Life life and new problem

Rolego and Salane both fell asleep in the small oasis. Rolego waking up first seeing that she literally clung to him the entire night which made him break a into a small grin. He still felt rather lucky. He was out in the middle of nowhere. He was not expecting anyone to see him, especially someone who wore a blindfold, she would have been dead if she had not found her way to him in the ruins. He probably would have died there as well.He did not have any meaning till she came around, and for once, he was found by someone who did not care what he was. He took all of these in at once and he could only feel nothing but joy. He still shook a little, but he was excited. He felt like a child who was about to have a road trip.

But soon after he woke he did find himself beginning to grow a little curious about why she wore the blindfold. It made no sense to him to be walking in the desert with nothing but a small water canteen and barley enough food. What purpose did she have? What purpose did it have?.

HE really wanted to look behind that veil cause, well to him, there was probably something very important behind them. He also wanted to see her eyes. Everything about her was great, so why did she hide something so important? He then suddenly stopped thinking about it. He could see she was about to wake. He then laid his head down, and looked around. He was beginning to get very hungry and he needed to find some meat. Those stalks did not usually satisfy.

Salane rose from her slumber feeling so much better than before. She had not had such a great sleep in such a long time. but also it is not normal to find yourself asleep with a chimera. She rose her head a little to see that it was just about mid day and with a smile looked back down at the ball of fuzz she hanging onto. After letting her head fall again with a sigh, she rose to her feet, reluctantly. She had gotten herself pretty comfortable, but she also knew that she and he needed to move very soon. She had to look at the ruins a bit more before they departed. She had a good reason on being here.

Before she came here this place was pretty exuberant despite its destruction. She had been trying to find out for years to find what exactly happened. She read the books, she also read many reports. But, it just seemed so unlikely how an entire city was simply wiped by ones actions. It seemed very unlikely. Alchemy was still a fairly new thing, was it not? After a few hard thought moments she began to follow the sound of the now draining water, which had evaporated noticeably cause how shallow it had gotten. So she took her canteen drank all of the water that is in it, refilled it, and placed it back on her hip.

She then turned to Drake and begin to push and shake him. Trying to wake him. Giving and short laugh as she did. He was heavy and it took alot just to move him a little.

Drake. Com on get up. I have to go back to the ruins. I need to find something.

Ronnie was not meant for this type of travel. I mean, she wore a tank top and shorts so at least her clothes were not an issue. But she had very little water herself and all she did was whine to herself about being here.

Why am I even here, I don't even...

This she pretty much yelled in a frustrated tone. She grabbed her hair that hung in it's usual way. She pulled it over her shoulder to allow some ventilation to her neck. Even though that didn't help much. She loved the sun, she really did. But heat like this? She was not too into it. And to add on to everything she had no clue where she was. At all. She had tried looking at her map but just concluded that she was somewhere in the tan area. Only because that was a desert and that word described this place rather well. Her deduction skills only reached that far. And all these random ruins? She had no idea. She was still just calling them misplaced rock structures. That was all they were to her, even if she knew. To her there was not much sentimental value in things like that.

She kept on her way with a deep scowl. She hated this. She was alone and hot. She hated being alone. She hated everything right now. She just plain hated it.

Rolego felt her shake him a bit and he only smiled as well as groaned and made it hard for her to move him. He wanted to get up and go, but he really did not want to go without being at least a small burden. He gave small grunts and moans of annoyance, but as he did he heard Salane begin to chuckle and laugh, making him almost do the same.

Drake. Com on get up. I have to go back to the ruins. I need to find something.


Finally Rolego did give and began to stand and shake his fur. He also went to the watering puddle to both jump into and drink. His body was drained for some reason but the water made him feel so much better. But then he began to pick up a scent. It was not of an animal or anything else. It was another person for sure. But it was accompanied by a alot more. The smell of gunpowder....and something else...

Rolego quickly rose out of the water and began to give a low growl. But he ran to the side of Salane as he did so. He did not want her thinking he was mad at her. but his blood was beginning to change. He was not mad at anything he was just placed onto the defensive fairly quickly. His head was right under her hand. His growls were not loud...but they were easily noticeable. He was not wanting a fight either. But harm came, harm was going to brought back.

