DEscriptION:
→ First and foremost, Kana's most obvious physical trait is the fact he wears a black eyepatch over his right eye all of the time, giving him a pirate-like appearance. In fact, this is because on his original form Kana's parents had been murdered in a gang bust-up and he was shot in the eye. Though, because this isn't his original form he's in, he just wears it to keep his last shreds of reality at least slightly sane because it held a purpose he could no long remember.

The boy has shoulder-length, choppy red hair and one vibrant emerald eye that shines to the world; one which is too vibrant to be normal, but no one notices. The key of the experiments on him, were human transmutation, which meant one thing: Kana's body wasn't real. The boy has actually been walking in the body of a wooden doll for the past nine years that holds the skin of his child self over it. Not his actual skin, but an artificial copy.

As a result, he is extremely hard to the touch, yet his skin is rather soft, and his joints have slightly unnatural bumps around them where the balls are, which allow him to move his limbs using his soul. His real body is in cryogenics back in the Auregese lab, and he's aware he's going to disconnect from his puppet form soon.

Kana tends to wear what looks like a long green poncho, as well as a lighter green scarf wrapped around his neck. Behind his eye patch is what looks to be a loose eye, but in fact they'd run out of synthetic skin and couldn't make the eye look normal -as in, incase in skin-, so he wears the eye patch to cover it as well.

His body beneath the skin looks like that of a typical puppet. His stomach area has several over-lapped joints to allow flexible movements and his chest area is hollow, holding a blood seal just under the part that connects the body to the head. This case is also filled with a metallic substance (iron shavings) that he uses in his alchemy in order to create his weapons.

He has a high, childish voice and what looks to be an average child's body shape. He walks like an excited child, skipping a fair bit in his step and laughing a lot and just holds a child-like persona. He also tends to talk to 'Davi-chan' a lot, his imaginary form of the friend he'd long forgotten 'Endavi'. His blood seal is located on his true form's chest, inside the cavity and where his heart should be.


PERSONALITY:
→ These are put in 'layers' because this is the result you'll get every-time he cracks,
→ FIRST LAYER: A smile as bright as the sun, a walk of giddy as a child and the brightest eye a boy his apparent age could have. The kindest voice and actions, the happiest and most innocent reactions and the lightest soul a boy could have is what makes up Kana's first layer, or his mask. In this 'layer' he will usually smile brightly, act childish, dance and skip a lot and be very social. He will basically act like a typical 8-year-old child.
→ SECOND PHASE: Anger bubbles from within, turmoil snaps slightly and his smile is no longer so bright, holds a semblance of mocking. Movements, though still childish, are more refined and taunting; giggling... lots of giggling. In this phase Kana will a fair bit more openly sadistic and cruel, his gaze would be heavily mocking and he'd in general be teasing you from where he was. He can willingly switch between this and the two phases surrounding it. He also tends to play with dangerous weapons in this phase and taunt his opponents. This is when his victims begin to recognize him as 'fucked in the head'.
→ THIRD MOON: Laughter... hollow, mocking and purely sadistic laughter! Anger boils in that eye of green and that smile is purely made for trouble. No... it's a smirk... yes, he's mocking his victims with that smirk. Nimble, childish movements, yet forever mocking, no innocence about him, just pure evil. In this stage Kana will tend to act almost insane, his talk will seem ridiculous as he'll mention random things, and at this stage he'll begin to mention 'Davi-chan' in his conversations. He is a lot more sadistic and will taunt his victims with their life by cutting off limbs and the likes, cutting open large wounds and unraveling their guts in front of them etc. His eye expresses a much colder opinion now, though still 'emotional' and he is curious to an almost deadly intent.
→ FORTH PLATFORM: Now it's just heavy breathing... the laughter's stopped, now he's just playing them with those dead eyes... no, dead eye... with that dead eye and that crazy step... In this phase he will be a lot more stoic and definitely deadly, his gaze will be hard and he'll be a lot more silent. Having a sick fascination with anatomy, he will try and dissect the victim alive in front of them, maybe giving them a crazy grin and asking if they wanted to feel their own intestines/etc. He also asks 'Davi-chan' his opinion all of the time and is certifiably lost at this point.
→ THE DEMON WITHIN: Nothing... just cold... he's like a doll now, cold, dead eyes taunting his victims, showing he has no remorse for his kill... he feels nothing. His movements are skilled, nimble, almost inhuman and his methods a lot more torturous. In the final stage of his insanity, Kana will visibly go numb. Now, he is numb inside for all of the stages, but the final level is where he drops all semblances of an act and just does. In this stage he'll be completely serious in his acts, and if he snaps, this time he snaps for real and will do some very insane things if provoked. Basically, this is the thin wire between losing all sanity: permanently. It is rare he'll ever reach this state, but he will not revert once reaching it since it is where he drops the act and becomes a hardhearted killer. If he reaches this stage while around you... you're fucked.

