DESCRIPTION:
→ Harumi is one of those girls who can wear anything and look stunning. Her body frame is slender with defined hips and legs equally proportionate to her abdomen. To simply put it, she is breathtaking to gaze upon. Ever since she was little she has maintained this eternal beauty and though she does not have the same golden eyes as her father, she drips royalty. Her pearly skin is tanned a deep yellowish glow straight from the oysters mouth and nearly never gets dried out. Her dark eyes vary in colors depending on what she wears and her relative mood. Being born with the rarest Aerugese eye color: blue, she was often regarded as strange with an alien-like gorgeousness. The hue changes from its original pale blue to a deep grey that is almost black. They become darker the more negative emotion she emits.

Her hair has always been long, following the tradition of the feminine Aerugese line of royalty. That's right, Haru is a descendant of Amaterasu, the sun goddess, taken from her father's blood. Long black strands that glisten whenever light hits it, stretches to reach the backs of her thighs. Her bangs are chopped at varying lengths, the longest reaching about an inch below her clear-cut eyebrows. Depending on how she feels in the morning she will part her bangs differently and also to fit with her hairstyle. Haru enjoys to switch up her appearance frequently so that she and others don't get bored looking at her. Despite the fact that she is always called pretty, she herself doesn't really agree. "There are lots of pretty girls in the world," she would typically reply, though flattered by the attention. She mostly has fun styling her hair in curls, braids, adding bows and plastic ball hair ties. A lot of times though, she just leaves it down and naturally straight.

Haru loves hats. She especially loves gothic lolita styled hats. She has this one hat that looks like a black miniature top hat with a red ribbon around the base and a black silk ribbon that tied around her head, hidden within the depths of her hair. This hat is her favorite and she wears it very often. She also enjoys the pastime of applying makeup like eyeliner and mascara, but never eyeshadow since she doesn't have the artistic ability for it.

Haru wears just about anything that is gothic lolita, or has an interesting style to it. She loves pleated skirts and tight clothing which shows off her figure--not because she wants to be admired, but because it makes her feel good about herself. Self-esteem is important when enduring a leadership role! Or so that's how she thinks. She wears clothes that are girlie and mature, enjoying a harajuku look befitting the music industry she loves so much. Her shoes are usually black and white creepers, flip-flops, shiny black dress shoes, or steam punk-looking high heels.

Her voice is husky, and very unique. When she speaks, people listen to the nice-on-the-ears tone her voice box emits. Haru is very proud of her voice and loves singing. Despite her dreams of being a singer and bass player in a rock band, she wasn't able to due to her duty as empress of Aerugo. If only she wasn't the last remaining royalty... then her dream would be able to come true. But Haru is cheerful none-the-less because she can still sing and play her bass regardless of if she is on stage or not.

PERSONALITY:
→ Ever wonder what a bubbly personality looks like when it's popped? Well, Harumi is a perfect example. When she was younger, she was so bubbly to the point where she almost seemed naive beyond reason. She was a happy child that let her imagination lead her instead of common sense. She drank creek water, rolled in mud, and thought that she was a famous war veteran from South invasion war between Veil Awaikage and Spade Aeries. It wasn't true because obviously a six-year-old does no belong anywhere near bloodshed, but Haru didn't care because she didn't need to think about it. Her objective was fun and thus her personality became that way.

However, when her parents died at the age of sixteen, Haru lost her memories: her bubble was popped and the world for her changed. No longer did she go gallivanting in fields of pine needles. She had forgotten what her hometown of Takayama looked like before the earthquake destroyed it along with a disease treatment plant that ended up wiping out everyone with thirty miles. She knew this and that was all she knew. Haru's personality turned darker and more serious, constantly plagued with the knowledge that she couldn't remember something important.

Eventually, she grew to except the missing pieces in her life and sprout new ones instead. She took the title as empress of Aerugo--the first female to ascend the throne in 328 years. No one ridiculed her or insulted her because she was the only remaining royalty: a little girl that held more innocence than greed. Haru didn't want power; she merely accepted her responsibilities and took them on like a new challenge. She was opening a new page in her life and was determined to face it optimistically. Although most of her naivete was lost with her parent's death, Haru still maintained her easily manipulated persona and outgoing personality. In a way, she was the same little girl, only, her bubble of paradise popped to reality and she was finally able to open her eyes.

Raistlin Ambros, her childhood friend whom she forgot, is treated like a royal knight. Although she isn't aware and doesn't remember their history, she treats him as her most-trusted person and ally. If she needs help, she goes to him. In fact, she floods him full of her worries, fears, and pain. Haru is not a solitary type of person; she must be around people in order to stay sane. When she is alone, she usually blares music in order to fill the silence in the space and in her heart. She knows that key elements are missing, but she is determined to rewrite her life and make it even better. Rai is someone who is capable of helping her with anything and she would sacrifice everything to protect him as well.