Salane felt him begin to groan and roll against her and she gave a small laugh to herself and as well as he. But after her words she felt him begin to stand and past her and to the water to where she heard a very noticeable splash in the water. Something she wished she could have done, it was very hot out in the mid day but this was the only thing she brought with her. The clothes on her back and the water she held. But then as she sat with a smile she began to feel a presence. Something else was shifting the sands...she could literally feel it. Then she began to hear Drake's growls, and that made her stand and place her palm out in front of her a little, making the sand and dirt rise a little and flaw a bit like water.

She then felt her other hand feel the fur of Drake. She could feel the rumble of his growl through the ground. It was very strong and low, making the ground shake making it rather annoying to sense anything. But as she waited she began to feel vibration of a distant step, this was not any animal.

She then knelt so that she was about head lvl with Rolego. Where ever his head was to turn that is where she was going to look and strike if it meant harm. Well if he or she meant harm. Being blind made her very uncomfortable, this was her very first fight with anyone like this. She usually avoided conflict, but seeing how she was positioned, she did not really have a choice. All she could do is pray that whatever it was was not coming for blood.

Ronnie shoved her hand in her pockets and exhaled somewhat boredly as she made her way through sand. Sand sand sand. So much sand. She found herself staring at the ground as she made her way through the sand. Then suddenly froze when she saw some sand lifting. That wasn't normal, was it? Ronnie didn't know much about sand, but knew it didn't move like that. She looked up to see a girl and a.... Creature. She looked curious as soon as she say them. The girl was blindfolded and she figured she was the controller of the sand. And the creature..

She wasn't just looking at them. She was gawking at them. The creature was so odd.

What is THAT?

She had to ask about Rolego but her voice was filled with curiosity and enthusiasm. She was excited. She was finally not alone in this place. But was waiting to see is she was going to be attacked. Her hand on her Caracal pistol in her pocket. Waiting just in case. But didn't seem very concerned about it. Her demeanor about the whole situation was more hyper excited. She was rocking back and forth on her ankles. Her movement to scratch her head seeming almost twitchy.

And who are you?

She asked, grinning widely. She was just hoping these weren't people she would have to kill for being annoying... But then again, maybe they could help get her out of here.

Rolego could then begin to hear foot steps and this just made his blood boil a ton. He did not want any kind of intrusion. He was also beginning to get very protective of Salane. She could not see and that alone could kill her. He did not know how this was going to play out so the moment he began to see the shade of the being he gave a loud gruff growl. Then it began to say something...

What is THAT?

Rolego did not understand this language. He actually never heard it. But as he looked more at he person he could see that she was looking more in surprise that fear and anger. So he stopped his growling as soon as he felt his bones and his gut told him it was fine. But he did keep an I on her. She was making him feel, very odd. Mainly cause he was not used to getting this kind of attention.

And who are you?

Rolego soon turned to Salane, hoping that she knew what was going on and also knew what he was saying. it was getting very difficult for him to know how to react to this. This langue only made him feel very self conscious as well and felt himself simply shrink back inside his shell. It was just strange, seeing a new face and it was also not afraid to look at him like many others were.

Salane listened to every move and every step. Her ears and mind were acting like sonar as she used the sands to track where this thing was going, well this person. But, the closer it came the harder she clung to Drake's fur. Also, the closer it came the more she felt the need to run. She never had a fight before, she hated the thought of it. She had once but that was the last. The regret never left her. Doing something like this again, she would not be able to bear the regret. The burden was to heavy for her as it was. She knew she had a help, but she was scared regardless. But as she was about to panic she actually began to hear words from the one who came in their direction.

What is THAT?

Salane knew to whom she was referring to. But what caught her off guard was the languge she used. Cretan, that was not normal at all. They were in the middle of the Ishvallen ruins. The last one she would have expected to meet would be from out of the country in general. But she soon let her fear and guard down, she did not want to make herself seem like a threat to this person. Besides Salane did not hear Rolego anymore, his growling has ceased. So at least she felt that at least the person meant no harm. Yet.

