This is what happens.. (Greed Xan Kira only)

Greed was throwing back shots like they were candy pieces. Theyw ent down smooth and easy and the music of the club pumped hard in the atmosphere. Techno music over the shifting and shuffling bodies of men and women dancing on the lit floor. Her face had a permanent grin on it, being in her own sort of world. This was where she belonged. All the booze she need ssmoke under second hand smoke. The men and women all around.

Yup this was another one of Greed's second homes. She had come to let lose. One of her strange ways of having fun. As she spun in her stool at the bar, she giggled, batting her lashes at the bartender, "Might I have another vodka sir?" The man stared her down a minute, obviously concerned at how much alcohol she had consumed, but he could tell if anything she was buzzed. He chuckled and served another, sliding it to her. With another soft giggle she turned and traced her finger around the shotglass, her golden eyes preening the area for something, anything of interest. She was drunk. oh yes, very drunk, but her senses were actually more acute, however her common sense was out the door. She took another sip, cossing her legs. Today she was wearing a leather, black dress that pressed hard to her body, fitting her curves perfectly and her hair was pinned back in a ponytail. She didn't wear make up, seeing as she had no need for it.

He didn't belong here. The atmosphere was tormenting his soul--if he had one. Well, at least it was dark. The darkness of the club, save for the flashing lights, seemed to seep into his completely black attire. His leather pants reflected the dull lighting shining from above and streamed out the seizure-inducing glare of the strobes. He didn't belong here. He could almost smell the blood clinging to his skin, the metallic taste of a killer. It seemed to resonate from within him and come out in pulses no one else seemed to notice. He was just the quiet guy in the corner, observing the beauty who swung around in the bar stool like a lunatic. Kira didn't understand this part of her, so he concluded that he would observe until he did. Other than that, there was no real reason why he had come with her; he just was. And that was all Kira ever succeeded in doing since killing himself never worked...

Dull blueish eyes rested on the bartender who happened to look his way after passing Zeeva another vodka. The man made a gesture as if to tell him something. It seemed that he wanted Kira to go over there and control her craziness. Kira would do no such thing. He blinked stupidly at the bartender who had seen them come in together and assumed he was capable of such action. Clearly not. He crossed his legs, peering down at his worn boots with a blank expression. He had his favorite blue and black slant-stripped tie positioned around his neck in a knot. The collar of his black dress shirt stuck out from the folds of his black trench coat. The sloppy bow in the back, hung down behind him through the bars in the wooden chair. His arms crossed against his chest, Kira merely watched her in silence, not belonging.

Xanthus Icarus stepped into the club, feeling like he was awesome. Which he was. As was becoming a good habit for him, the Ishvalan was wearing his matrix style outfit.

A long black trench coat covered a black collared button-up shirt, which was tucked into black slacks. Black socks were inside of boots that were polished so thoroughly that they almost literally shined, even though they were jet black. The only thing that Xan was wearing that wasn’t black was his tie, which was white. Even his glasses were jet black, hiding his red eyes that were currently gleaming with their usual cool amusement.

The club was excellently dark, and the music was very nice. However, dancing was hardly the only thing Xan had on his mind tonight. Tonight was a perfect night to see what kind of trouble he could get into here in Central, after just having come back from Briggs on a sort of mini vacation. This club just seemed like the perfect place to start. And speaking of good places to start…

Xan had just spotted one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen, and he had seen a lot of women. Perfect hair, curves that went on for as long as you dared to stare at them, and the face of an angel. And best of all, she was perfectly drunk, as it seemed. With a small smile and the chuckle of a confident man, Xan strolled over to the bar. Sitting down by the woman, the Ishvalan snapped his fingers to draw the attention of the bartender. After ordering one of the finest drinks on the menu, Xan turned to look at the woman who had captured his interest. Wow, she looked even better up close, if that was possible.

It didn't take a genius to see a man all in black. Zeeva spent a whole day with one. With a glance at Kira, she realised this man was different, more confident... eperhaps even cocky would be a good word. As he sat down, she couldn't help but try and hide the twitch of a smirk on her lips. She looked him up and down, not hiding the fact at all, before taking another swallow.