HISTORY:
→ Born on June 11 in the main city of Aurego, Tokyo, to two foreign parents. His mother bore the genes of a Creta-born and his father, that of an Amestris-born man. So, all in all, it was odd how the child was born to be Auregese, yet have none of the blood of the country in him.

The, however, doesn't really matter, since he as born in Aurego either way.

As a child growing up, Kana was always the happy kind of child who loved talking, playing games and just being a people-person in general. He'd never go anywhere without taking a curious detour, constantly worrying his parents, until one day... he got lost in the workings of the vast city of his homes.

At age 6 at the time, the boy wandered the alleys for hours before seeming to crash out next to a large door with the kanji for 'dojo' along it's sign. He ignored this, however, as he groaned and held his hungry stomach. He was lost, had no way to find his parents and was hungry... let's just say the poor kid had no hope at the time... until he was shaken awake by a very pretty girl, who seemed to have a scowl on her face.

"Wake up kid, it's not good for brats like you to sleep on the streets." Ok... did I say female? The voice gave away the fact that this 'girl' was most definitely a boy, making Kana blush scarlet from even thinking such a thing. But, before the other boy could talk, he had the 6-year-old clinging around his waist like a lost puppy, sobbing into his shirt.

The boy's hair reached his shoulders in some kind of straight cut and he was definitely Auregese; you could tell by his yellowish skin, height and eyes. Why height? The boy was about an inch or so shorter than him when he stood all the way up.

It wasn't long after that, that the red-haired boy learned his name was Endavi Diederich and he trained at the dojo Kana crashed against. Naturally, wanting to be around his savior, Kana convinced his worried-like-hell parents to let him train at the dojo with his new best friend. They only let him because they thought Endavi's strict ways might rub off a bit of their son and have him not run off so much.

Unfortunately that just got worse. He managed to get himself into some kind of fray and lost his eye, but his memory's pretty blurry on that event.

For the next four years, Kana trained with Endavi at that dojo, and throughout the years they had become the best of friends. Sure, Davi-chan was a jerk, but that didn't matter, he could be nice at times and that was a very important thing for the foreigner- oh, and Davi never once picked on his appearance, and that was important to Kana in so many ways.

One day, as the two were walking home, a large, red car sped through and aimed at their direction. Unfortunately, a year before this, Kana was orphaned as his parents were killed in a murder, so the two friends lived together, but all that changed in a few split seconds.

Kana roughly pushed Endavi out of the way of the car and was crushed himself, while the navy-haired boy watched in pure horror. After that, Kana has yet to see Endavi again, as everything changed the moment he woke up in 'hospital', or more accurately, the Creta-Aurego Military Experimental Labs. CAMEL for short.

For the next six months, Kana was tortured, experimented on and you name it in the CAMEL, so much so that he forgot everything expect for one name... one that wasn't even his own. 'Davi-chan'

The next year was just as bad before they announced the experiment that killed Kana all together inside, and he was dead to start with anyway. They wanted to preform human transmutation n him and transfer his soul into the wooden puppet copy of his eight-year-old self that stood, lifeless, in the cabinet laying in the middle of the circle.

Kana's arm was cut before they opened the puppet's chest cavity and drew a blood seal over the heart area, inside the cavity and threw both bodies next to each other in the circle. After that, all Kana could remember was waking up in a form without any senses other than sight and sound, as well as an empty room when twelve scientists were before. His body was then put in cryogenics in order for him to 'stay alive' while he stayed like the doll he now was: lifeless.