This...is Drake. He is actually a Chimera. Please, do be a tad bit respectful to him. There is a human in there somewhere.

She patted Drake's head a little. Making sure she knew where he exactly was. She wanted to be sure that he knew what was happening outside of her sight. She completely depended on Drake if things did get out of hand.

And who are you?

Salane let out a small sigh and then gave a small grin. Now seeing that this women meant no harm to either of them. The tone she carried was not threatening at all. She did not need her eyes to see that she was okay to speak to. So she placed her right hand down and let the sands that was actually spinning around the two fall back to the ground. Then began to breath normally again. She actually had her breath held. Being so worried about hurting someone took a great emotional toll. but seeing that was not going to happen, she gave a great grin.

My name is Salane and as i said before, this is Drake...well That is what I named him. What of you? Why are you here? It is strange to meet someone from over the seas.

She spoke with a cool and lovable tone. Both trying to keep Drake in check and to make sure the women in front of her was not feeling unwelcome. She may need held for all that Salane knew.

Ronnie had watched the creature relax and tilted her head and pulled her hands out of her pockets. Figuring that they were not to be killed. Atleast not yet. She figured they would come in handy. She wanted company, and she figured this was all she was going to be blessed with. A totally boss creature and a creepy girl in a blindfold.

This...is Drake. He is actually a Chimera. Please, do be a tad bit respectful to him. There is a human in there somewhere.

Chimera... Why did that name sound so familiar? She looked at this Drake fellow. Chimera... Chimera... Oh! It struck her and she suddenly grinned and moved slightly closer but was cautious. Her movements guided by the fear of sinking in the sand.

My name is Salane and as i said before, this is Drake...well That is what I named him. What of you? Why are you here? It is strange to meat someone from over the seas.

Ronnie nodded as she looked at the girl and chuckled carelessly.

Salane and Drake, got it. My name is Ronnie, son!

She grinned smugly as she knelt down about a yard away from them, looking at the Chimera, rocking slightly as she looked at him with curious eyes.

I used to know a Chimera but he looked a lot different

She nodded and held a hand out to both of them as if expecting a handshake. She grinned at both of them somewhat slyly. Yes. They would do. She just need out of here and she didn't want to go alone.... Yes. These two. She suddenly jerked her head upwards to look at the sun. The sun was bright. She felt sorry for cacti. She closed one eye and frowned as she saw a bird fly across the sky...

She shot her hand in her pocket and pulled out her Caracal pistol and just as swiftly shot the bird right in the chest. She grinned again as the bird fell from the sky. She then shoved the gun back in her pocket.

Sorry, just had to shoot SOMETHIN', dog

Rolego simply looked at the two of them but he did see that Salane let her guard down to a point that she was not as tied to him. It made him a little bit comfortable knowing that someone else thought this person was okay to talk to none the less be around.But the one thing that did urk him was the gun held on the girls hip. he did not know what or why she carried that she looked pretty young. But as Rolego listened to Salane speak he saw the expression on the others face all of a sudden change as she looked at him. he only took a small step back. He did not know what she was thinking behind those eyes.

But soon after he saw her suddenly pull it out and this made him have a cold chill to the bone. He instinctively closed his eyes and waited. The sound of the gun shot made his whole body shake like a rag doll for a few moments. But as he finally began to come around and not feeling any pain he opened his eyes slowly to look down at himself. Making sure he was simply in shock. Happily for him he was not harmed in any ways. Salane looked to be okay as well. But as he began to look around he saw a dead bird. With a giant whole laying the middle of its chest.

He heard the women say something to him, which he still did not understand, but he saw her place the gun away which did give him a better feel of being safe. But he thought the sudden blow up was unneeded.

He almost had a heart-attack. He may still be in the process of getting one cause his body did not go back to calm. He was shaking twice as hard as before and his breathing quickened to a point that he was panting like a wolf. He was now in a state of fear shock. He was used to guns before, but he was human, and had finger and could shoot a gun back. He could only bite and claw now.

Salane and Drake, got it. My name is Ronnie, son!