When meeting someone new, Haru is always suspicious, but her joyful personality bursts through her regardless of what manacle plans or paranoid thoughts are revolving around in her mind. She loves making friends and adding to her ranks and treats everyone with fairness and equality. She isn't afraid to share things about herself and is actually very open. It is her overwhelming amount of confidence that makes this possible and gains the trust of her minions. Though she herself is very susceptible and easily swayed by others, she doesn't let her decisions slide. Once she declares something, she makes a firm stand and follows it until the end no matter what the consequences. Haru doesn't half-ass things, she gives it her all even if she knows that she could fail.

HISTORY:
→ At the age of five when Haru began to first develop her bubbly personality, her life revolved around playing in the vast pine forests with her best friend, Raistlin Ambros whom she called Rai. Rai had matching long black hair, but his eyes were a peculiar shade of red. Because of this, the townspeople shunned him and people feared that he was a descendant from a demon. Everyone but Haru and her parents refused to have anything to do with him and thus, Haru became his savior, entertainer, and sole friend. Takayama was the name of their hometown where Haru was born and raised by her loving parents. Although they were of royal blood, her father, the brother of the emperor (Reila's father), preferred to live in a normal home among the commoners.

Haru spent her days in childhood bliss drinking creek water, building forts in trees, forcing her father to make a huge bonfire for smores, and so on. She was a nature child that could only be contained indoors for meals and Amestrian language lessons. Most of the reason for this was because it was easier to play with Rai outside rather than being cooped up within the confines of four walls. She was a free spirit and meant to soar! Her parents were...very aware of this. She would even go outside to practice her Amestrian with Rai. And since he was a year older, she looked up to him. Despite that fact, she also challenged him in everything, determined to beat him at something. She never did; he was just too good.

Time passed slowly and as they grew, so did their activities. Haru began to grow more and more addicted to music, going to concerts whenever she could obtain tickets. She was given an allowance that was mostly spent on dragging Rai to the movies and buying rooms filled with CDs of her favorite Aerugese rock artists. When she was ten years old, Haru bought a black bass guitar with her own money and then begged for lessons for her birthday. Of course, being as spoiled and loved as she was, Haru got just that. She began learning immediately and progressed with amazing talent. When she was twelve, Haru started a band with her girl friends. She tried to get Rai to be the keyboardist or something, but he refused so she settled on him just being the manager (aka the guy who was forced to sit on the couch each practice session and tell them how good they were). Haru named the band: TRACE. They preformed for talent shows at Miho's middle school many times and became quite popular among the kids and even among the parents. People began whispering about them getting signed to a real deal record company.

Years passed and TRACE's dreams of becoming big only grew larger and larger. They had a website and a fan base, but since all their shows were free, they never made enough money to play at the more famous venues. And not to mention that Takayama was in no way a large city like Edo. ...The next day, at age fourteen, Haru begged her parents to allow her to go to Edo with TRACE to promote themselves. Her mother, thinking it was just a phase, refused and convinced her father not to allow it. Haru, the bass player, stayed behind while Miho and the other two members went to Edo. Luckily, Rai remained with her to keep her company and comfort her as she sulked the next weeks to come. When Miho and the others finally returned with their luggage and giant smiles on their faces, they brought Haru heartbreaking news. Both Haru and Rai were now discontinued from the band and TRACE got a contract with a more famous bassist for promotion reasons and were getting a professional manager. They all shrugged and said that they figured Haru could find a different band like it was no big deal.

Haru plummeted into a depression that lasted an entire year. She left her bass in the corner of her room and didn't touch it again. It gathered dust and her most loved procession soon became her most hated. Blaming her mother for what happened, Haru took up skiing. Takayama was famous for its ski resorts and many tourists flooded to the town in the winter. Rai...well, she hadn't seen him in months. She didn't know what happened to him, nor did she care at this point. In her young heart she felt betrayed by everyone and became a reckless skier who in no time, was soon teaching others how to do it. Down insane slopes she plummeted until her sixteenth birthday.

