Lucas sat at a table outside of a cafe, enjoying the weather of central city on the nice spring day that it is. In one hand was a book and in the other was a cup of coffee. On the table in front of him was an empty plate with a few crumbs on it. Lucas was wearing some street clothes. They consisted of a pair of jeans, black normal combat boots, and a large jacket was hung over the back of the chair. He had left his armor and sword back at his apartment, all he had on him in the way of self-defense was a small knife. His long white hair was tied back in a messy ponytail. His scar stood out for the world to see. On the bicep of his right arm was a tattoo of a stylized horse-head in a circle surrounded by some runes. Calmly he put down the coffee cup and turned the page in his book and continued reading, listening to the sounds of the city going by.

While Lucas may have been calmly sitting by at a cafe, Menoitos was on the run. His feet smacked the ground as he ran along, looking left and right, making sure that he was only being chased. Looked like he was okay. But the shouting from behind him said otherwise.

"Stop! Thief!" Meno looked down at the bag of groceries in his right hand. Sure, life had been harder than usual lately, with the Christmas spirit stopping people from hiring him, left, right and center. So sure, he had been broke as fuck lately. SURE, he had resorted to theft to keep his day-to-day life sustained. But as far as those cops were concerned, they were chasing a normal human. He ran straight past a dumpster, and grinned. Perfect. Stopping himself and turning towards the dumpster was a half-second feat, and it took him yet another second to quickly move the large steel box in the way of any pursuers. He ran out of the alley, and stopped short.

"Huff... Puff..." His breaths were short and heavy, and he carefully watched the world around him, making sure he was no longer being chased. The green-haired man in the white suit was pretty damn conspicuous though, so they were sure to recognize him eventually. It was just a matter of time. Made him wish he was Envy. He walked calmly now, along the street in Central, until he came across a man who looked rather... out of place. He smiled softly, and sat at a table nearby, waving away a waiter, claiming that he simply "needed to rest".

Lucas watched a green haired man come jogging out of a nearby alleyway. The man seemed to stop to try to catch his breath and then he continued down the road. His green hair and white suit stood out but nothing that Lucas hadn’t ever seen before. Lucas went back to his book and thought little of the green haired man. Soon he heard a scrape of a chair being moved and a man by the sounds of it talking to the waiter waiving him away. Lucas looked up and saw the green haired man sitting there a table over. He seemed to be almost watching him. Lucas marked his place in the book, closed it and turned towards the man. “yes can I help you?” Lucas asked. He picked up the cup of coffee and finished what little was in it. He put it down with a small *clink*. He waived a waiter over to refill it.

Masani watched over the cafe from the shadows of an alley. She didn't usually wander around the city in the day time, Central was full of people and she disliked it very much. But because the crowds were so large, it was easy for her to blend in. She could move through them quite discreetly without anyone really caring about her presence. She sighed and began walking to the cafe, the sun hurt her eyes. She squinted as she approached the door, staying out of sight and out of mind. She glanced behind her for a moment, at the tables outside the cafe. It was tempting to have a drink in the warmth of the day. But Masani decided it was too dangerous. She went inside and spoke to the clerk at the counter.

"I'll have a plain coffee please."the clerk nodded and told her the total. Masani paid and then waited patiently at a table. A waiter brought her the drink and Msani blew on it before taking a sip. She stared quietly at the windows, watching people interact. She couldn't even remember the last time she held a conversation with anyone; except the barkeep at the tavern she worked for. Even then, it wasn't real conversation. It was mostly just him barking orders at her. Masani sighed deeply and continued to drink her coffee.