Salane behind her fold rolled her eyes hearing the pride and also hearing how thick it was. It was as thick as corn syrup. But as she did this she could feel Ronnie suddenly step forward. It made Salane's guard suddenly spark, but she kept her hand down. She did not know why, but she had to be sure that Ronnie was not going to do anything to either of them. She did not want to lash out falsely.

I used to know a Chimera but he looked a lot different

Salane looked at the women with her covered eyes. She knew exactly where she stood and knew how she moved, well a little. She could not see what was going on at the top half of her body. if she wanted to know she would have scent an arc of sand into the being..letting her be able to read every movement cause of the sand in her shirt, pants etc. But there was a moment where she felt like something was wrong. There was silence in the area, and that is what messed with her so much. There was nothing and the girl was not speaking at all.

Then all of a sudden a loud crack of a gun filled Salane's ear. With her heightened senses and her eyes being covered this scared her. Alot. She did not want to move cause she did not know what happened. She was quickly placed into a small state of shock and she shook. She did not want to push her luck now, she thought she had said something wrong. She was also just about to say that she was sorry for doing whatever she did. But then she finally heard Ronnie speak.

Sorry, just had to shoot SOMETHIN', dog

Salane after hearing this made her go back down to head lvl with Drake. She felt so much safer down here. She did not know what was going to happen next cause that moment was so random it made her think of all of the other reason of why she did that. It made no sense. But the other reason she knelt down was because her ear rang and hurt alot. She was temporarily deaf. But as of now her right ear was messed up and only ringing was heard from it.

It is....Okay...Ouch...So...why are you in...the desert? Did you get lost...?

Salane was actually pretty scared of Ronnie by this point. She did not know she had a gun till this happened.

Ronnie watched the reaction of both of them and tilted her head, blinking at them as if completely baffled by their reactions. What was wrong with them? Cowering away from a simple gunshot as if it was aimed at them. She the grinned and the chuckled.

Y'all are fine, just child dog! I won't be bustin' a cap in either of yous guys.

She reassured them before just sitting down in the sand and putting her hands on her crossed ankles as Salane moved down to head level with the Chimera. She looked at him again and smiled and tapped her fingers on her pants with a rather goofy look on her face. Her eyes somehow seemed rather dull, though. They gave her a somewhat deadish look though the rest of her was so animated.

It is....Okay...Ouch...So...why are you in...the desert? Did you get lost...?

Ronnie looked down in thought and brought her arms up and crossed them on her chest with a look of though on her features. She was thinking about whether or not she should lie but then sighed. Deciding that now was not the moment for pride.

She waved her arms and exasperation, rolling her eyes with a scowl. Her shame quite obvious. This was rare, as Ronnie usually denied her faults. But this was an important matter. Her life actually depended on this. If she didn't get help she would surely die. And Ronnie was not for the idea of dying.

Rolego, with his high sensitive ears ringing as loud as they could, gave a small annoyed groan. The sound of constant ringing made him want to yelp and cry a little. The pain was bad enough but the knowledge of one who held a gun made him very uneasy. He did not want to be one near a gun, but what made him stop thinking about that is what he heard her say earlier. That she knew a chimera as well before him. But what he did not know is where the chimera was now.

Did she kill it? Or was there an accident? What happened to it? This went around his mind like an angry bee. He wanted to know but he to scared to speak up about it. he wanted to keep his tongue silent. He did not want to push others away just because he could. This has happened before, he also did not know whether or not this was the reason on why Ronnie was alone now.

Rolego gave a small sigh as he saw the girls gestures and her words that made no sense to him. He looking at Salane to hopefully hint him in some way. He was literally blind when it came to this language. It made no sense and it also it made no sense on why she was out here to begin with. There were so many things that did not make sense about this situation. But also it did not make any sense that Salane was here with him now.

He soon did drop his thoughts of Ronnie, she had to be telling the truth. Why would she lie about it?

