"What, a quote...do what you love and don't let anyone get in you're way. What...you were expecting something more profound or pirate-y?"-Jack Fulhelmknight
...........................................................................

FULL NAME:

→ Prefers to be called Jack
→ Alias: The Pirate Jack

AGE:
→ 25

SEX:
→ Male

BIRTH PLACE:
→ Small Ishvallan Settlement, Unnamed

RACE:
→ Half Ishvallan, Half Amestrian

DATE OF BIRTH:
→ 02/22/1986

...........................................................................

→ 68.0388 kg (150lbs)

PICTURE:
Spoiler:

DESCRIPTION:
→ Tall, dark, and handsome; Jack fits the typical description of your "dashing rouge". Because of his mixed race, Jack has the tan skin and ash-silver hair of an Ishvallan while having the eyes and accent of an Amestrian; a rare trait indeed. Since most Ishvallan's and even half Ishvallan's inherit the races dominate red eyes, Jack has seemed to avoid this; allowing for him to easily mix in with both Ishvallan's and Amestrian's. Along with his naturally sexy skin tone, Jack keeps himself in very good shape; being lean with a slightly rugged and muscular body. As stated earlier, Jack has the natural ash/silver hair of an Ishvallan that is worn messily, held out of his face by a red cloth tied around his forehead and a metal helmet. As for clothing, Jack usually wears light and baggy clothing in darker colors. Oddly enough, he also seem to prefer to wear open shirts that show off his chest and stomach, and says that he likes the fresh air on his body. For "accessories", Jack wears a small, gold chain necklace and a silver pendant with a blue gem in the center on a simple fiber necklace. While he doesn't have any major scars, Jack always has many smaller scratches on his body that are easily visible due to his style of clothing.

When it comes to posture and demeanor, Jack acts just like you'd expect; usually keeping a sort of lazy posture and laid-back demeanor. While he normally walks lightly slow, as if to take in his surroundings, Jack is a very fast runner; and can be nearly unmatched in a footrace. Hi voice is similar to Johnny Yong Bosch's, although is slightly more relaxed and laid-back. Overall, when you first see Jack, he will seem to be your typical charming rouge; although because he charms you, you probably won't notice if he takes a coin or two from your pocket.

...........................................................................

PERSONALITY:
→ A Pirate and charming rouge, Jack's personality is more complex than what can be gauged by just his appearance. For starters, Jack always seems to come off as a "smooth talker", usually able to judge a person's basic personality quickly and then determine what it is that they would like to hear. While this is very valuable, Jack can sometimes make a mistake, or misread a person's personality; often leading to an argument, fight, or Jack running for his life. Of course, along with his "smooth talking", Jack is also a master at causing all sorts of distractions to keep people from seeing what he is truly up to. This little skill comes in real handy when Jack hasn't eaten for days and has run out of money. Along with these skills, Jack also seems to have a high level of charisma, aiding him in talking to and leading others. In fact, many times, it seems that other rouges are drawn towards Jack, looking at him almost as a type of leader. Overall, on the outside, Jack acts like an aloof rouge; doing as he pleases and moving from place to place.

Deep down, however, Jack is actually a very nice person. While he may sometimes be found stealing food, Jack does have his own moral codes; and only resorts to theft if he is dead broke. He also only steals the exact amount that he needs to get by; never more and never less. Of course, aside from that, Jack does actually enjoy making friends with others, as well as having friendly conversations with new people. While this may seem a little odd for a "Pirate", it all ties back into his high charisma, making him a real people person. Now, while this may be Jack's "true" self, he usually masks it with his charming rouge demeanor; wishing to remain aloof to most strangers.

When it comes to fighting, Jack seems to be a natural; enjoying the thrill of a good match. Just as he is usually able to read a person's basic personality; when in battle, Jack is able to determine his opponent's fighting style faster than most others. Jack is also quite skilled at using his Alchemy during battle, and it will often play a part in how he fights. Now, this all being said, Jack prefers to refrain from taking a life, and doesn't really like fights to the death. Because of this, as well as certain events from his past, Jack seems to dislike the militaristic rule of Amestris, as well as the armies of pretty much all other nations. That being said, Jack does not hold any grudges against the State Alchemists or soldiers themselves; as they are only doing what the deem as right. Of course, he does dislike the egotistical and quite frankly murderous that just happen to be State Alchemists, but they are usually few and far between.

