BRIEFING:

Note: Amico doesn't carry all those weapons at the same time, but keeps two hold out weapons that being the pistol and the knife, but otherwise tends to carry the shotgun more often than not. The sniper rifle only carried during important situations requiring finesse.


→ UBN91: N91 pistol is locked breech, short recoil operated pistol that uses rotating bolt locking. Most parts of pistol are made from stainless steel. Barrel has a large tubular extension which contains cylindrical bolt with radial locking lugs. Upon recoil, bolt is rotated by the fixed (but removable) pin, inserted through the frame into the curved slot, made in the bolt body. At the rear, bolt is fitted with cocking knob that projects from the back of the barrel extension and has gripping serrations. Dual return springs are located below the barrel, in cylindrical channels at each side of the frame; spring are connected to the bolt via two recoil rods. Another unusual feature is the bolt recoil accelerator, that, after unlocking, transfers the energy of recoiling barrel to the bolt, thus improving reliability of the weapon. Trigger is of single action type, with exposed hammer and frame-mounted manual safety. Barrels are easily interchangeable, and since both .357AMP and .44AMP cartridges have same case head dimensions, change of calibers requires only installation of appropriate barrel. There were many variations of N91 barrels, with or without sighting rib, with various lengths and profiles. However, fully adjustable sighs were standard on all barrels. Often it has .44AMP rounds, and rarely interchanged for .357AMP. The gun itself is worn on the right side for the holster, it is often concealed underneath Amico's suit, and uses .44AMP rounds instead of .357AMP. It is a hunting pistol notably, and is meant to shock and take down targets with a high hydroshock effect. Surprisingly it features a tame recoil, and has seven rounds often in the typical clip. → Boomstick: Produced in many calibers and modifications, most popular are 12 gauge Homeland Security model with fixed stock, and Stakeout model with pistol grip, and shortened barrel.

Ithaca 37 shotguns feature a patented bottom-ejection Browning system, which protects against ingestion of dirt, debris, snow etc. and contributes to a shorter receiver and lighter weight and allows for ambidextrous handling. Reloading occurs through the same ejection port. These shotguns are strong enough to withstand 3" magnum shells (newer versions only, which Amico possesses). All Ithaca 37 shotguns are fitted with either a simple bead sight or a Raybar front sight. The particular designation of Ithaca Amico uses is the Stakeout one. 12 gauge, 5 rounds. His Stakeout though is modified with a different grip in particular than the pistol grip (as the picture would illustrate.)


→ Papa Gun: The M82 is the predecessor M107. When the gun is fired, the barrel initially recoils for a short distance (about 1 in/25 mm), being securely locked by the rotating bolt. After the short travel, a post on the bolt engaged in the curved cam track in the receiver turns the bolt to unlock it from the barrel. As soon as the bolt unlocks, the accelerator arm strikes it back, transferring part of the recoil energy of the barrel to the bolt to achieve reliable cycling. Then the barrel is stopped and the bolt continues back, to extract and eject a spent case. On its return stroke, the bolt strips the fresh cartridge from the box magazine and feeds it into the chamber and finally locks itself to the barrel. The striker is also cocked on the return stroke of the bolt. The gun is fed from a large detachable box magazine holding up to 10 rounds. The receiver is made from two parts (upper and lower), stamped from sheet steel and connected by cross-pins. The heavy barrel is fluted to improve heat dissipation and save weight, and fitted with a large and effective reactive muzzle brake. On the earlier models the muzzle brakes had a round cross-section; later M82 rifles are equipped with two-chamber brakes of rectangular cross-section. The successor on the other hand, Barrett M107 is a .50 caliber, shoulder fired, semi-automatic sniper rifle. Like its predecessors the rifle is said to have manageable recoil for a weapon of its size owing to the barrel assembly that itself absorbs force, moving inward toward the receiver against large springs with every shot. Additionally the weapon's weight and large muzzle brake also assist in recoil reduction. Various changes were made to the original M82A1 to create the M107, with new features such as a lengthened accessory rail, rear grip, and monopod socket. Barrett has recently been tasked with developing a lightweight version of the M107 under the "Anti-Materiel Sniper Rifle Congressional Program", and has already come up with a scheme to build important component parts such as the receiver frame and muzzle brake out of lighter weight materials. The Barrett M107, like previous members of the M82 line, is also referred to as the Barrett "Light Fifty." The M107CQ variant is specifically designed where the firepower of a .50 caliber rifle is required, but the bulk of the M82/M107 series prevents the weapon from being used. The M107CQ is 9" shorter in overall length (all in the barrel) and 5 pounds lighter than the M107. The scope is removable.


→ About 1.23 pounds (0.56 kg), 11.875 inches (30.16 cm) and the blade's length 7 inches (18 cm), the KA-BAR Fighting Utility Knife, which has traditionally used a 7 in. (178 mm) 1095 carbon steel clip point blade and leather-washer handle but this one uses the more modern versions of dual-edge blades and synthetic handles made of Kraton (a non-slip rubber substitute). It has a few coats of non-reflective matte black spray paint to reduce reflected light and give them a little more protection against saltwater corrosion. Its moderate carbon and low chromium steel mixture allows the blade to hold an edge very well. Often sharpened, used for an all-purpose knife (make of it what you will in defining what all-purpose is to Amico.)

→ Improvisation: Using his senses, Amico can easily tell where a person is due to his sharp spatial awareness, and almost accurately assess where they are, and appropriately perform actions in such a situation. But such things must happen within a reasonable bound of his realization.
