver, lungs, a second stomach, a first stomach, and a large colon. However some things that were not recognized were things such as those poison sacs. Assorted pieces of both animals fused together but never truly working. The man in the coat sighed and rebutted to his sigh with a small laugh as it hit him what she had said. He had taken the body almost completely apart from the inside by now and felt it was time for a break. Taking off the gloves the proper way, he first took hold of one glove's opening and pulled it off that way. next he used his uncovered hand and grabbed the opening of the other glove using the glove taken off and took that glove off. Throwing them in the canister next to him he walked over to her and palaced his arms around her a moment. Stealing a small kiss on her neck he spoke.

"Foxy, put the test tube down."

Was all he said as he grabbed a hold of her chain with out warning and with enough time for her to place the tube down. Tugging on the chain he led her to a gurney at the other end of the lab. Sweeping up and taking the two bags with them. He placed the bags on the gurney. From there he took several fish out and a sterile scalpel. he preceded to slice up the dead fish one after another. There was maybe ten fish he sliced up before he put them o the plate and put the sauce on there off to the side. He placed the plate in front of Carmen and said one word as he took out the xingeese food and started to eat it.

"Eat."

Carmen smiled as she continued to work on the test tube. She was finding quite a few similarities with other poisons she has seen. Yet there were a lot of differences as well. She placed the test tube down for a moment before she walked off. She moved over to a shelf and pulled out a lab notebook. She opened the notebook some as she made her way back to where she had the test tube. She placed the notebook to the side and started to flip to the pages where the poisons they had known about are. She then started to look from the notebook to the test tube. Then back and forth. Doing this all while she was writing down a report of some sort for him to read over. She made sure to put in as much detail as she could. Every now and then she would look up to see what he was doing. He seemed to be enjoying himself in ripping the failed Chimerae apart. She smiled some secretly to herself when she heard him sigh a bit before he started to laugh a bit at what she said. She was almost done writing and messing with the test tube when she heard the sounds of The Doctor pulling his gloves off.

She smiled widely and murred when she felt his arms be placed around her for a moment. She giggled some as he stole a small kiss along her neck. “Hehe. Okay Doctor Love.” She said with a smile as she placed the test tube down. She then also took off her gloves the same way he did before she threw them into the trash. All before he tugged on the chain that connected to the collar around her neck. She smiled and followed him to the gunnery at the other end of the Lab. She took a seat right beside him as he took out the dead fish. He then started to slice them up for her before he placed them on a clean plate with sauce. He then placed it in front of her. “Thank you.” She said with a smile as she kissed his cheek before she started to eat her meal.

He spoke not a word. However he was not too please with the outcome of the results of the autopsy. He was more than displeased. Hell, he was so pissed at the results that e wanted to just stop and go dissect a living chimera that he had ever seen (yes a reference to the fight with Zaska and Doc) then to continue doing this. However, he did anyway because he was on a break through with this. He felt as though he was getting ever closer to being the one who could fuse a bird with a human. But this would not make them perfect, no.

It would result in a whole lot of failures. However the combining of a bird and a human are possible to bring about a new age of success. As he ate he was thinking of how to take apart the poison sacs with out causing any kind of spill or hazardous problem to occur. This was in part because of his feelings he keeps somewhat locked away. He did however smile at her calling him Doctor love, even though he rarely smiled anymore unless it was for a reason more sinister than dissection. Somehow it was like dissecting his own experiments were losing their charm. But other's experiments and people for that matter.

After he tugged a bit on her chain to tell he that he was returning to work. He covered the body with a tarp and took one of the poison sacs and placed it in a special bio protection lab table. From there he placed his hands inside the special gloves and started to slice apart the sac. It released a fume of poison and it was clear now that it would be a good think to use.

If he could break down the structure of it, he would be able to modify it as an air born pathogen and incapacitate others with it even for a second it would be useful. He loved to work like this, with his fiance' and his lab all at once. He was in heaven now and no one could stop him.

Carmen stayed silent as she ate, as she knew how much The Doctor loved his silence whenever he was in the Lab. She kept her eyes on him though and she could tell that he wasn’t really in the best of moods. No, he was pissed because of the outcome with the ripping apart of the bird man Chimerae. As she continued to eat, she was thinking to herself on how exactly to make him get into a better mood. To her, she felt as if he needed more reasons on why to smile and everything. She knew that she was one of those reasons on why he smiled but she still thought that she wasn’t enough to make him smile at times. She looked from him back to the table where she had the test tube, the notebook, and her own report on the poison that were within the sacs that were found within the deceased Chimerae. She hoped that what she wrote down and found out would help him in a way.

She blinked some as she felt another tug on the chain that led up to her collar. She knew that this meant that he was going back to work. She should as well. She nodded and quickly finished the rest of her food and threw the trash away before she went back to her table. She looked at where she left off and she was quickly back to writing. After a few moments, she was done with her analysis of the poison and she puts the report to the side. She then closed the notebook and went to put it back where she found it so that they might use it later for another experiment. Or perhaps to catalogue what she found within the poison within those sacs. She picked up the report and started to move to where her fiancé was. “Doctor Love? I finished my report on the poison. It’s quite deadly when compared to the other poisons we know about.” She told him with a smile as she watched him work at the special bio protection lab table.

"How, odd. This is almost, Enchanting. Hahahahaha. Well this is good. It seems the poison in a liquid state is more concentrated than in an airborne state. Although that is to be expected but not at this quantity. This is relatively impossible."

He thought for a moment and his eyes lit up, his mouth curled devilishly and his hands removed from the gloves. Taking the report he analyzed it closely. It seemed as though the poison worked much like a snake's. To be specific the proteolysis versions of venom. It seems to break down the cells of the surrounding tissue and even decompose that part of the body. The effect, if caught in time, would be easily stopped but if it wasn't it would spread and essentially decompose the body while it was still living. It was truly a rare poison indeed and only one other like it. It was something that would have to be put away in case something happened. He turned to his Fiance and looked at her straight in the eye and said three words that would rarely come out of his mouth.