Salane could not hear, but also she was quite shaken. She was not expecting to her a sudden gunshot from out of no where. It scared her to death of the now new possibilities. But as she began to hear again and her mind beginning to calm, she felt her shivers begin to go through her body. but she quickly got it under control. She began to think other than the obvious. The obvious being that the person she was talking was probably a little off. But soon she did hear the woman sit down. Salane wished she could see right not, but she resisted the urge to remove her blindfold. Anyways, it would not be a good idea. Her eyes would go blind from the sun.

She silently recuperated as she heard Ronnie begin to speak.

I have no idea why I am here or where I am. Shit, I don't even know what this map it trying to tell me.

Salane gave a small laugh to Ron. But then gave a small reach out with her hand. Lifting the sand a little. But soon she was able to find out where Ron herself had come from. From way north, if she turned right she would been out of the desert. Salane gave a small smile to her, but then began to stand. She was little wobbly at first, but she stood completely up and gave out a hand to Ronnie. It was to both help her know where Ronnie was, and to show that she was more than happy to help.

Well, if you need help ask away. Drake and I will be more than happy to help.

Salane sat with her hand out with a kind grin on her face. She knew this place, despite she could not see. She used the sands to navigate for miles around and also if lucky, find the port. Something she had not found yet, and would love to if she was to go to different areas.

Ronnie looked from the Chimera to the girl again. Then back at the chimera. She looked at him with a cautious look now. Her eyes narrowed slightly and she looked contemplative. She was deciding. Should he be trusted? The last one... He was at points but even he had a point where the animal took over to the point of attacking those he was close to. Was this one the same? He looked nice enough but then again, so did the other one.

Then she held her hand out to the Chimera in a shaking gesture. She was curious how much human he was able to muster up. How well did he get along with people? She noticed that the two got along well... But it was hard to tell how long they had been near eachother.... She was really hungry for tacos right now. Her stomach growled and she scowled. Then Salane's voice caught her by surprise.

She looked up at her to see her standing with her hand out. She smiled and chuckled.

Even though you are a little scared of me?

She guessed this. She clapped her hand in Salane's and pulled herself up. Her skin was cold and very thin but not in a sickly kind of way. But in a way that perhaps she should start eating more hamburgers.

Rolego only watched and listened. He did not know where this was going. But also he really kind of did not want to know. His mind was on other things. Especially the whereabouts of this other chimera Ronnie spoke of. But, his thoughts were cut short when he saw Salane suddenly stand and present her hand. He could see that she shook alot. The gunshot would do the same to anyone who could not see and to those like he. Being extremely different and that is usually the last thing ones like him seen and heard.

But after hearing the exchange of words, he saw that Ronnie took her hand. Which did give Rolego a good feeling of security. He could see and completely understand of what happened. He needed no words. He could finally at least take his mind of the fears of being killed by her. Though the possibility of that happening was still very high to him.

He looked around as the sands he saw lift was still in the air. It was kind of majestic...and it also made him feel,well...at home. He could not shake it anymore. He finally regained what he had lost. A family of friends....he could not ask for anymore. He was grinning uncontrollably by now and felt there was no need to hide it.

With a hand on Drakes mane and another in the air simply waiting for a sound and or feel, she stood there with a smile, not knowing whether or not she was even close enough, or even looking directly at Ronnie. Which was one of her fears as of now. She did not want to be off by to much. She would look ridiculous if this was true about her standing. But that was soon dropped. She heard Ronnie speak finally, which made her give a small sigh of relief.

Even though you are a little scared of me?

She then suddenly felt a sudden clap from the sudden grip by Ronnie. it startled her a little. but it did not stun her as much as cold and clammy Ron's hands were despite the sun and the brute heat that scorched the land. But still, she gave a great grin to Ron. She had nothing to fear now knowing that Ronnie was with them. She could trust her. Despite the way she does move around with the gun. She kind of though of Ron as a trigger happy girl, who just wants some action in her life.

Of course. It will take more than this to make me think otherwise. So where were you heading to? I came hear to look at the ruins a little.

She gave a small point away from the small oasis from where they stood. The ruins was still in their sight.

There is clean water and...well these stalks that Drake found. They saved my life when I came here and found him. I am sure he will help us find more.

Salane wanted to be sure that she and everyone else was ready. Cause when they left, they will not be coming back. She knew of this very well.

