Such a thing as tempting fate... (Atlacia/Ama/closed)

Amane placed his left hand on the back of her head and leaned down a bit. Resting his head on hers he started to think about what she said. She was right, but he would never change his ways. He had to atone by helping others and sacrificing himself to do it. As her tears ran down her ace they also ran off on to his chest. The thought of a woman crying before him made him feel worse but then again these were tears long since bottled up inside her.

He had spent the remainder of his life since he disappeared wandering and hoping to find forgiveness anywhere. However instead of finding forgiveness he found a tattered soul needing repairing. As they stood for what seemed like years the sun slowly set and brought about the beautiful night sky.

Her brown hair laying on his hand as he continued to embrace her. He felt remorse for killing all those people. One of them could have been someone dear to her and he would have taken that from her with out a sing hesitation back then. But now he can't even kill a fly with out thinking of the fly's family and how they would feel.

He seems to have a plague of thinking of his actions and how they end up affecting the people around him. from time to time he would do something and only after see the affect. But no matter what he did there was always some one that was affected in a bad way.

no matter how much he tried he couldn't stop thinking of how that might be the case now. After the sun set and they stood on the abandoned roof for some time he gently pushed her away slightly and kneeled on his knee. Using his left hand he whipped away her tears and looked her in the eyes.

His eyes were filed with sadness and penance. He tried hard to get rid of it but it would never work. He spoke softly and kindly, "It's getting late that it is. Do you have somewhere to stay?" After that he just looked in to her eyes and tried to comfort her anyway he could.

Atlacia bit her lip some and sighed. "Give me a minute." She closed her eyes, focusing on breathing and breathing alone. It was a form of meditation and it worked quite well when she got upset like this. It wasn't good for her to bottle her emotions, but she did and she did for the sake of others. She preferred letting herself get walked on after akll that meant she wasn't a burden? Wouldn't it be better to be a matt for people rather being a hurdle? Besides hurdles always needed picked back up and mat's siply lied on the ground and took their beatings.

Rubbing her eyes, she massaged the area just aabove the bridge of her eyes and let out a soft hiss of air like it was the evil inside of her. She instantly pulled on a mask of happiness and nodded, "Yes. I'm currently living with my roommate in East city. It's not too far from here." Shaking her head. "If you wish to go, you should I've already troubled you enough for one day and you've done so much for me I don't think I could take anymore kindness, I might explode!" She meant it as a joke, but her voice echoed with shakey laughter.

Amane stood up to his full towering six foot two and walked over to his shirt and coat. Slipping them on he started to speak. "I would love to escort a princess that I would. That is-" He stopped a second as he walked back over to her his black cloth robe in his right arm. He put his left to her and spoke. "If you'll have me. But before that, lets stop and get you some food. You must be hungry that you must." He said as he would walk off with her and stop at the stairs. He turned and spoke again after stepping on the second step. "I noticed you having trouble on the way up, so I wouldn't mind giving you a hand that I wouldn't." He said putting his arms out. He was poised to carry her down the stairs and off to her house. The night grew chilly and the robe wouldn't do much to keep the cold so he slipped off his jacket and handed it to her. "Put this one, it's getting quite cold that it is."

Atlacia sighed and smiled. He wasn't going to let her refuse would he? With a look of defeat she took his arm and allowed him to help her. She shook her head "I'm not hungry, I just ate before we met." She said. It was the truth... for once she had eaten. A damn miracle! Surely this was one for the recordbooks. Atlacia thought quietly and laughed "Besides call me Atlacia.. not princess I'm hardly a princess nor a Mrs. Atlacia works just well Amane-sempai." She decided honorifics would be a little more interesting, not to mention polite around this man. She stared around. Why did she have to be so weak? Her knees were awful and mentally she was practically unstable! Some people had it all! She pointed out the directions to her dowm room, practically leading the way. She wanted him to be happy.. just like Shan. After all this man had somehow broken her barrier too. Was she just getting weak? Soft?

Amane got to her dorm door and set her down. He chuckled a bit and kneeled down. "I will Atlacia-san. If you will excuse me I have to go now that I do." With that he slung his coat back on and walked away. He did not look back and did not hint at coming back. "I will be in east for a while that I will!" He yelled as he walked off and waved fading off in to the distance Soon he was gone, leaving his lasting impression on her like he always did to those he met. He may have told her a dark secret he would only tell one other but that would come in do time. For now it was her alone and he would continue to wander and search for that one person who could make things right.