They has filled his chest cavity with a metallic dust and sealed it shut, before melting the artificial skin together in order to make it look like a strange scar. After a year in training to learn his 'metal alchemy', the kid was back out on the streets. By that time Endavi has already left Aurego.

The boy, 'supposedly' aged 13 (he'd been re-taught his first name and birthday), began to teach himself human emotion by watching people interact from afar. First it was smiling, then kind movements and gestures, kind words and after three years of training himself on the Auregese streets, Kana had become a master puppeteer inside the puppet, able to fool people with his light and kind attitude before taking them into an alley and slaying them. Well, he didn't start killing until this age anyway.

It was when he was sitting at the wall of an alley when he watched with one dead eye two men drag a screaming woman into the alley. Remembering his own hell, he got up and used the metal particles in his chest cavity in order to spit a knife out of his mouth. After all, they'd left holes where his head and body connected in order for the metal particles to come out of his mouth without harming the skin.

Anyway, the boy had formed the knife and walked up to one of the men, tapping his shoulder and giving him a big smile, just like he'd trained himself to. "Excuse me mister, but what are you doing?" He asked in a childish voice as the man scoffed and shoved the boy, only to receive a giggle as the attack was blocked and he was thrown over the puppet's shoulder with ease. "You shouldn't be scary, mister, because then the scary comes to you." The child had said with a smile before he stabbed the man in the throat.

He took out the second one as quickly too, before turning to the terrified woman and chuckling. "Now you don't have to be scared any more, miss, because the scary is all gone." He had said with a smile, before the woman tried to run away from him in fright. Hurt, the boy flung the knife at her neck and watched her fall dead with the other bodies. The knife returned to his stomach cavity as dust as dead eyes watched the woman's corpse.

"Bad girl." He muttered before leaving the scene and the city in order to go to Amestris. It wasn't easy, but he finally made it through the borders and traveled for the next year around the country before, when he was at central, a vaguely familiar voice reached his ears.

'Usagi~' It hummed in his head as the 17-year-old soul blinked his one eye and spun around, looking for the owner of the voice, but to no avail. Shrugging, the boy continued forward before it hummed the same thing again, only louder. This time he stopped and shouted out, "Who's there?"

'Behind you, usagi~' It hummed as he spun to face a boy with navy hair to his shoulders and a sinister look on his face. It only grew worse as he seemed to realize he was seen, 'About time, bunny boy.' "Who're you?" Kana asked with a wide eye of a child half his age as the boy smiled kindly and pushed some hair behind his ear, 'You should know, bunny-boo, I'm your best friend, Davi-chan!'

The boy grinned happily as the red-haired boy finally got the hint and opened his eyes in surprise, grinning widely. "Davi-chan? Really? You're real?" He asked in giddy shock as the boy chuckled and hugged Kana with a sinister grin, 'Yeah, I'm real.'

In reality no one but Kana was in that alley, but the boy has never found that out, since he's set on believing Davi-chan's real.

For the last two years, Kana's become known as the 'Black Night Killer' as he follows 'Davi-chan's' directions on who his targets should be. He's always happy inside when Davi-chan tells him he did good, he was such a good boy and everything. Since neither physically grow old, Kana will trust no one but his Davi-chan, and anyone who tries to get too close are usually dead in the next week by Davi-chan's command. Kana remembers nothing before the transmutation other than Davi-chan's face, figure and name, and everything he does know is either subconscious or re-taught.



ALCHEMIC ABILITY:
→ Kana's alchemic ability is controlling and forming the metallic dust in his stomach cavity. Though in later levels he will be able to control/form external metal as well and become very lethal. He can only create knives and the likes as things like guns are too intricate for him, and he only has basic knowledge on the subject.




TRIVIA:
→ Kana is schizophrenic with his influence being 'Davi-chan'
→ Kana is connected to Endavi like Lavi is to Kanda in the series, that is, before Kana is in that crash.
→ Kana has amnesia
→ He subconsciously fears meeting the real Endavi, since that might take his Davi-chan away, but is unaware of this fear.
→ He can not be persuaded from the fact that Davi-chan is real.