Ronnie waited, her foot tapping as she watched the two of them react, then as Salane spoke her head snapped into attention in a jerky manner, her eyes focusing on the blindfolded girl. Her other hand moving into her pocket. She smiled and looked back at Rolego and smiled at him. This was the first time the whole time her smile was real and not unsure and cautious or just plain spazzy. But her eyes still looked kindof dull.

Of course. It will take more than this to make me think otherwise. So where were you heading to? I came hear to look at the ruins a little.

She thought of this response and laughed slightly in a carefree way with a smug grin. Her hand withdrew as she thought of a way to respond but her thoughts suddenly derailed and fell into the oblivion that is her brain.

Can I touch Drake?

This was where her thoughts told her to go and she obeyed them But then Salane's next statement got her back on track. And she pursed her lips together in thought again.

There is clean water and...well these stalks that Drake found. They saved my life when I came here and found him. I am sure he will help us find more.

She stopped her foot tapping then looked up at the sky.

And... I forgot where I was going. Mind if I tag along til I remember? And I could use some water. And Tacos but I doubt there are any here.

Rolego looked at the two as they began to speak to each other and he only sat there. Just like a child at a dinner table. Sit down shut up and be pretty. Like he was taught growing up, back at home, years ago. But since he was unable to do that, he at least could start his life over and his memories can start anew. He did not know what was going to happen, but at the same time he did not care. It seemed very unneeded to know. He knew that if he was to know anything he had to learn the language, which might take a long time to do.

He then looked back at the water hole to see that it was half way gone. It had not been an hour and the sun is doing a number on this pool of water. The smaller animals that were nearby were not even there anymore. They had already moved to another place for water to drink. Knowing that they had better leave while they had water in their stomachs. The same thought Rolego had. Though his body was better suited, he still needed water. So he moved himself to the edge of the water and began to drink.

He drank alot more than he thought. His tanks was not even filled, but he did drink enough for him to last a very long time. Though the heat, his fur and mane kept him cool for some reason. Everything that made who he was now made him able to adapt rather quickly. In the cool he was warm, in the heat he was cool. Being him now had its perks. He did not know however the proposition Ronnie had made, How could he? He did not know what was going on.

Salane soon felt her hand suddenly let got and that was a good enough sign to tell that she was able to walk. but as she stood there she did not feel Drake anymore which did unnerve her. She soon began to stand still, she did not want to move till he came back from what he was doing. She did hear subtle dips in the water not to far away. So she knew that he was drinking water, but at the same time this also did make her feel a little uncomfortable. This was the only water place she had seen for miles. She did not know where the next one will be at. So the possibilities of running out was high. She only had one canteen, something that should have been thought of alot more about before setting off. She was not expecting to get lost either.

But that was all of a sudden stopped, her thinking, when she remembered what Ronnie said about Drake. Something about petting him. Salana gave a thoughtful look as she began to sit, which ended with her falling decently hard. But after a moment of thought, she looked back at Ronnie and gave a small nod.

Yes, you can. But be careful. I dont think he is fully, well, trusting yet. I dont even know he can speak, but if he can....

She gave a small sigh, it must have been hard to live this life. Well for Drake, he had lived through alot if he wont speak if he could. Which for some reason, she thought he could. He knew everything she said and reacted promptly and correctly, he should be able to....right? But she soon gave Ronnie a sign that it was fine. But to be careful.

In a jerky motion Ronnie quickly saluted her, then recalled that she couldn't even see it and laughed at herself, though it must have been off for those not looking or unable to see that she was just now suddenly laughing.

I must ask you a question, though

She said, with a curios tone as she watched her. Part of her just wanted to force the blindfold off but somewhere Ronnie still know that that would be a mistake. And right now there was no room for mistake.

That is, if you don't mind answering

She added quickly, her speech as rushed as ever. She was tapping her foot again out of nothing better to do. She hate standing still for too long. She needed to move somehow. She even resorted to swinging her arms slightly as a means of entertaining herself.