She grinned, "If you're going to ask the do I come here often line, make it creative." She turned towards him alittle, studying him. He had a tan body, light hair; An ishvallan or at least by descent. Her lips met the glass yet again. Her legs crossed elegantly as she leaned back some, seeming to accent her features. Her golden eyes rested back on his face intently. The smell of alcohol and smoke seemed to linger around, sue to the fact she was siting at the bar directly. How many glasses was this one? Five.. seven? She'd lost count.

She glanced at her now empty glass and set it down beside her. Then she was quiet again, waiting for his response, her smile, playful and seductive as usual. If anything, the atmosphere added to her drunkeness.

Kira noticed a new guy on the scene as he entered into Zeeva's atmosphere and drew but closer to where she sat at the bar. Kira uncrossed his legs and planted both feet firm on the ground with a sideways expression. Having never seen that guy before, Kia was confused. Did random people approach one another often? He thought he had been observing people long enough to figure this out. and he guessed the reason why he couldn't was because he had never known one of them before, and thus never experienced this protective instinct that was pulling his nerves taught. This happened especially when Zeeva was drinking; when she had alcohol she stopped acting...'normal' per say. That was why he appointed himself this position. Over here he wasn't in the way of her fun and he also could observe. Wait, maybe she knew him since she was the first to speak? Kira stared awkwardly across the smoky club at them. His conclusion was that if he touched her, he would kill him. Trying to figure out any other way was annoying.

Xan chuckled at the woman’s comment. The whole ‘pick up line’ thing had never even come into his mind. Fortunately for Xan, he was a quite a bit better than that. However, that did not mean that he didn’t have some kind of move to pull.

Sorry, I don’t do pickup lines. Buying the girl a drink seems to work a lot better, especially in a bar.
The barkeep returned with two glasses, a bottle of vodka, and a bottle of the stuff that Xan had ordered. With a slight smile, Xan poured himself a glass of his own drink and then mixed some vodka into it. With a slight swirl, the two liquids mixed into one very potent, very good, and very alcoholic drink. (Not for kids.)

Xan took a sip of the new drink.

Ah, that hits the spot. This is a special drink that I like to make whenever I come to places like these. Would you like to taste it? Beware, it’s rather potent.

Looking into a slightly shadowy part of the bar, Xan noted that someone seemed to be watching his every move with curiosity. Shrugging, Xan returned his attention to the woman.

Greed watched him order her a drink. Of course she was thrilled. Free booze! Nothing sounded sweeter. She picked up the new glass and sipped it. And amused look in her eyes as she stared at his drink with obvious interest. That was something that looked interesting.

"I'm guessing that means you don't come here often." she joked as she took a sip of her vodka, her movements elegant. He seemed high-class. That was always a promising thing. As he offered her a sip, she grinned. "Oh please, hun. I hold liquor than that bottle." She pointed to one of the fancy bottles upon the shelf beind the tender. It was true, she did hold her liquor incredibly well. However, the fact was she was already buzzed. It wouldn't take much to push her over the edge.

With a soft and seductive smile, she held out her hand. "May I?" She aimed just for a sip, she wanted a taste of it, it seemed like it looked good. Her movements were still somehow graceful as she leaned forward a bit, showing the complete 'control' she had over her body.

Now they were sharing a drink? Kira crossed his legs again with an unhappy look on his face. That was...unpleasant. He ran a hand through the longer strands of his half-curled black hair and sighed quietly. That was when some girl showed up way too close to his face. He jolted backward and his chair fell over with a clank that was absorbed into the blaring music. He was so distracted by the man that this teenager had creeped up on him. He blinked at her with a dull expression. Go away. He frowned and tried to ignore her when she began complimenting his hair and outfit and...just about everything else. Apparently she thought he was the coolest guy there and that they should go dance. The problem was that he wasn't a guy; he was a homunculus and he had killed people just like her... He didn't deserve the compliments. Frowning some more, he decided to answer her so she would get out of his face. She was blocking his line of sight and he couldn't see Zeeva. "Move." Then he shot her one of his death glares that excited a yelp from her. She ran away after that and Kira resumed keeping careful eye on Zeeva, getting impatient for once in his life. He righted the chair and sat back down, slumping.