She picked up her bass, coughing from the cloud of dust and strummed a few notes that reverberated into her core, stroking her soul until tears streamed down her cheeks. She loved it... She loved playing. She loved music. So why, why did this have to happen? Throwing herself on her bed, she sobbed until she fell asleep. She slept like the dead until suddenly she felt things start to rock. She woke up and flung the covers off, standing shakily as the room began to sway violently. The windows rattled and her books began to fall of the shelves. Haru's eyes widened in horror. An earthquake. "MOM!!!!" She shrieked, thinking fast. What was most important to her...? Bass!! Grab the bass!! Her tiny hand wrapped around the neck and she sprinted out of the room, but smacked her shoulder into the door frame, unable to continue in a straight line. The stairs were impossible, and she fell, crawling the rest of the way until she found her parents... The roof had collapsed in the kitchen where they both had been watching TV together. The worst part...was that her mother was still alive, her bloody arm reaching from under the roof towards her frail daughter's body. There was no way she could lift it. And as the world shook, Haru dashed to her mother and fell to her knees. "Mom..." She choked, trying to breathe, voice shaking, and tears streaming from her eyes. Her mother reached and touched Haru's hand, a ripping sound following and a gurgle of blood that fell out of her lips. Haru couldn't take it. "Mom I'm so sorry I didn't mean to blame you for the band I was angry but I don't care I love you mom please don't go where is dad I can't even see him anymore he was on the other side of the table and the bed is now there what happened to him mom...mom I love you please please don--" The hand wasn't moving, the eyes weren't blinking... Haru's voice caught in her throat and she threw her head into her hands and wailed. She screamed and screamed as the entire house shook and the area where her bed room was began to creak and cave in over top of her. Haru ran out of voice and stopped petting her mother's hand. She stopped scrapping and clawing at the bed when her nails had all torn and started bleeding. She left her father there buried, never seen again, and her mother's dead, staring blue eyes. She clutched her bass, getting blood on the wooden neck, and stumbled to the bent front door. She ran from it, falling over as the quake increased in strength. The sounds of screams filled the street, smoke and clouds of dirt billowed into the air. Haru's house collapsed and the one next door. The others had already fallen.

Slowly everything stopped shaking and began swaying like a boat on water. She was getting seasick. And that was when the aftershock hit. Something exploded, but as Haru sat in the street, her clothes covered in blood, tears, and mud, she didn't care anymore. Closing her eyes, she played an old song; TRACE's first song, humming the melody until everything went black.

When she awoke she was surprised to find herself alive at all. But she was warm and comfortable. Everything was spinning and she felt so weak that she could barely breathe. Haru carefully opened her eyes, assaulted by sunlight. She was in the lap of a red-eyed boy. "Who...who are you?" She asked quietly, realizing with horror that she didn't know her own name. "W-wait..." her melodic voice quivered, "wh-who am I?" This was like a scene out of a movie or something. She was sitting in the lap of some romantic guy, surrounded by ruins, fires, smoke, the whole deal. She blinked. But this was reality.

She spent the rest of the day and night in the same spot on the mysterious man's lap. He told her that his name was Rai. She thought it was a weird name. But the weirder thing was that he knew her name: Harumi Tsukino and that she had royal blood. Imagine that. This was definitely a movie...or a dream, but no matter how many times she pinched herself, she never woke up. The next day, Haru finally moved and it was only because she was so hungry that she couldn't ask anymore questions and she had run out of energy prying information out of the so-called Rai. Haru was determined, but she couldn't find food. She returned back to her spot and fell back asleep immediately in his arms.

Three days later, both of them on the brink of starvation, were found by men in white suits. The next two weeks were spent in an hospital being treated for some strange disease. Apparently they had to amputate Rai's arm. Haru was horrified, but she was there for him. For some strange reason she didn't want to leave him and stayed there the entire time until important-looking people in strange uniforms dragged her out, kicking. The last thing she said to him was: "RAI COME FIND ME AGAIN!" But she had to shout it through the door as she was carried down the hallway. She only hoped that he had heard her.

For the next following months, she was alone and never let go of her bass. Haru was told that she was to be the next empress of Aerugo. The men around her all prostrated themselves in front of her and never met her eyes. She was treated like a god, but she couldn't even remember who her parents were. It was explained that she had lived in Takayama, the epicenter of a 9.0 magnitude earthquake whose 6.6 aftershock caused a disease treatment plant to explode, exposing a rare disease into the air. It was contained now, but everyone who had lived there was now dead. Everyone but her and Rai. They said that it was divine intervention. Haru didn't believe them.

At the age of seventeen, she began developing something called alkahestry and alchemy, determined to find a way to get her memories back. She studied the workings of the brain and everything to do with sound waves. She opened a memory treatment facility out of the castle and began testing her abilities on war-plagued veterans and the heartbroken. Soon, Haru was successful, but she was never able to find a way to recover memories once forgotten.