Her eyes were now no longer just on Salane but were travelling around. Taking in their surroundings. So, these were ruins. So... Ishval ruins was on her map, wasn't it? She wasn't sure better she figured she should check after this conversation. Or maybe later. She wished that there was more to do. Like, small animals to chase. That was always fun. And if they didn't entertain her... Well, she shot them.

Rolego continued to drink his water and felt his need to feel refreshed simply heighten. but also his mind was in a torrent of total confusion. His mind was in a mess. He was not used to people being around him, and seeing that his presence was doing just the opposite, made him very very uncomfortable, especially with one who has enough guts and ammunition to fuel a war time economy. His stomach went to ribbons thinking of that. But, also...this had it very good advantages. Despite how he thought of it, he knew that these advantages that sat in his mind trumped all if not most of his fears and pessimistic thoughts of the future.

He was not longer alone and in exile. Something that he placed himself in to make sure that others would not have to worry about him hurting them, and also, he finally had someone to call when he needed them. Which made his body begin to warm like he was standing next to a campsite fire. The reality of it began to sink in as well...making his depressed expression finally lighten up.

Though it was small, he had a grin. Something that meant alot to him as he looked in the reflection that sat in the water. He could not believe it himself. Seeing himself smile for the first time in months, it made his entire being change. He felt happiness at a whole different level. Something that could now never fall back to what it was. His mind that was a storm soon calmed like the calmest sea after a storm. He then turned to look at the two again with a small feeling that he could not explain. It literally made his heart thump so hard it made him think he was in trouble. But the longer he looked...the more his past began to shrink and shrink, till it had no meaning. He was finally free of his misery and pain. So after a moment, he shook his fur, and walked to sit next to Salane who by now who was sitting as well. As he did he gave her a small nuzzle with his nose. His soul being repaired and fixed at the same time...making his smile broaden and his spirit ever more stronger.

Happiness....

Salane was sitting down with a sweet smile as she waited for Ronnie to do what she wanted to do. But as she sat there she could only feel a bit odd about her situation and where she was at. She did not know who this chimera was and the more she thought of him the more she wondered about his past. She knew the life of being one was hard. Especially one like he. She felt scars on his body from past offenses and fights, and some were so easily noticeable it made her heart and mind ache so much it almost made her want to break down in tears. She never had to go through anything like that, but she knew if she did she probably would have ended it herself. The months of pain and suffering and to take it alone with no help from others. It was almost unimaginable to think of. But she did however have a single flicker of light in her mind, which by now was dark in gloomy.

She found him. She FOUND him, by accident and she felt so lucky that she did. Cause not only did it save her life, but it just as well saved his own. Despite the time they had together was short, she felt that the bond they now shared was as strong as the mightiest rock. She found herself begin to smile uncontrollably to this...one day made the two almost inseparable. But that is when she heard Drake come to her and nuzzled her neck. Making her giggle like a child.

I must ask you a question, though

Salane looked in the general direction of the sound of Ronnie's Voice. Hearing the curious tone. Which was not really a surprise. She already knew what Ronnie was about to say about why she wore the blindfold. But she waited, not wanting to jump to conclusions.

Ronnie gave a small shake of her head to Ronnie and gave a small grin of reassurance. A question was a question, and it was better to know what it was rather than to over think it. Salane knew that all to well on her studies, sometimes taking months to find one thing or give a good guess on something small and insignificant.

Ronnie looked at the smiling chimera and something about his slight smile... Made her smile. She didn't understand it as she wasn't usually caught in other people's smiles but something about it Rolego's smile seemed somewhat deep, even though she isn't really a deep thinker. Ronnie being somewhat simple.

"Well... I want curious, Salane. Why do you wear a blindfold? Are you blind or somethin'? Also, why are you here, even?"

Ronnie asked, speaking quickly and at a slightly louder level than a normal tone only because that was just how she spoke. She had to get it out before she forgot the thought. Which is something Ronnie was good at. If it wasn't forced out like that she would say the first two words and her thought derailment disorder will go of into something completely different. It got annoying but you had to be patient and such with her. She was not exactly easy to work with all of the time. She was more the type to need somebody behind her to yell at her and keep her on track. That was why she always did things like getting lost in the desert.