When he's not fighting, stealing, or running from the law, Jack has a few ways that he prefers to relax. For starters, there is always sitting down in a bar or near the shore with a full bottle of rum; one of his favorite drinks and ways to relax. Aside from that, Jack loves talking to pretty girls; something he is both good and bad at. While his "charming rouge" and charismatic side seem to draw some females towards him (not to mention his tanned skin), he seems to be unlucky when it comes to the ladies. Sure, they may sometimes be drawn towards him, but they usually seem to be more interested in hi roguish, "bad boy" looks, and he is never able to find anything meaningful between them. However, when it comes to a girl that he is attracted to, Jack seems to lose some of his "smooth talking" skills, and finds it harder to express just exactly how he feels. Aside from all of this, Jack does also enjoy simply lounging around and getting lost in his own thoughts from time to time.

Overall, Jack seems to be a genuinely nice rouge. While he is full of charisma, his friendly nature usually helps in making him a more charming person. Even if you were able to catch him taking a coin from you, you'd be more likely to laugh at the attempt and give him a simple "slap on the wrist" instead of getting angry at the the attempt.

LOVE:
→ Exotic/Gourmet Food
→ Rum
→ Music (mainly rock and metal)
→ Girls (especially the pretty ones)
→ Cooking (yeah, he likes to cook, like a man)
→ Fighting (not so much to the death, but Jack does love a good fight)
→ Alchemy
→ Making Friends (while he may be a rouge, Jack does like to have some friends)

HATE:
→ Bugs (more of a dislike than a hate, but will kill any bug upon seeing it),
→ Public Restrooms/Showers
→ Country Music (the only type of music that he really dislikes)
→ The State/Military (although not exactly an activist, Jack dislikes the whole military rule, as well as how they use Alchemy; that being said, he holds no grudges against State Alchemists)
→ Dishonest Thieves (while he may be a rouge and sometimes a thief, Jack does have his own code of honor, and only resorts to stealing when it is the only means available)

IDOL:
→ Old friend who taught him Alchemy (story-wise, this character's name is unimportant, but may be revealed later; and no, he is not dead)

...........................................................................

HISTORY:
→ Born in a small Ishvallan settlement on the outskirts of a minor city, Jack's history is both mundane yet filled with unsuspected interest. For starters, Jack was born to an Ishvallan mother and an Amestrian soldier for a father; giving him a very unique background. Upon birth, however, there was something different about Jack when compared to all others of Ishvallan blood; his eyes. Unlike all others of Ishvallan blood, Jack had seemingly been born without the distinct red eyes of Ishvala; his eyes being Amestrian instead. Of course, this really didn't bother his parents, as they already knew that their child would be born with mixed blood. Now, what this did mean was that they decided to raise him in both the Ishvallan religion and in the basics of Alchemy. Because of his eyes, the were able to do this much easier; as although he appeared Ishvallan at a glance, one look at his eyes would tell you otherwise. Of course, because of the hypocrisy this might have caused, they made sure that he kept Alchemy and his religion separate. They also taught him slightly different from all other Ishvallans, in that they viewed Alchemy as a power given to humans by God to allow them to make their own way; thus being the true creation of free will.

For the rest of his childhood, Jack enjoyed a pretty simple life; the only real excitement coming from learning the fundamentals of Alchemy. Of course, because of where they lived, it was easy to tell that he and his family were slightly poor; although the always seemed to be able to scrape together the money needed to buy food and essentials. Whilst we was still young, Jack's Father would tell him some stories about his life as a soldier for the Amestrian state army. Along with these stories, his father would also always warn him of the dangers of being a soldier, and always encouraged him to use his strength (both physical and Alchemical) for the good of mankind. Because of this, as well as old stories of the hardships endured by the Ishvallan people at the hand of Amestris, Jack made a promise to himself to never join any military; wanting to help others in his own unique way. While this may have been the idealistic thoughts of a child, this promise has stuck with Jack throughout his life, and has helped shape his mistrust of the major military powers.

Upon turning 16, Jack decided that it was high time he left out to see the world for himself. As his mother would always say, "That boy has his father's adventurous spirit", referring to his days in the military. While his parents were saddened slightly to see their child leave, they both knew that each and every person had to go out into the world one day and make their own future. Despite being slightly poor, his parents did manage to scrounge up enough money to give Jack a parting gift, as well as making sure that their son had at least somewhere to start. For the next two years, Jack spent his time traveling around to many different settlements as well as some small cities; mostly Ishvallan. For work, he usually did some odd jobs, and by using his charm, he was usually able to find a place to sleep. Of course, it was at the age of 18 that Jack met someone who would ultimately change the rest of his life.