One year later, she had complete control over Aerugo and was approached by a man named Dietrich. Being easily swayed as she was, she was soon convinced that Amestris was evil and plotting war. Haru didn't want anymore people to die and since Veil Awaikage had taken over the south long ago, she agreed to ally with him. Her trusted adviser, bodyguard, and the leader of her army was Rai. He had found her again...and though she didn't really understand how he knew her, she became close to him. Together, they led Aerugo against Amestris in order to thwart war and expand their territory! FIGHT ON!

...........................................................................

ALCHEMIC/ALKAHESTRIC ABILITY:
Memory Breaking (Alkahestry): Memories themselves are impermanent essences recorded in the mind. Haru knows this fact extremely well due to the loss of her own memories. Afterward, through a thick cloud of depression, she began studying the workings of the mind. By memorizing each lobe and nerve swirling in complex webs within the skull, she began to slowly discover how specific memories--long-term and short-term--sink into the file cabinets of cells. Knowing how something becomes stained is also a way in which to begin finding a way to unstain it. Haru then dove into alkahestric books that taught her secret Xingese methods of tapping into the Dragon's pulse and reading the Earth's chi. This was the key to the magic of the body. Haru's growing ability was not something that she could easily practice or test on anyone, and thus she opened a clinic for the severely depressed. At first... no one came, but then slowly war veterans and the brokenhearted began to trickle in. She slowly began to learn which nerves in what areas of the brain contained the strongest, most important memories. And from there, she could depict what kind of emotion they embodied to that person. Haru then could choose to erase their most precious memories or their most hated memories. By doing this, she could either ruin someone's life or correct it. After perfecting her memory alkahestry, she tattooed the Xingese pentagram to both her wrists (in a light blue color) and by just touching someone's head, she could activate it at any time she desired using the power of her own mind.

Memory Inception with Sound (Alkahestry): After much practice, Haru soon gained the ability of implanting simple concepts into peoples minds. She cannot change a way someone thinks and she cannot change their natural personality; the only thing she can do is implant a simple idea or memory and hope that they change in the way that she wishes. An example of this is that she could make someone believe that she is their sister by tweaking their memories slightly. What she couldn't do would be to make them believe that she is their brother. She cannot mess with common sense or the obvious or she risks getting found out. The unique factor in this ability is that Haru does not need to touch the person in order to corrupt their brain cells with her wishes; she merely needs to say a single word in a specific tone that they hear. If they do not hear it, then it will not work. This word that allows the right fluctuation of sound waves is: "trigger." And Haru will do everything she can in order for this word to seep into the ears of her prey.

Thought Breaking with Sound (Alkahestry Achemy Mix): Haru plays the Bass guitar and carries it around with her everywhere. Stamped to its black body is a glorious alchemic array that she invented herself through much research. Haru loves music and ever since she was a child she has studied the patterns and movements of sound waves made by vibrations of the voice and the strings of her guitar. The low hum of sound that comes as a pleasant beat to humans can also be turned against people. Just as memories, music can also become an unbearable thing. By strumming just the right tones in the right order, she begins a song of torture. By knowing both the constructs of the brain and of sound waves, she utilizes this knowledge to destroy the ability to think. She cuts off the consciousness thought processes that normal occur and slows the person's perceptions of the world. Slowly...very slowly their mind is able to deducts things while their ear drums crack from a straight blast of sound over 100 Hz. Haru is unaffected by sound due to the fact that her mind is studying each note she strums or sings. Yes, she also has the ability to break the sound barrier by using alchemy and her own voice. Tattooed to the back of her neck is the same array as the one on her bass. This is just in case she is thrown into a predicament without her precious bass by her side. All she needs to do it hit the same tones as her bass in a few octaves higher (since she is a girl and her voice doesn't go that low) and she would gain the same ability to freeze the enemy's thoughts before they can think them. This lasts as long as the sound does.

Earthquake with Sound (Alchemy): By practicing with different rhythms and low sounds, Haru was able to punch another alchemic array into her bass. This ability, however, is impossible to form with her voice due to the extremely low moans of the thick strings. With delicate fingertips stroking metal in large movements of vibrations, Haru found that she could use alchemy to break things with sound. This only works with objects that are thinner than steel like earth or even humans. She can create the basic essence of an earthquake in air, but directing the sound waves up, which also mean that when directed downward, Haru can create a normal earthquake. Mimicking the natural disaster that destroyed her hometown, Haru can reach up to a magnitude 9.0 earthquake. This level can destroy weaker buildings, prevent people from being able to stand, and initiate tsunamis when at most 100 miles from the coast. She can aim these low, barely audible sound waves directly at people, destroying their internal organs almost immediately. If they manage to dodge something invisible, then the sound waves will destroy the nearest solid object behind them.

{level 4} Tsunami with Sound (Alchemy):