"I love you Carmen."

Ok, so it was four but still. Anyway from there he kissed her on the lips and trotted over to a shelf where he paced the report and smiled because he had found a new toy to play with. He would no get to see something decompose as it was living. a true act of nature not normally visible to. It was a rarity that he loved so much, he would cherish his love for finding it. He trotted back over to her and looked her in the eyes. His smile blood thirsty and devilish like always. And he suddenly and unexpectedly took her in his arms and bend her over. Her back laying on his left arm and he kissed her on her lips and all seemed to be right with the world. Standing her and himself back up he marched over to the gurney where they ate and sat down thinking a bit but happier than since he got to dissect that chimera.

Carmen smiled as she looked at The Doctor when she told him the good news. She smiled wider as he spoke then when he started to smile as his eyes became bright as he started to think. She gave him the report when he reached for it. And just stood there as he read over what she wrote. Her ears were twitching some and her tail wagged a bit as she waited for his final assumption on the report. She blinked when he was done with reading her report. Then turned to her and looked her in the eyes. She smiled widely and blushed as she heard him say those three words that he rarely said to her. But that’s okay since she knew he loved her. He didn’t have to say it constantly but it always did make her feel better and more secure when she heard it.

“I love you too Doctor Love.” She told him with a murr in her husky voice as she looked at him back straight in the eyes. She murred louder when he kissed her on the lips, she kissing him back, before he went over to a shelf to put the report away. She smiled at him as he moved back to her. She gasped some when he suddenly took her in his arms and bent her backwards. She murred again loudly as she felt him kiss her on the lips again, she kissing him back before he stood them both back up straight. She couldn’t help but giggle as he moved to the gunnery where they ate their lunch at. He then sat down over there and started to think. She moved over to where he sat and sat beside him. She nuzzles her cheek against him some, silently asking to be petted. Not only did it create a stronger bond between them but she knew that it helped him to think.

As she nuzzled, and he thought, he instinctively started to stroke her head and scratch behind her ears. It helped him think at times when he needed it most and it seemed as though it was a ritual. He smiled some as he did this and felt content doing it. Almost as if he was meant to do it right then and right there. In the end it was the stroking and scratching that lead him to this next idea. I he were able to use that poison on a live subject in a modified state then he would be able to observe the results perfectly for how well it would decompose and kill. But he was almost too ashamed to try as it would waste the sample if it was not up to par with his hopes. Then again, he would have an understanding of how it worked and was able to produce more cells if needed. It was really the problem of getting a body to do it with. But Zaska was soon due for blood and with that he would be bringing a body most likely. That or he had to find an alternate way of getting things. He heard of an Ishvallan alchemist dog that may be willing to work for a price. It could have benefits but he would only know if he tried. Inadvertently Te Doctor had stroked her with out knowing in an awkward way. He stroked from her head, slowly down her back and then glided his hand, holding her tail, until the tail fell out of his hand. One time he did this, he accidentally tugged on her tail. But he noticed not and continued to stroke her this way.

Carmen smiled as she started to murr from the touch of his hands on her head and ears. She slowly started to close her eyes as she gave him more of her head and ears to touch and scratch. She was very content with this, she would love to do this all day if he ever wanted to do so. She was one who loved the basics, she didn’t need anything expensive to keep her happy at all. She continued to murr louder and more the more he continued to stroke and touch her. She was soon falling asleep like a fox would, moving closer to him as she slept. She moved even closer to him in her sleep when she felt him start to pet her in a different way. He was moving from her head down her back to her tail this time. She lightly yelped, opening her eyes and jumping a bit when he accidently tugged on her tail. But she soon relaxed and went back to being curled up on his lap as he continued to stroke her, murring, but her eyes were open this time as she just silently watched him. She would kiss the back of his other hand lightly before she followed a scar there with one of her finger tips.

As he lied there he couldn't help but think things that he wouldn't normally think. First was things about Carmen and how beautiful she was. Hell, he knew he loved her but he rarely said it. Stroking her hair with his right hand he felt her move her nail up a scar and he couldn't help but smile. For an odd reason with Carmen, he never would think long about his most favorite thing with poking and prodding people or animals but rather spending time with her. Even the darkest and gloomy of days he would wander aimlessly in his mind towards her some how. It's not that he didn't like it but it felt foreign to him. For him, the only things he loves before her was his dissection of other creatures. He would only think of her and nothing more at times. It boggled his mind but yet, he felt happy and comfortable there. He would never tell her but he did. He started to stroke her softy and gently going from her head to her tail and back again always repeating it. His left hand then lazily scratched just behind her right ear and he let out a small smile before he leaned up and kissed her forehead and whispering those three words so that they were barely audible. His way of showing affection it seemed as he rarely came out with it.

Carmen smiled as she saw him smile from her touching one of his scars. She took her nail away and instead started to kiss along the length of his scar, then followed by her tongue. She murred more as he continued to touch and stroke her. She was enjoying his pets more and more as she started to crawl onto his lap some so that the middle of her stomach was on his lap. She blushed a bit when he scratched just behind her right ear. That was her weakest spot when it came to petting and he knew fully of that fact. She murred more and starts to arch a bit into his hand and touch before he kissed her forehead. She smiled and kisses him gently, blushing as she did so, before she kissed the scars that were on his face and neck. “I love you too Doctor Love.” She told him with a wide and warm smile as she nuzzled his neck and curled up closer to him. She was enjoying this rare showing of affection while he was still in the mood to do so before the lab gets his interest again.