It all happened one day after Jack had finished a small job, having cheated a little bit when he used his small knowledge of Alchemy to repair a vase that he had accidentally knocked down. On his way to a local food stand, Jack ran bumped into an odd looking young man, seemingly no more than a few months older than himself. Of course, Jack immediately apologized for not looking where he was going, which caused the other young man to laugh. The man then revealed that he had witnessed Jack preforming some rudimentary Alchemy, and thought that he had some real potential. While Jack found this quite odd at first, the young man assured him as he explained that he would have talked to him earlier, but he did not know his name. So, after a little laugh shared between the two of them, they both went out to grab some food before discussing anything more.

After eating, the young man revealed to Jack that he was actually an Alchemist that had traveled all the way from Aerugo, something that Jack found hard to believe at first. Of course, the young man did have some proof of his claim, and showed jack a pair of katana's, each engraved with Aerugese characters. The young man went on to explain that each of the blades were supposedly legendary, made by a master swords smith, and that they were apparently very useful tools for Alchemy. After this, the young man went on to tell Jack about a special type of earth Alchemy that he had been trying to perfect throughout his travels. The young man then went on to say that this Alchemy was actually split into two different groups, "Armor" Alchemy, and "Weapons" Alchemy. Showing interest, the young man then offered to teach Jack the basics of this alchemy, as well as how to use "Armor" Alchemy. When asking if he could also learn the "Weapons" Alchemy, the young man laughed and told Jack that it was still incomplete. Knowing that this could be his chance to learn something that would allow for him to really make a difference, Jack accepted the offer, and the two soon became friends during the training.

While Jack definitely did show some potential at Alchemy, it still took him a while to grasp and then master the concepts and art of what this young man called "Armor" Alchemy. Still, the young man seemed to be quite patient, and even seemed as if he had intended for Jack to use this Alchemy all along. Of course, the training consisted of learning about all of the elements that came into play when creating metals, as well as the composition of a variety of other solid objects that could be used for the "Armor" Alchemy. During this time, the young man also taught Jack how to read and speak Aerugese. After 3 full years of training at this Alchemy, Jack finally became good enough to use it efficiently in battle. To commemorate this, the young man apparently had a special helmet made; a Transmutation aid that allowed for the use of "Armor" Alchemy without having to draw a Transmutation circle every time. A week then passed after Jack had gotten the Alchemy down, and suddenly, one morning, the young man was gone. Of course, Jack knew this because he had left a note behind, stating that he had taught Jack all that he could, as well as that he had left a memento behind for Jack, Honjo Masmune. Jack soon found out that this was one of the two "legendary" swords that the young man had shown him when they first met. Although he was saddened to see such a good friend go, Jack knew that the young man would be disappointed if he were to dwell on that, and quickly vowed to use his new found powers for what he viewed as the "good" path.

For the next years of his life, Jack began to make his way towards Amestris, as well as building a reputation as a "rouge", or "Pirate". In fact, Jack even made an alias for himself, "The Pirate Jack". His goal seemed to be to use his Alchemic powers for the good of the people, while also trying to undermine the authority of the Amestrian state army. As of yet, Jack is not a wanted criminal, but he does have a reputation for being a rouge.

...........................................................................

ALCHEMIC/ALKAHESTRIC ABILITY:
→ Coined by Jack as "Knight Alchemy", he uses a form of Alchemy that is able to transmute and manipulate metals. It's most basic power is to use steel and iron to form a sort of "second skin" armor around the user. Because it is so close to the actual skin, this armor allows for maximum mobility and hardly any decrease in speed. To actually harm Jack, you must first break through the armor; until then he can withstand most any attacks. When it does break, it acts like shedding skin, and the portion that was broken crumbles away from Jack's skin.

...........................................................................

→ Jack is one of the few, if not only persons with Ishvallan blood who does not have red eyes.
→ Native Languages: Amestrian, Ishvallan
→ Fluent Languages: Aerugese (this is mainly for his sword, he can read and speak Aerugese fluently, but cannot write in it.)

REVISE
Dai... >.<;

1. Jack Sparrow much? XDDD;
2. Awesome picture!
3. Okay, note the fact that is is 2011. Pirates don't exist. This is a little much, but honestly anything is possible on our forum. XD What is a pirate without a pirate ship though? He seems a bit crazy to think of himself as such... You should probably rethink this a little.
4. Alchemic Ability: Woah, okay that's way too many abilities. You have to pick one to start with: metal or stone? And you need to give the specifics of what your alchemy controls. You are starting at level one (like everyone else) so you can only have one ability, aka you can only manipulate/reshape/breakdown/etc. only one element. Also, can you take out the pictures and descriptions of the circles? All that is supposed to go in your Transmutation App. Thanks!

All in all, pretty badass character. He is going to be fun for sure.