Xan chuckled at the woman’s comment about how she could hold her liquor. Although she had admirable control over her body even now, it was somewhat obvious that she was more than a little bit tipsy, if not wholly drunk. This drink of Xan’s would send her over what ever edge she had left...

Using only the most graceful of movements himself, Xan handed the glass of liquor to the woman with a small smile, doing it in such a way that their hands touched, if only for a split second.

A hardly noticeable occurrence, the brushing of a male’s hands against a female’s, but it told Xan even more about this beautiful lady in front of him. She had soft skin, and judging by her movements in receiving the glass, was not only in complete control of her body, like Xan thought, but also moved with a grace that most normal people wouldn’t have been able to produce even when sober.

Xan’s thoughts occurred in the blinking of an eye, and the only thing that escaped his mouth was a simple sentence.

I hope that you’re ready; that drink is as delicious as it is potent.

Greed smiled coyly and took the drink. "I think I can handle it." Cockiness, one of her true problems. She tlted her head, as if asking any objections? She thought she could take on the world and well, while she was drunk the whole universe. With a tilt of her wrist, she swallowed a mouthful of the beverage. Placing the drink back on the table, she couldn't help but blush, "Th-That's really good."

She seemed to stammer slightly, completely caught off guard. She had expected something great, but this was too much! She wiped her lip gently and closed her eyes, savorig the test. "Reeaallyy good. " She emphasized it needlessly. Oh yes, she would regret this, probably very badly when she was completely off her ass drunk.

She giggled softly and spun in her chair again. She was fairly happy and she could definitely feel the warmth of a buzz rocketing in her body. She sat back ain her seat with a gofy, playful grin. "What's it called?"

Kira's careful eyes picked up the slight brushing of their hands and he twitched, his chair scooting across the ground with a screech. His eyes narrowed to angry slits and he held off for a few brief moments until Zeeva spun in the chair. With horror, Kira remembered hearing about the prospect of dying from being poisoned and his dull eyes began to grow darker--if that were possible. Catching the dim lighting from above, they flashed at the man from across the bar. Not aware that the man was actually giving her alcohol poisoning instead of real poisoning, Kira shot at lightning speed toward them and seemed to appear at their location. He leaned against the raised table with an elbow between them and poked a gloved finger at the poisoner's forehead, using his abnormal strength to push the man's head away from Zeeva. He said nothing, his back to the drunken homunculus and his murderous gaze boring into the man. Clearly he thought he was protecting Zeeva.

[I'm kind of assuming Xan doesn't dodge him since it's not really an attack, but tell me if you want me to change it <3]

Xan had had just enough time to tell the woman that the drink was called Icarus Elixir, before a man appeared seemingly out of nowhere to glare down at him. It was the same guy who had been in the shadowy corner of the club, watching the Ishvalan have his fun with the woman. Xan looked at the woman, then at the man’s dark eyes, then immediately understood.

The staring from across the club from a dark corner, like a silent guardian, the rushing forward, the not too subtle push on Xan’s head. Was this man a jealous suitor? If so, that complicated things, but also made them more interesting. Xan purposely ignored the fact that the man seemed to move at something close to the speed of sound and had uncanny strength for now. He had no cause to enter into a confrontation, and even if he did have to fight, he had a few more tricks up his sleeve than ever before, thanks to a breakthrough in his research…

Standing up and stepping back a few feet in case the man did the speed thing again, Xan gave the man a small smile.

Hello there, is something wrong?

