Dinner and a Tour

"WOOOOOO," Sal squeaked excitedly (Or squeaked to the best of his ability, as his voice had begun to break) as he finished setting up the post-lunch snacks. There were plenty of doughnuts to choose from and a pack of Nesquik chocolate milk bottles was placed in a small cooler. There were plenty of napkins available and glasses for water, juice, or whatever other drinks that might be acquired during the course of the day. The occasion? Nyx was coming over for a visit. It would be her first time seeing Pirate Island, and if that wasn't exciting enough, it would be their first real date since meeting in North City a few weeks prior.

For all intents and purposes, Nyx could be considered Sal's girlfriend. They not only went through the motions (mostly based on what Sal had been taught by Sec), but they truly had grown to be good friends from the very beginning. It was almost like love at first sight, and though they were physically rather young for something like that, they had a level of mental maturity beyond their years that could be frightening when things got serious. From a logical standpoint, their animal DNA would be the most likely contributor to this maturity, and neither of them could really deny it without an inkling of doubt.

Regardless, it was his human, child-like nature that took over at that moment, leaving him with butterflies in his stomach and a rosy grin on his face. He had it all planned out - he'd offer Nyx some refreshments before starting the tour, and by the time they were finished touring the island and possibly South City, it would be time for dinner, which he would obviously be treating her to. After all, that was the gentlemanly thing to do. He wrote down the order of events in a bulleted list, which he'd put... where did he put it?

"Uh oh," he muttered as he began to frantically search his pockets. "Maybe it's in the bathroom!" came his exclamation before he sprinted to the aforementioned location. He took a shower and cleaned himself up before setting everything out so that he'd be clean and would certainly smell like a gentleman should, so chances were he'd left it there. After opening cabinets and shaking out towels, he was still left empty-handed. Nervous, he stepped back into the kitchen and sat down. She'd be there any minute, and he managed to lose his date plans...
