BRIEFING:
The circle itself is almost religious in its simplicity yet it’s overall purpose is simply to “break” things. When Victor created it, he had no knowledge of elements or of matter in general, his only ideas was “break’, and that is exactly what this circle does. Basically, the circle causes all bonds in molecules and compounds within the circle to break apart thus leaving a shattered bunch of elements unconnected to each other. However the circles weakness is clear, it cannot be used to assemble objects together after they are broken. Furthermore, it only works on solid objects, liquids and gasses are unaffected by it. Given the crude nature of the circle, it only works on substances that are directly touching it. It cannot affect something that is up in the air above the circle.

Although it has been shown to work well on hard substances such as metals (steel, iron, nickel, copper) as well as on most forms of stone, it’s abilities against most none-metals and metalloids are untested. Against non-carbon based objects it may be entirely useless.

The circle is raggedly enscribed onto Victors chest, however only objects which touch the circle itself are affected, and even then Victor must be concentrating on the circle in order for it to break anything. However the circle is simple enough that it can be enscribed on most surfaces without difficulty.

So, let me get this straight. It just shatters molecules? All it does is break bonds?

Yes, right now that's all it does. Furthermore in order for it to even work, the object he is breaking apart has to be touching the circle. So unless he draws it on something else he has to bring his chest into contact with whatever he wants broken.

Mechanically speaking it is similar to Scars arm. However given that Victor is currently ignorant of different kinds of material and their electron orbital structures, his ability to break things is severly limited. Often the circle will only partially work against a substance h is unfamiliar with as he is unable to adequately channel the energy to break the bonds in the most effective manner possible.

So basically, yes that is all the circle does at this time. Seriously, how complex do you think your transmutative abilities would be if you were raised in a cage and developed your circle purely by chance.

(Though much much later I have big plans. Eventually I'm going to give him air manipulation and change the circles meaning from "break" to "smash" allowing him to perform nuclear fussion on a small scale... But that is far in the future. After he has attempted and failed human transmutation)