Greedlistened intently Icarus Elixer? That sounded interesting enough. Though it also sounded as a family drink. She took a mental note to look this up later. Her eyes immedeatly shot to Kira. What was he doing? Bfore she could even inhale, he was a barrier between the man and herself. It confused her. She wondered if he was hurt or something. Standing up, she stared at him confused, "Are you okay?" her words slightly slurred. She was concerned for the boy. He looked like steam was goiung to fume from his ears. Curious, she rested the back of her hand to his neck,. checking his temperature. No wait he was hot.. did he have a fever?! "OMIGOD yer burning up." yes she was oblivious that this was because he was seeing red and green. She looked at Xan with a blank look of confusion. Surely they weren't going to fight?

Kira let his hand drop once Xan moved away, and proceeded to stare at him awkwardly. He was vaguely surprised by the man's reaction; he had expected to be attacked. He was prepared to kill the light-haired guy, but there didn't seem to be a cause worthy enough for him to exert the effort. His attention turned quickly back to Zeeva as if the man stopped existing, no longer interesting him. Blank eyes stared at her as she felt his neck, which was actually usually colder than most humans. He tilted his head extremely slightly in thought. She wasn't making any sense and it was kind of hard to understand her words even. Was she poisoned? He grit his teeth in mental struggle. Though he was glad to be getting acknowledged by her again since he had started to feel neglected in the back of the bar. Wait...neglected? That was something annoying, that wasn't worth bothering about, but he was still feeling this? A chill ran down his spine at the thought. Zeeva, and only Zeeva, was breaking through the wall of troublesome.

Xanthus saw that the man’s attention had been diverted by the more than slightly drunk woman that he had been flirting with. With as much subtly as one could muster in these kinds of situations, Xan waved his hand slowly, drawing in moisture from many different sources. Drinks that lined the bar, the sweat of people dancing, water from the air, all of it was his to command as he saw fit.

Currently, it was simply gathering in the form of a dense cloud at the top of the club, going unnoticed by the dancers, who were too busy dancing, making out, or doing combinations of both to look up. He hadn’t brought his dual bladed sword along with him, but he most likely would not need it.

Why was Xan suddenly going battle mode? Because even behind his nonchalant attitude, the Ishvalan was not amused by interruptions, for starters. Secondly, and more importantly, he had an ominous feeling about this new character. Perhaps it was the sudden burst of speed, or the minor show of above average strength, but Xan had the feeling that this person was one to be prepared for battle around.

Ever the cool and confident type, Xan walked around the man like he wasn’t even there and tapped the woman on the shoulder.

Excuse me, but do you mind telling me who this is? You seem to know him, and he seems to know you. Hmmm….for that matter, what is your name?

Greed looked confused at Kira's anger. What was wrong with this boy? Why was he freaking?! She thought he had a fever for one and looked at Xan who appeared behind her before she could bat a lah, "Yah, he's a good friend of mine, his name's Kira and my name is Zeeva. Pleasure to meet you Mr." She rubbed the back of her head and frowned, "Hmm never caught your name." She sat back down at a bar stool and shifted, she felt suddenly romantic, wanted to kiss someone or something and despite being drunk she had to force it down and stare at the bartender until he handed her another beer and dropped it at her hands. She turned her head back to the two boys, "Kira you okay?" She tilted her head, "You look mad er somethin'." Completely oblivious, she smiled at Xan, letting him know it was probably a misunderstanding. She didn't want the men to fight, well not here anyways, that would ruin the party! Then what would she do? She'd have to go home and whine and complain, write something in her diary, hide it unwell and wake up to find out Envy had found it again. She groaned and smacked her forehead. "You two have a driunk and sit down, I ain't getting kicked out of here."

Kira sat down next to Zeeva instantly without a second thought. He still felt his heart racing at the fact that the strange man had dared to tap Zeeva's shoulder. He had almost intervened...almost. He had also listened quietly as she introduced him like a child, but it didn't bother him as it should have. Pride, to Kira at least, was useless along with mostly everything else. He frowned and played with the string from his coat. Of course he was mad, didn't she see that this guy was obviously plotting something? His dark eyes narrowed in suspicion. He really didn't need to answer her question, but he had one of his own to ask this time. Turning to point his cold orbs at the strange, his words flowed out and faded on the edges. "Why are you here?" There was no anger, no accusation; in fact, there was no emotion at all.
