DESCRIPTION:
→ Vincent has short dirty blonde hair that he always keeps short, and he almost always wears his armor, his helmet either on his head or on his belt. The armor only covers his body, as he has separate pieces that cover his shins and right arm. During a fight with his first homonculi, he lost his left arm, which was replaced with auto mail. On this arm is a twin-linked pistol connected to his nerves. His armor has transmutaion circles and alchemy symbols all across it, a family heirloom passed down for generations. Sometimes he'll wear full blue body robes however, when being more "normal." He has a slight tan skin color, sapphire blue eyes, broad shoulders, and a muscular body, but not bulging by any means. Has one scar across his left eye, others across his body in various places. Always holds his head up high, looks people in the eyes when talking or even just looking at them. Always extremely formal in both speech and manner, but loves to throw out jokes and insults to close friends and opponents alike. Can be somewhat intimidating at first with his look and formality, but on the inside is extremely soft.



PERSONALITY:
→ Vincent Alexander is an extremely loyal son of the Alexander bloodline, one rich with history and involvement in the State. Because of this, he like his family has gone to great lengths to become a State Alchemist. He is rigid and strong, and though not one to lead, will when he has to. He always thinks things through and is a master tactician, another trait of his family. A born fighter, he specializes in fighting with a halberd, something he picked up as a child from his father. In battle, he is tactful and decisive, landing every blow as if planned well before the conflict. Though an alchemist, he rarely uses it. Generally he only uses it to summon his weapons, in defense, or in dire circumstances. Outside of battle, he is normally formal and proper. When he able to relax however, and especially when with loved ones and friends, he loves to be silly and joke around. This personality also comes out in battle, taunting and insulting his opponents to discover weaknesses and gain the upper hand.

His strong loyalty and love of his family and friends are his strength, what he likes to call his "foundation to stand on." He would do anything for them, knowing they would do the same to him. No matter what, he would always stand up for them and protect them. This also means treachery and betrayal are what he hates most out of all else, and it angers him immensely. Surprisingly enough, he is a hopeless romantic. Loving to hear love stories and seeing devoted couples, he envelops himself in it whenever possible. Sadly his line of work doesn't let him meet many women he'd want to marry, but he does still hope that one day he will find the girl he was destined to spend the rest of his life with. He would fight to the last breath in him for those he loves, and for this he is very well received by the State and its citizens.

HISTORY:
→ The Alexander family is steeped with rich history and a deep lineage that can be traced back to the creation of Amestris itself. Though not as well known as the Armstrong family, they are certainly famous to say the least. Being the most prestigious family in all of West City, they have been known to be the "Guardians of the West." Vincent is the second of three children born from Justin and Mari Alexander, having an older brother and a younger sister, William and Summer. Vincent and William both were raised in the ways of their forefathers, learning science, math, politics, war, history, tactics, and of course battle training. Each were Alchemists, trained by their father side by side. William specialized in fire alchemy, while Vince became a weapons alchemist.

When Will was almost 20 and Vince 18, a homonculus attacked their home in hopes of destroying the family. Both brothers fought bravely, and during the battle Vincent lost his left arm, falling unconscious on the ground. In a last ditch effort, William sacrificed himself to burn the homonculus to death, saving the family at the expense of his life. It is this sole event that the burns the fire of Vincents hatred toward homonculi and their servants/masters, swearing vengeance for his fallen brother. Shortly afterwards he became a Military Alchemist, on his way to become a State licensed one. He was known as the "Grey Knight" Alchemist.

He was initially posted in Western, and while there ran into the new second-in-command Jethro Black. They had extremely similar but different views on life and being a knight, and this lead to blows. The two fought for almost an hour before the Western Commander broke them up herself. Since Jet was only defending himself and Vince stroke first, he was punished and transfered to Central.

During this time, he followed many leads on the so called leader of the homonculi, but each one turned to a dead end. He did not stop however, and finally got a solid lead, a man in Dublith. When he finally arrived there, he searched frantically for the man called Lance Rolland. After days of searching, he found what he was looking for in a retirement facility outside of town. The man was broken, in a wheelchair and unable to do much of anything himself. Vincent went to confront him, revenge within his grasp, but he was unable to do it. At first he felt it was himself being weak, but when he returned home and told Summer about what happened, she was happy. She told him that William would not have wanted the death of helpless old man on his grave or in his name, that us being alive was all he would have ever wanted, not violence or revenge. Vincent realized the truth in her words and swore to become a better man, more like his deceased older brother.




ALCHEMIC ABILITY:
→ Uses the materials around him to create his famed "Knight Blade," a halberd.
Has transmutation circles etched into his left backhand and tattooed on his right backhand. Also has a gun on his left arm connected to his auto mail, and when fighting will transform this arm into various other weapons dependent on the situation. Common ones are a chaingun and a cannon. Otherwise he generally doesn't use alchemy, only when he has to as a last resort.

3. Just a note: Homunculus isn't spelled with two o's.
4. Make sure you post in the Central thread in Classifieds to get your position! (You just pick which one you want).
5. Your alchemic ability seems good to me, but make sure you make a trans app!
6. You can't start as a state alchemist, but you can become one after you get 150 points. ^_^
